Channel Ten's Angela Bishop left mortified as she is made to read out gross pun live on air: 'I can't believe I said that'

Angela Bishop broke the fourth wall on Thursday after her 10News producers slipped a joke about Brad Pitt breaking wind into her teleprompter.
The veteran TV presenter, 57, was introducing a news item about Brad Pitt's recent appearance on the Kelce brothers' podcast, in which he talked about some of his early career mishaps.
'Well, you can see him hitting the gas in cinemas right now in F1, but Brad Pitt hit a different kind of gas on a film seat earlier in his career...' Angela said as she announced the segment in her serious newsreader voice.
'Sitting down with the Kelce brothers on their podcast, the Hollywood star reminisced on one of his earliest memories on set, and how he cleared the room after being forced to eat beans between multiple takes,' Angela continued, before the cameras cut to the interview.
'I can't believe I just said that,' she admitted.

While chatting on the New Heights podcast with NFL brothers Travis and Jason Kelce on June 2, the Oscar-winning actor shared a grossly funny anecdote about the perils of method acting.
'We're shooting in this little, tiny café. It's full of the crew, so there's about 60 people in there,' he shared, setting the scene.
'It's hot. You can't breathe, and my character hadn't eaten for days, and he gets this big plate of beans and bacon.'
In the interest of playing the character truthfully, Brad downed a big plate of beans.
'I was like, "Yeah, I'm going to do this right,"' he said.
'I just powered down this plate of beans. Take two, do the same thing. Take three, I do the same thing. Take four, I do the same thing.'
'There was nothing I could do. I was stuck in this chair, and nature took its course,' he admitted.
The Moneyball star believed he was in the clear, but ended up clearing the set out instead.
'I went, "Oh, great. I got away with that one,"' he recalled.
'Suddenly, the most diabolical something-something descended on the crew in the whole room,' Brad laughed.
'And they [fled] the café.'
'Ever since then, I pace myself,' the actor joked.
After airing the segment, Angela wrapped the news up with: 'Pitt would be no stranger to a director calling cut on set, but not usually for cutting the cheese.'
The reporter visibly cringed as she delivered the one-liner, which was written by one of her team members.
News and entertainment producer Steven Christie delighted in writing the jokes for his unwitting boss to deliver on-air.
'Writing fart puns might have been the highlight of my day,' the producer wrote as he shared the clip to his Stories.
Angela has met and interviewed Pitt numerous times throughout her storied career as the Entertainment Editor for Studio 10.
In 2022, she infamously contracted Covid-19 after travelling to Los Angeles for a sit-down interview with Brad and his Aussie co-star in Babylon, Margot Robbie.
Angela was forced to sit out the film premiere festivities and conduct her interview on Zoom instead.
She left Pitt 'perplexed' with a line of questioning to Margot about soap opera Neighbours, with the US star confessing he had absolutely no idea what the pair were talking about.
