Techie says Hyderabad lacks ‘buzz' but still outshines Bengaluru, Pune and Gurgaon: ‘No one shames you for…'
A techie who recently completed two years in Hyderabad took to LinkedIn to reflect on what sets the city apart from India's other major hubs, such as Bengaluru, Pune, and Gurgaon. In his post, the software developer highlighted what he thinks the city lacks but also mentioned what it offers. The post prompted many to nod their heads in agreement.
Siddhant Gupta started his post by saying that Hyderabad doesn't have the 'cool breezy weather of Bangalore,' 'scenic treks like in Pune,' or 'neon-lit nightlife of Gurgaon.' He then listed several other points about what he thinks the city offers.
One of the points he referred to is the language row, which is often observed in other cities like Bengaluru. Gupta claimed that in Hyderabad, people don't shame others for not knowing the local language and treat everyone with the same kind of respect.
'Hyderabad may not have the 'buzz' of other metros. But it has heart. And sometimes, that's all that really matters,' he continued. He further humorously referred to the famous dish from the city - Hyderabadi Biryani.
An individual commented, 'Yep, I enjoy the place. If you can get up early enough to go out to run in the early mornings, Hyderabad is awesome with peaceful roads.' Another joined, 'I have been here for more than 3 years now and reading this feels like exactly reading out my brain. The people here (very, very sensible) are the best part. Hyderabad is Hyderabad because of the people here.'
A third remarked, 'I had a similar experience 2 years in Hyderabad… There could not have been a better place for my first job. Amazing memories being there.' A fourth wrote, 'Wonderful post. This perfectly encapsulates the emotions of every outsider who chanced upon Hyderabad and made it their home.'

He mentioned that many Americans have fewer than three close friends and said that AI could help fill that gap. These AI companions are now being added to platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and even smart glasses. But Hoffman strongly feels that this approach can confuse people about what friendship really means. He said that some AI tools, like the Pi chatbot from Inflection AI, do a better job because they clearly tell users they are just companions and not friends. Basically, while AI can be useful and supportive in some ways, it cannot replace a real friend. Human connection is still something only real people can believes tech companies should be clear and honest about what AI can and cannot do. 'We as a market should demand it, we as an industry, all MPAs, should standardise around it,' he said. 'And if there's confusion around this, I think we as government should say, 'Hey, look, if you're not stepping up to this, we should.''Even OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman agrees. He said in a Senate hearing that while adults might talk to AI for support, children should be protected from forming close personal bonds with it. When asked if he would want his own child to have an AI best friend, he said, 'I do not.'

Adani Ports taps its largest ever domestic bond: ₹5,000 crore 15-year NCD from LIC — all you need to know
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) on May 30 said it has successfully raised ₹ 5,000 crore through a 15-year Non-Convertible Debenture (NCD), fully subscribed by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). The debentures will be listed on the BSE, and is locked at 7.75 per cent coupon rate, backed by Adani Ports' 'AAA/Stable' domestic credit rating, the company informed the exchanges. Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director & CEO, Adani Ports noted that this 'isn't merely a financing exercise', but a proactively developed capital management plan for Adani Ports. "This plan is designed to support APSEZ with its long-term vision to become the world's largest integrated transport utility,' Gupta said. Debentures are long-term financial instruments that companies issue to raise more money from investors. 'The issue shows Adani Port's deep access to long-term capital from diversified sources at attractive pricing and significantly enhances APSEZ's debt maturity profile. It highlights APSEZ access to domestic markets for its longest tenure issuance till date, and one of the longest in Indian capital markets history,' the company release said. According to the statement, the Proceeds will fund a proposed buyback of Adani Port's US Dollar bonds, pending board approval on May 31, 2025. A full subscription would extend the average debt maturity significantly longer—from 4.8 years to 6.2 years. Adani Ports has set a target of handling 1 billion tonnes of cargo by FY30, more than twice the number in FY25. 'With consistently improving debt repayment timelines and the cost of capital, Adani Ports gains greater access to patient capital and higher liquidity, crucial for long-term planning and large-scale projects,' the statement said. APSEZ has seven strategically located ports and terminals on the west coast and eight on the East coast, representing 27 per cent of the country's total port volumes.
