Isle of Man TT: Friday's qualifying sessions set to get underway
Afternoon and evening qualifying sessions for competitors in the Isle of Man TT are set to go ahead. The use of the evening contingency comes after disruption on previous days, including the cancellation of Thursday laps due to low cloud.All roads around the course were closed by 12:30 BST for the daytime session, but the lower section is set to reopen between 16:30 until 18:00 ahead of the evening session from 18:30.Roads are set to be reopened by 21:30.

Organisers said the car park for visitors to the TT grandstand at St George's Football Club remained closed due to the recent wet weather.However parking for motorcycles and blue badge holders at Noble's Park had been reopened, they added.People intending to travel to the grandstand for the qualifying session were previously urged to use public transport when possible.

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestants Molly Rainford and Tyler West have reportedly 'signed up' for Celebrity Race Across the World. Singer and actress Molly, 24, and radio presenter Tyler, 29, both appeared on the BBC dance competition in 2022 – and announced news of their relationship a year later. Following her stint on the show, Britain's Got Talent finalist and famous footballer's daughter Molly went on to secure the role of Anna Knight in EastEnders. Former CBBC presenter Tyler, meanwhile, currently presents a slot on weekday afternoons for Kiss FM. The couple confirmed their relationship in March 2023, and moved in together a year later. According to sources, Molly and Tyler are about to return to reality TV -racing against five other celebrity duos in an upcoming series of the hit BBC travel competition. The Sun reported news of Molly and Tyler's casting this weekend, with a source saying: 'Molly and Tyler are a huge coup for the show.' 'They're popular with millions of viewers from their stints on Strictly, and Molly will bring in loads of EastEnders fans too. 'They are a very adventurous pair and have brilliant chemistry, so bosses are confident they will become huge fan favourites.' The tabloid also reports that the series has already finished filming, meaning that we shouldn't have to wait too long for the next celebrity edition of the show. As per the regular version of the competition – still airing now on BBC One and iPlayer – Celebrity Race Across the World sees five duos travel across a series of pre-determined checkpoints with limited funds and a ban on airline travel. Chelsea to give Liam Delap major dilemma with £30million striker at risk of being in middle of club vs country row
LIAM DELAP'S first major test at Chelsea won't be on the pitch – it'll be navigating a club versus country row. Chelsea are closing in on the £30million striker having already agreed personal terms. 3 3 3 And they want him available for the Fifa Club World Cup this summer. But that tournament clashes with England's plans to include him in their squad for the Uefa Under-21 European Championship, which kicks off on June 12. Delap scored 12 goals and provided two assists for relegated Ipswich last season and his performances look to have secured a move to the capital. But he's about to get mixed up in some of the unwanted politics of the Beautiful Game. Delap reportedly had offers from Manchester United, Everton, and Chelsea. But journalist Ben Jacobs is reporting that that Thomas Tuchel convinced him a Champions League platform would boost his chances of making England's 2026 World Cup squad. Chelsea, fresh off winning the Europa Conference League, have wasted no time splashing the cash on Delap. United were believed to be front-runners to land the England Under-21 star. But a disastrous end to their season – in contrast to Chelsea's strong finish – is understood to have tipped the balance. Delap was also coached by Enzo Maresca during his time at Manchester City's academy, while Joe Shields – now at Chelsea – played a key role in bringing him from Derby to City back in 2019. SunSport understands all these factors played a key role in convincing one of England's brightest young talents to join Chelsea. But, as with every top club, Delap will need to get used to being at the heart of club vs country tug-of-wars whenever international and domestic duties overlap. Chelsea have had Nicolas Jackson leading the line over the last two seasons but he has failed to fully convince fans he is the man to take them forward.
