Same seat, same miracle: Thailand star finds eerie link with Air India plane crash survivor, ‘I was in 11A, too'
Thai singer Ruangsak James Loychusak, now 47, was a survivor of the 1998 Thai Airways plane crash that killed 101 people. He has recalled surviving and revealed an uncanny coincidence. He was in seat 11A, the same seat as the only survivor of the recent Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad.
Ruangsak was on flight TG261, which crashed into a swamp while landing in Surat Thani. Only 45 people survived. He said he got goosebumps when he saw the seat number of Vishwaskumar Ramesh, the lone survivor of the Air India crash.

Ruangsak shared that the crash left deep trauma. For 10 years, he feared flying, avoided people and got anxious seeing clouds.
'I avoided speaking to anyone and always stared outside the window, blocking anyone from closing it to maintain my sense of safety. If I saw dark clouds or a rainstorm outside, I would feel terrible, like I was in hell,' the MailOnline quoted him as saying. 'I can still remember the sounds, smells, and even the taste of the water in the swamp the plane crashed into. For a long time, I would keep the feelings to myself,' he added.
Though he doesn't have his old boarding pass, newspaper reports confirmed his seat number. He offered condolences to all who lost loved ones in the recent tragedy and said surviving gave him a 'second life'.
The singer's Facebook friends commented on his post.
'I clearly remember the day I went to visit you at the hospital. I was standing in front of the glass room and saw you with tubes all over your body, looking like you were asleep or unconscious. After visiting you, I had to rush to catch my next flight to Surat Thani immediately. I was really scared at that moment,' wrote one friend.
'A YouTuber once said that number 11 is an alien code,' wrote another.
One user wrote, 'There must be something hidden behind this for sure.'
Another user found the coincidence 'unbelievable'.

Sumeet Sabharwal, captain of Air India flight 171 enroute to London's Gatwick airport which crashed in Ahmedabad shortly after take off on June 12 and killed 241 on board, has been hailed as 'hero' by locals as he reportedly diverted the ill-fated aircraft at the last second to prevent any apartment block, saving many lives, The Sun reported. All 18 families residing in the three-story building beneath the flight path are certain that Captain Sumeet Sabharwal saved their lives. His Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which was heading straight toward their homes, got diverted as skillful handling of the emergency averted the disaster at that place. 'The building was shaking. We were so scared. There was chaos in the street and fire and smoke. Any closer and we would have died. The pilot saved us. We have always worried this might happen because the planes go over so low," The Sun quoted Geeta Patni, 48, one of the closest residents to the crash site, as saying. Jahanvi Rajput, 28, said, "Thanks to the pilot Captain Sabharwal, we survived. He's a hero. It is because of him we are alive. The green space next to us was visible to him and that's where he went.' 'If the plane had crashed into this residential area, there would have been hundreds more victims," Mum-of-two Chancal Bai, 50, stated. The plane carrying 242 passengers saw one British survivor. It crashed into the BJ medical college, further taking lives of 29, including 5 MBBS students. It had turned into fireball of devastation. Captain Sumeet, 54, was the son of an officer from India's civil aviation authority. He was a seasoned pilot with 8,200 hours of flight experience and also the primary caregiver for his father, now in his 80s, whom he called just prior to the takeoff. According to colleagues, who paid tribute to Captain Sumeet from Mumbai, 'He was a good, quiet person.' He had recently showed his desire to take a step back from aviation to care for his ailing father Pushkaraj, an India Today report said. 'Sumit had spoken to him just three days ago, saying he wanted to leave flying and come home to care for him. His father couldn't say a word. His eyes were filled with tears,' the report quoted family friend Lande as saying.

Days after Air India's Boeing 787 Dreamliner headed to London crashed minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, a video of authorities removing the aircraft's wreckage is doing the rounds on the Internet. The aircraft, which was carrying 242 people, including passengers and crew, to Britain's Gatwick airport, began losing altitude just seconds after take-off on June 12, before crashing and erupting into a fireball, marking the world's deadliest aviation disaster in over a decade. Shared by an X handle @Turbinetraveler, the viral video shows the crane lifting the aft fuselage section (rear part) of the Air India plane and removing it from the building. The aircraft plunged with a vertical speed of 475 feet per minute, its tail crashing into the first floor of the B J Medical College hostel's mess, killing four medical students and the wife of a doctor, and leaving 20 students injured. In a miraculous turn of events, one passenger survived, 40-year-old British Indian national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who had been seated in 11A. An officer said that Air Traffic Control (ATC) records, reviewed by the Gujarat Police, indicate the aircraft may have taxied at least 300 metres farther than usual on the runway. 'It took off at 1.38 pm and just after a minute, around 1.39-1.40 pm, the pilot sent out a 'No thrust… May Day…May Day' message, following which communication was lost and a crash was heard,' the officer said. On Saturday, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu informed that investigators would examine all circulating theories surrounding the crash. He further emphasised that aircraft are highly complex machines and determining the exact cause, or combination of causes, requires a thorough and meticulous investigation. The video of the deadly crash, which is all over social media, was shot by a Class 12 student Aryan Asari.
