Colson, who grew up on the cobbles after joining in 2011, was told his character would die during the soap's recent cull.
Revealing his next steps, Colson said he's swapping TV for radio as he joins BBC Radio Leeds as a presenter this summer.

Earlier this year, Big Brother caused a huge buzz when it movie star Mickey Rourke made a controversial entrance, and exit, on the celeb version. The series was eventually won by Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd, and kick-started the whirlwind romance of fellow housemates Chris Hughes and Jojo Siwa. Kevin said: "Celebrity Big Brother we're looking at. We're thinking NOT on the main channel, that's the answer. "It's so difficult now to book big celebrities, famous people, which is what we need on the main channel. "Whereas you can go more interesting and niche on ITV2." He added: "We're in a battle with Endemol about the price." But he also sounded a note of confidence insisting it was a ratings winner and he personally loved the show. Kevin said: "It does really well for us on ITVX. It's a really important, crucial show. I love it and it does a tremendous job for us so, yes, it's coming back." He also responded to Channel 4 boss Ian Katz saying that their rivals - like ITV - weren't taking risks and were instead "falling back on old ideas" for their programming. Netflix to start recommending movies based on Zodiac sign
Netflix have announced that they are launching an 'astrology hub' where users will get films and series recommended to them based on their Zodiac sign. The 'Your Zodiac Watchlist' feature will launch on the platform this Saturday. The collection will be updated throughout the year to keep pace with the Zodiac calendar. Star sign enthusiasts can see what Netflix think they should be watching. Pic: Shutterstock The company stated: 'At Netflix, our team of curators on the member experience team create these themed collections to help members discover something fresh, fun and timely.' Some examples include Wednesday and The Night Agent being recommended towards Scorpios, who are said to be 'passionate, charismatic, seductive and mysterious'. Meanwhile, Geminis are assumed to be social, playful and funny' and will be pitched stand-up specials and shows with 'talkative characters'. Then content about royalty and leaders like The Crown and Bridgerton will get urged towards the 'confident, generous and loyal' Leos. Some other Zodiac signs won't be as pleased with what they are recommended. Aquarius' are apparently considered to be 'oddballs, quirky, outsiders' and will be pitched the likes of Rebel Moon and other content about aliens, sci-fi and space. Netflix will not be asking users for their birthdays and each user will have the option to use the hub no matter what their star sign is. Another said: 'It's crazy how something as stupid as astrology is so f***ing mainstream.' A third commented: 'We've gone too far. Is it too late to go back?' While another added: 'It's mad that in 2025 people still believe in stuff like this.' Others were a little bit more optimistic, with one person saying: 'Probably the one time I'll give astrology a try. Let's see what Netflix has for a Virgo like me.' One other user tentatively wrote: 'Such a random thing but honestly… alright I guess lol.' Netflix isn't new to the topical and quirky collections, with mainly the US site getting more trendy for younger generations.
