Israeli energy firm Oil Refineries Ltd. (ORL) reported that its oil pipelines and transport infrastructure in Haifa sustained damage from Iranian missile strikes, marking a direct escalation targeting the country's critical energy assets.
In a formal disclosure to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, the company stated that no casualties were reported, and that core refining operations remain active, despite the temporary shutdown of several processing units.
"We have initiated a comprehensive technical damage assessment to evaluate the impact on operations and analyze the potential financial implications for our upcoming quarterly results," ORL said in its statement.

The incident follows an aggressive response by Israel, which reportedly struck a major gas facility in the Persian Gulf, deepening the direct confrontation between the two regional powers. President Sisi meets Chairman of AOI Board of Directors, praises its significant role
CAIRO – 16 June 2025: Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif. Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President was briefed on the activities and projects undertaken by factories and companies affiliated with the Arab Organization for Industrialization across various fields. Major General Abdel Latif noted that the AOI operates according to a comprehensive strategy aimed at deepening local manufacturing, increasing export rates, and enhancing the industrial and technological capabilities of its factories. This is in addition to cooperating with the private sector to establish joint projects, leveraging the AOI's advanced industrial capabilities. President Sisi affirmed the AOI's significant role in various sectors, particularly with regard to the improvement of local manufacturing ratios, the localization of industry, and the increase of exports, which contributes to reducing the import bill and providing foreign currency, thereby supporting the national economy. President Sisi was also updated on the existing frameworks of cooperation between the AOI and several major international companies operating in the automotive industry. The President inspected a number of "Citroën C4X" models, which are locally manufactured with a 45% component ratio in the factories of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, in partnership with the Arab American Vehicles Company (AAV) and the French "Stellantis" Group. AOI Chairman, Major General Abdel Latif, said planning for the production of this model began in August 2023, adding that technical and logistical preparations were undertaken, leading to the production of initial prototypes in March 2025. He noted that approximately 7,000 cars are scheduled for annual production over four years, totaling 28,000 vehicles. Furthermore, preparations are underway for the production of a new car in cooperation with the "Stellantis" Group, with production set to begin in late 2026. This new model will see a total of 240,000 cars manufactured exclusively in AOI factories, and will not be manufactured in any of the Group's other global facilities. President Sisi gave directives to further strengthen cooperation with private sector companies, both locally and internationally. This is in alignment with the state's strategy aimed at localizing the automotive industry, increasing the percentage of local components, and maximizing exports of products manufactured in Egypt.

In blow to Israel's energy lifeline, Iranian missile strikes key Israeli refinery
Iran targeted Israel's Haifa oil refinery with a hypersonic missile in a precise strike as part of 'Operation True Promise III.' This action was a direct response to previous Israeli strikes against Iranian military commanders and nuclear sites. Key refinery Israeli media revealed Monday morning that the targeted Haifa refinery, operated within the Bazan chemicals complex, is Israel's largest, processing approximately 10 million tons of crude oil annually, equivalent to 200,000 barrels per day. It also supplies energy and petroleum products to Europe. Located in the eastern industrial zone of Haifa city in northern Israel, the Haifa refinery is one of the oldest and most vital facilities in Israel's energy sector. Managed by the Bazan Group, it forms part of the petrochemical complex in Haifa Bay and plays a pivotal role in refining crude oil into advanced petroleum products. Israeli army kills, wounds dozens of Palestinians seeking food assistance in Gaza - War on Gaza
The Israeli army intensified attacks across the Gaza Strip early Monday, killing and injuring dozens of Palestinians, including children, in renewed assaults by land, air, and sea. Gaza's civil defence agency said that Israeli gunfire killed 20 people waiting for aid in the south of the Palestinian territory on Monday. Civil defence spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP that "20 martyrs and more than 200 wounded by occupation gunfire... were transferred to the Red Cross field hospital in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, then to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis". Since the launch of Israel's military offensive on 7 October 2023, over 55,362 Palestinians—the majority of them children and women—have been killed, and 128,741 others injured, according to the latest figures.
