Experienced Warriors trio ruled out for Dolphins match

The Warriors have been dealt a significant injury blow with captain James Fisher-Harris, hooker Wayde Egan, and half Chanel Harris-Tavita all now ruled out for the match against the Dolphins at Mount Smart on Friday. Fisher-Harris was out for two games with a calf injury, Harris-Tavita also had a calf issue which would keep him out for a week, and Egan is following concussion protocols after a head injury in last week's loss to the Gold Coast Titans. Coach Andrew Webster has been forced to substantially shuffle his cards as the Auckland-based side cling to fourth place on the NRL ladder after the shock loss on Saturday. Kurt Capewell will now lead the side, Sam Healey will make his third NRL appearance this season, Te Maire Martin moves off the bench to start in the halves, and Demitric Vaimauga replaces Fisher-Harris in the front row. Fisher-Harris, Egan and Harris-Tavita join an injury list which also includes Mitchell Barnett, Luke Metcalf, Rocco Berry and Ali Leiataua. Between them, the seven players account for more than 730 NRL appearances. ADVERTISEMENT The Warriors remain fourth on 30 points, just three ahead of fifth-placed and reigning NRL premiers Penrith. The Dolphins were eight on 24 points, coming off a bye following a win over the Cowboys.
