The Scottish countryside 'hideaway' cottage retreat you can book for half price

One guest praised the accommodation as "stunning". A Scottish cottage getaway can currently be booked for half of the usual price. Previous guests have described the accommodation as "peaceful" and a "perfect little hidden hideaway". Cloncaird Castle offers luxury holiday cottages in Ayrshire. Situated around 12 miles out of Ayr, the estate sits within 140 acres of countryside and woodland and is home to eight self-catering holiday cottages. At the moment, Wowcher is offering a stay at Cloncaird Castle for as little as £159 plus a £7.99 admin fee. All of the cottages on the estate come with fully fitted kitchens, dining and sitting areas, televisions, and underfloor heating. Some also feature open log fires. The lodges are beautiful and the grounds quite exceptional. "It is such a peaceful place to spend a few nights and with so much to see and do in Ayrshire it really is worth a visit." A slightly less positive four-star review reads: "The first night there were a lot of moths and midges due to being near a lovely stream so I'd suggest to keep windows and doors shut which we did and the second night there wasn't any. Would recommend staying here." Another five-star writeup states: "Stayed in The Ayrshire Loft cottage. Grounds are stunning, location is dog friendly and very peaceful. "Private woodlands walks next to River Girvan. Perfect little hidden hideaway." If a stay at Cloncaird Castle does not appeal, there other accommodation options nearby in Ayr to choose from.
