EXCLUSIVE Terrifying never-seen-before footage shows father 'attempt honor killing' outside an American school
Teens in hoodies, jeans, and backpacks crowd along the road at the bus stop at 2.13pm, waiting to finally go home for the weekend.
Suddenly, just as the bus arrives, three figures burst into view of the bus security cameras, grabbing, wrestling and throwing punches at each other.
But this isn't some schoolyard brawl between boisterous teenagers - one of them is a grown man whom prosecutors allege is trying to murder his daughter.
Terrifying footage obtained by the Daily Mail from the bus cameras shows the dramatic alleged crime, and the heroic response of the girl's classmates, for the first time.
Ihsan Ali, 44, was allegedly attempting to carry out an 'honor killing' on the girl, aged 17, 'for refusing an arranged marriage with an older man in another county'.
His wife, Zahraa Subhi Mohsin Ali, 40, allegedly tried to finish the job after the girl's 16-year-old boyfriend, other teens, and bystanders fought him off.
The couple are behind bars after pleading not guilty to second-degree attempted murder and attempted kidnapping, and their trial starts tomorrow.
The girl, who can't be named, ran away from home in Lacey, Washington, after her parents tried to put her on a plane to Iraq, and allegedly threatened her with an honor killing days earlier.
School officials arranged for her to stay at a women's shelter, but didn't provide her with transport so she and her boyfriend went outside to catch the bus.
That's when Ihsan spotted them and demanded she come home, telling her 'Heron' in Arabic, which meant, 'It's not right, you're not supposed to be doing this'.
He flew into a rage and attacked the couple, the melee spilling through the crowd and into view of the bus as the girl was slung to the ground.
Ihsan then punched the boyfriend square in the face, sending him staggering back out of the frame and falling down hard on nearby concrete.
With the teen boy out of the way, he went after his daughter, grabbing her by the throat as she tried to flee.
The girl's boyfriend jumped to his feet and along with two others boys charged at Ihsan and tried to pull him away, knocking both to the ground.
The boys began punching, kicking, and stomping Ihsan as he put his daughter in a chokehold and refused to let go despite the flurry of blows.
Eventually, Ihsan went limp, knocked out cold from repeated blows to the head, and the teens were able to help the girl to her feet.
The camera also caught Josh Wagner stop his black Dodge Ram in the middle of the road, get out, and hustle over to the brawl.
Wagner held Ihsan on the ground after he regained consciousness until police arrived and hauled the violent father away in handcuffs.
By now, a crowd had formed around the unconscious Ihsan and the girl, making it harder to see what was going on.
The girl's eldest sister Haneen Ali 21, could be seen confronting the boyfriend and sticking a phone in his face before they scuffled and he was dragged away by a classmate.
Seconds later it appeared Zahraa had started her attack as the girl seemed to be back on the ground where witnesses alleged she also tried to kill her.
'Once [the girl] and her mom were on the ground, her mom put her arm around her neck and started choking her,' police wrote in their report.
They were eventually separated and the girl was able to get to her feet.
The footage showed the girl and her boyfriend run behind a tree pursued by Haneen and her mother where there was another altercation.
The couple then fled inside the school, pursued by Zahraa, and were able to hide inside until police arrived.
The brave boyfriend suffered a 'boxer's fracture' to his finger as he tried to get Ishan off his girlfriend, and bruises and scratches on his head and face.
He wasn't diagnosed with a concussion but had symptoms such as sensitivity to light and headaches when he tried to watch TV or play video games.
His mother told police it 'took him several days to talk about the incident without crying'.
The girl earlier told police in a three-hour interview on October 24 that she ran away because she was terrified of being taken to Iraq where she would be married off, abused, and forced to have children - never to return home.
She explained that after her boyfriend was knocked to the floor with his eyes closed, Ihsan grabbed her in a viscous attack.
'[The girl] said her dad yanked her down and put her in a headlock. She said he was "choking" her "really hard" and she remembered grabbing his arm but then passed out,' police wrote.
From there, her memory of Ihsan's attack ended, and she only knew what happened by watching the video of her boyfriend and classmates heroically saving her life.
The girl also detailed her father's alleged threats to kill her for dating an American boy, and refusing an arranged marriage.
'If I could kill you, I would kill you, but I can't do that. I can't do that because there's cops and CPS people involved right now because of you,' she claimed he said.
'And I can't touch you because you will immediately go to the school.'
The girl told police Ihsan another time told her he wanted to 'hurt her so badly but there are cops here' but also told her how he would 'kill her no matter what happens' and he 'did not care if anyone saw him'.
Police bodycam footage obtained by the Daily Mail showed officers arriving at the school and arresting Ihsan, who demanded to speak to his daughter.
'Just let me tell her to come home - not like that. If I tell her to go home, she will go home,' he insisted, but police ignored him.
Officers then had to deal with Zahraa and Haneen, who were hysterical and only left after Zahraa was allowed to speak to Ihsan.
Police did not realize Zahraa also allegedly tried to kill her daughter until four days later, leaving her free to continue looking for her daughter, who was in hiding.
Zahraa drove her youngest children, two boys aged five and three, into Canada and dropped them off with an Ihsan's brother and mother, who lived there.
She then returned to Washington before trying to cross into Canada a second time with a 'notable quantity of baggage' on the night of October 22, but was arrested by customs officers.
The girl spent four days in St Peter Hospital for treatment after a strangulation exam, having complained of neck, throat, and jaw pain, and had difficulty swallowing.
Hospital staff listed her injuries as including redness and abrasions to her face, head, shoulders, neck, scalp, and under her chin.
She also had suffered burst blood vessels in her eyes and an eyelid droop.
'She believes she lost consciousness three to four times during the incident,' court documents alleged, adding that at one point she woke up with dirt pressed into her face.

College football star arrested days before start of the season as embarrassed coach admits: 'We're thankful nobody was hurt'
Clemson tight end Ian Schieffelin was arrested over the weekend on a suspicion of driving under the influence, days before the start of the Tigers ' season. Details of Schieffelin's arrest were not immediately available, nor how long he will be removed from competition. Schieffelin is in his first season on the Tiger football team after using his final year of collegiate eligibility to try his hand at the gridiron after four seasons with Clemson's men's basketball team. Schieffelin switched teams, playing for Clemson on the hardwood as recently as this year's NCAA Tournament. Now, his new head coach, Dabo Swinney, has released a statement on the arrest. 'We are aware of Ian Schieffelin's arrest on suspicion of DUI,' Swinney said. 'Clemson Athletics has a clear policy by which we will abide, so Ian will miss some competition to start this season as a consequence.' 'We're obviously very disappointed by the situation, but we are very thankful no others were involved and no one was hurt.' Swinney first made his interest in adding Schieffelin to the football roster last fall, with a spot opening up on this year's roster. Originally, Schieffelin entered the transfer portal, to find another school for his fifth year for basketball alone. He then had a change of heart and accepted Swinney's offer. Swinney wanted Schieffelin on his roster due to a lack of depth at tight end, leaving a void for however long he will be out of action. The Tigers now only have three tight ends with a collegiate catch on their roster. It is unclear the last time Schieffelin played organized football, as he focused on basketball in high school and college. Even with Schieffelin's absence, Clemson is expected to be a national-title contender and win the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Scorned lover who ignited county's worst wildfire in HISTORY to hide the body of woman he murdered is jailed
A jealous lover has been jailed for life after a fire he lit to cover up a woman's murder grew to a massive wildfire that killed two more people. Victor Serriteno, 33, pleaded guilty to three counts of murder and arson charges and must stay behind bars at least 73 years. He met Priscilla Castro, 22, online and she came to visit him in Vacaville, California, on August 16, 2020, and was last seen at 5.49pm in her car. The next time anyone saw her was on September 2 in Putah Creek Wildlife Area, ground zero for one of the worst wildfires in the region's history. Castro's body was burned beyond recognition, but her angel pendant survived and led to her body being identified and Serriteno arrested. Serriteno never explained how and why he killed Castro, but admitted to setting fire to her body on August 18 to destroy the evidence. The fire spread and became the Markley Fire, which merged with other wildfires in the LNU Lightning Complex and claimed six lives and destroyed 1,500 buildings. Douglas Mai, 82, and Leon 'James' Bone, 64, were found dead in their homes in Solano County, unable to escape the blaze traced back to Serriteno's arson. An eight-month investigation pinned their deaths on him, and he was slapped with two more murder charges and two counts of arson. Serriteno's sentencing in Solano County Superior Court followed emotional testimony from Castro's family, Mai and Bone's loved ones, and residents who barely escaped the fire and lost everything. 'She wanted to own her own hair salon, own a family business and maybe even get married and settle down one day,' Castro's mother Lisa Phelps told the court. 'I know without a doubt where she is. She is in heaven in the presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Do you know where you are going?' 'You will have time now, to get right with the Lord. The fire you set was blazing but it's nothing compared to hell.' Castro's close friend Emelina Corona said Serriteno 'tore a hole through every single person who knew and loved her'. 'Your prison time will never equal the pain you caused. But she will live on - long after you are forgotten,' she said. Mai's neighbor Jeff Shamrock added: 'There is no place in civil society for a cold, calculated killer. And that's what he is.' Castro's body was burned beyond recognition, but her angel pendant survived and led to her body being identified and Serriteno arrested Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams said Serriteno 'almost got away with it' when he burned Castro's body to cover up his crime. 'This was one of the most catastrophic fires in the history of Solano County. Lives of those impacted have been changed forever,' she said. 'We cannot undo these vicious, brutal, and senseless acts by Serriteno, but the one saving grace with this plea and sentence is that it provides some sense of closure for all of the victims and their loved ones. 'This defendant will be locked up for the remainder of his life to keep him from harming anyone else.' The LNU Lightning Complex was one of the largest wildfires in the state's history, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. The other fires were sparked after nearly 11,000 lightning strikes hit the northern part of the state as it endured a historic heatwave. Collectively, the fire complex scorched over 363,000 acres across California's famed wine country and burned down almost 1,500 structures after forcing the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents. The massive inferno tore through the area north of San Francisco for two months and killed six people.

Mom, 35, whacks teen girl with a Stanley Cup at school gates as victim says 'I thought I was going to die'
A New York teenager has said she was left traumatized after allegedly being hit over the head with a metal Stanley Cup by another girl's mom at her school. Madison Evans, 14, said she is now 'shaking all the time' after the attack left her with 17 stitches - and admits she may never use the brand again because of the distress. 'I can't even look at those cups anymore. Every time I see one, it just brings it all back,' she told the New York Post. The teen said the incident unfolded around 11am Tuesday as she was leaving Brentwood High School in Long Island and was approached by two girls who had issues with her cousin, but who she has never met before. She said the girls began bullying her because of her association with her cousin, and footage from outside the school showed the girls arguing back-and-forth. As one of the girls was held back by a security guard, Toni Monroe, 35, the mother of one of the girls, entered the spat. Monroe was heard telling her daughter to 'give me your Stanley', taking the large metal cup from her hands and confronting Madison with it. The footage allegedly showed Monroe bashing the 14-year-old over the head with the cup multiple times as her daughter also joined in. New York teenager Madison Evans, 14, says she has been left traumatized after allegedly being hit over the head with a metal Stanley cup by another girl's mom at her school The incident unfolded around 11am Tuesday as the teen was leaving Brentwood High School in Long Island, with footage showing two teens confronting Madison before Toni Monroe, 35, the mother of one of the girls, entered the spat Witnesses told the Post that Monroe then tried to run away after allegedly attacking the teen, but was stopped by a security guard. Monroe was arrested by the police in the parking lot and charged with assault. She was released without bail but was ordered to be fitted with an ankle monitor and barred from contacting Madison. Madison said the attack left her with blood streaming down her face, and said she was so shaken from the incident she 'thought (she) was going to die.' The teen said she initially thought Monroe was another girl at the school, admitting she was 'shocked' to find out it was allegedly a mother at the school. 'I thought it was another student, but then when I looked at her, she had a tattoo,' she continued. 'Then I just kept trying to defend myself.' Shameakca Forney, Madison's guardian, said the video was hard to believe as she condemned Monroe's alleged attack. 'If you're going to let the kids fight, then let the kids fight — kids will be kids, we've all done it growing up — but you don't jump in and fight kids,' Forney said. Monroe claimed in court that she was at the school to complain about her own daughter being bullied. But Madison's family told the Post that there was no excuse for the adult to have allegedly attacked the teen. 'As a mom you're supposed to diffuse the situation and take your daughter away to see what's going on instead of attacking a kid with a cup,' said Madison's cousin, Tyleen Smith. Brentwood schools Superintendent Wanda Ortiz-Rivera said in a statement after the footage circulated across social media that the incident was 'unacceptable.' 'The safety and well-being of our students is always our highest priority,' she said. 'This type of behavior will not be tolerated in our schools.'
