Video shows Conor McGregor jeered as his Black Forge team are hammered 5-1

The star met his match on Friday evening
Video has emerged of Conor McGregor being mocked by onlookers as his attempts to crack the world of pub football ended up on his arse.
The former UFC fighter has never shied away from a challenge but as the above video shows he was out of his depth last Friday evening when his Blackforge FC were shown up by an impressive Ballyfermot-based Roc Celtic.
The Notorious rolled out all the stops to grab an advantage, even hiring a scantily-clad bunch of cheerleaders to work the sideline.
But his team were well beaten in the AUL Challenge Cup Final and were left licking their wounds over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Lerone Murphy to ‘let it all go' against Aaron Pico at UFC 319 to convince Dana White & Co. to give him title shot

The Brit has had just three weeks to prepare for the biggest fight of his career 'TITLE WORTHY' Lerone Murphy to 'let it all go' against Aaron Pico at UFC 319 to convince Dana White & Co. to give him title shot LERONE MURPHY admits he'll have to be the "BEST" he's ever been against Aaron Pico to convince Dana White and Co. that he deserves a shot at the featherweight title. The Manchester 'Miracle' returns to the cage early on Sunday morning in the co-main event of a stacked UFC 319 card in Chicago. 8 Brit Lerone Murphy returns to the octagon this weekend Credit: GETTY 8 The Manchester mauler will be in action on a stacked UFC 319 card in Chicago Credit: Getty Advertisement 8 Murphy faces former Bellator star Aaron Pico in the co-main event of the evening Credit: GETTY 8 He hopes to punch his ticket to a title shot with a statement-making win Credit: GETTY Murphy will put his eight-fight win streak, unbeaten record and his No.6 ranking on the line when he welcomes the Bellator veteran to mixed martial arts' premier promotion. And he knows he needs to make a statement against the former super-prospect to make himself the undeniable next contender for Alexander Volkanovski's 145lbs strap. Advertisement In an exclusive interview with SunSport, he said: "It's a massive spot, UFC 319. "You've got Khamzat Chimaev in the main event against Dricus Du Plessis, which is a big fight as well. The whole main card is stacked, the whole card is stacked! "I'm looking forward to performing on that. And now, I have to let it all go, be myself and show everybody that I'm title worthy." Advertisement Pico was initially set to face the undefeated Movsar Evloev in a No.1 contender's match before the Russian was forced to withdraw from their showdown. And Murphy reckons it only makes sense for him to be Volkanovski's next assignment if he gets the job done in style this weekend. "And if I'm the replacement and I go out and beat Aaron Pico, it only makes sense. Advertisement "I'll be 17-0 and will have overlapped Movsar because he didn't take the fight when he could have taken the fight. So all fingers point in the direction of the champion from there." Brit Lerone Murphy eyes UFC title shot with win over Josh Emmett Even if he doesn't get his hand raised after a viral stoppage, Murphy believes matchmakers should reward his near-perfect octagon run with the chance to become the UK's fourth-ever UFC champion. "If you don't win the fight [by finish], it shouldn't mean you don't get a title shot," he said. "There have been plenty of guys who have done that. "The Max Holloways [of the world], they didn't always finish fights. "Volkanovski didn't always finish fights. It's only once they became champions that they started to finish fights. Advertisement "I'm not a casual, I like to watch pure MMA. So if somebody is good, is going to look good and is entertaining to watch, then why can't they be champion?" Murphy may believe he's in the ideal spot to stake a claim for a title shot, but the risk-to-reward ratio for his short-notice Chi-Town clash with Pico is incredibly high. A maiden defeat will see the Manchester Top Team standout go back to the drawing board and start his pursuit of UFC gold all over again. A sensational stoppage or a one-sided display, meanwhile, will prompt the often vocal minority of fans to claim he "fraud checked" long-hyped prospect Pico. But Murphy could care little about the outside noise, unless it's fans clamouring for him to get a crack at 145lbs gold. Advertisement He said: "The casuals are always going to find something to say, regardless of anything. "I could go out there and KO Volkanovski in ten seconds, and they're going to say, 'He's past his prime.' I have to let it all go, be myself and show everybody that I'm a title worthy." So I don't watch anything like that." Advertisement He added: "People are always going to create narratives that they're going to follow. "I never look at that, I just follow in my journey and do my thing." California clubber Pico was once one of the hottest prospects in MMA before vicious back-to-back knockout losses to Henry Corrales and Adam Borics derailed his hype train. The 28-year-old former Junior Golden Gloves champion has done a brilliant job rebuilding himself, losing just one of his last ten fights. "I think I'm fighting the best Aaron Pico there has been," Murphy said of his latest challenge. "Obviously, in the early days, that was him transitioning into MMA from wrestling and boxing. Advertisement 8 Lerone Murphy knows he needs to put on a showing to convince Dana White and Co. to give him a title shot Credit: GETTY "So he was still putting it together. "Right now, he's got the experience, and I'm fighting the best Aaron Pico." He added: "It's going to be a full MMA match. I've got to be dangerous everywhere and be aware everywhere. Obviously, he can wrestle and he can box. "I'm going to be looking for submissions, I'm going to be looking to time him on the way in. Advertisement "There is plenty of opportunity which comes with his style and plenty of dangers, obviously. "So I've got to the best version of me."

Find out the latest on the shock fight talks JAKE TO SAY Anthony Joshua would KO Jake Paul with ease but that doesn't make fight dangerous for YouTube star, claims David Haye DAVID HAYE has revealed the bizarre reason why Jake Paul fighting Anthony Joshua isn't the disaster waiting to happen that boxing fans fear. YouTube prankster-turned-prizefighter Paul and two-time heavyweight champion AJ are in talks for a controversial bout next year. 4 Jake Paul looks is in talks to fight Anthony Joshua Credit: Getty 4 Joshua has been backed to win by KO with ease Credit: Getty Advertisement That is despite the massive size, skill and experience disparity between the pair. Joshua, 35, brutally knocked out ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou, 38, in two rounds of their crossover clash in Riyadh in March 2024. A year earlier, Paul, 28, suffered his first and so far only loss in the ring against Tommy Fury, 26, via split-decision. He has since improved to 12-1 and earned himself a 14th ranked place in the WBA's cruiserweight rankings after beating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Advertisement READ MORE IN BOXING A FUR THING Itauma 'more impressive than Joshua and Fury' and must become world champion But moving up to heavyweight to fight AJ - who stands 6ft 6in and 18 STONE - is seen as a dangerous suicide mission amongst almost all fans. But, former cruiserweight and heavyweight champ Haye reckons it will be painless for Paul and over before he even knows it. The HighBet ambassador told SunSport: "I don't think it's dangerous at all! "You don't really get any damage when you get knocked spark out. It doesn't give you brain damage. "He just knocked him out, he just turned his lights out once, that was it. Well put him down once, put him down again. Itauma told 'anything other than becoming world champion is a failure' with Brit 'more impressive than Joshua and Fury' "He had maybe a headache the next day, but there was no damage done, so I think it's actually quite a safe fight because it'll be over very, very fast." Advertisement Paul did fight at heavyweight last November when Mike Tyson came out of retirement at the age of 58 - losing over eight shorter two-minute rounds. The American bulked up to 227lb (16st 2lb) and admitted to struggling to even RUN due to the weight gain. He moved back down to the 200lb cruiserweight limit of 14st 4lb in June when he beat ex-middleweight champ Chavez Jr, 39, over ten rounds. That is FOUR STONE lighter than Joshua - who is yet to return since his KO loss to Daniel Dubois last September. Talks with his promoter Eddie Hearn and Paul's promotional partner Nakisa Bidarian have continued - including a one-hour meeting in person. Advertisement Hearn has even labelled the negotiations "advanced" and believes Paul is now the frontrunner for AJ's next opponent. The fight is likely to fall in 2026 with America, Britain and Saudi all potential hosts.
