
You can eat COTE Miami's Michelin-starred Korean food inside of a snazzy new Cadillac
You've heard of dinner and a show—but how about dinner in a showstopper?
For two nights only this June, Miami's Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse COTE is teaming up with Cadillac for one of the summer's most exclusive dining experiences. As part of the brand's 'Cadillac of Reservations' series, diners can score a seat inside the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ while enjoying a five-course tasting menu, without ever leaving the vehicle.
The promotion hits Miami June 20 and 21, offering just five reservations per night for parties of two. It's free to attend, but as with any red-hot restaurant collab, it's first come, first served and sure to disappear fast. Reservations drop on Resy the week of the event, with early access available to GM Rewards members starting June 19.
You'll step inside Cadillac's luxe new seven-seat electric SUV, the Escalade IQ, and settle into massaging seats with headrest speakers, dual wireless chargers, a 55-inch LED display and other bells and whistles that feel more sci-fi than steakhouse. After a quick walkthrough of the car's jaw-dropping features, dinner is served right to your seat.
The menu, courtesy of COTE's Korean-American fusion kitchen, includes 'meat tea' made from simmered USDA Prime short ribs, beef bulgogi gimbap, tartare topped with caviar, and a lavish butcher's bowl featuring filet mignon, 45-day dry-aged ribeye cap, Japanese A5 Wagyu and house-marinated galbi. The meal wraps with a nostalgic strawberry soft serve and 'crunch.'
The 'Cadillac of Reservations' series has already popped up at NYC's Coqodaq and L.A.'s La Dolce Vita, with San Francisco's State Bird Provisions next on the roster. But if you're lucky enough to lock down a seat in Miami, you'll get more than just dinner—you'll get the Cadillac treatment, in every sense of the word.

The chef lineup is stacked with Chicago stars, including Fabio Viviani (Siena Tavern, Bar Siena), Tony Priolo (Piccolo Sogno), Joe Frillman and Leigh Omilinsky (Daisies) and Steve Maak (Levy Restaurants). The night's theme: bold Italian flavors, dished out trackside with flair. Diners can expect signature race-day cocktails from Jose Cuervo (the official tequila of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race, naturally) and a "Cup Series" of wine pairings from legendary Italian winery Marchesi Antinori. There's even an emcee—culinary personality, Catherine De Orio—to steer the evening along. Tickets cost $250 per person, and proceeds benefit the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the state's hospitality workforce. This isn't Chicago Gourmet's only sports-forward event this year. Friday, July 25, brings a Duck Dog face-off at the Crosstown Classic, and Wednesday, August 20 features led by chefs from Virtue.

Ford slips down sales list as century-old nemesis makes fun of slump
America's biggest automaker is charging ahead. General Motors — the owner of Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, and Buick — says it has sold 62,000 EVs through May of this year. Chevy led the electric charge with its two crossover SUVs, the Equinox and the Blazer, selling 37,000 units by the end of May. The EV sales number is a stunning feat for the competition between America's most iconic carmakers: Chevy's sales were enough to beat Ford Corporation's entire EV lineup over the same period. GM namecalled Chevy's Ford-beating sales in its press release. Ford's three-pronged lineup of E-Transit commercial vans, F-150 Lightning pickups, and Mustang Mach-E crossovers sold 34,000 in the same month. That's an eight percent dip on a year ago. Ford blamed the drop on a redesigns of the Mach-E and Lightning. A spokesperson told the modest design changes resulted in temporary inventory shortages. Ford said EV sales will rebound as stock returns, adding, 'We expect to see a strong June sales month as stock hits dealer lots.' Chevy's sudden sales surge comes as the battery-powered industry goes through several major shifts. While Tesla still dominates the EV market, its grip is slipping. Legacy car brands like Chevy, Hyundai, Kia, and Toyota are launching a slate of new cars that often undercut Tesla's pricing. Customers are responding positively, with GM claiming that May was its second-best EV sales month ever. Le Mans win won't be easy but Button 'optimistic'
Jenson Button believes it is not going to be easy for his Cadillac Hertz Team Jota to get on the podium at Le Mans this weekend but feels "optimistic" about the former Formula 1 world champion finished ninth at last year's event for the British Jota historic endurance race in north-west France begins on Saturday."[I feel] pretty optimistic. When you look at the testing on the weekend you'd say that Toyota and Ferrari do have an advantage in terms of pace," Button told BBC Radio Somerset."But this race isn't entirely about pace, it's about teamwork, not making mistakes through the night, consistency. All those areas we're very strong."I'm really looking forward to the race. It's not going to be the easiest for us to get on the podium but it never is in a 24-hour race." This year's event will mark Button's fourth outing at Le Mans. He raced in 2018 for SMP Racing but retired due to engine issues. He returned in 2023 in the Hendrick Motorsport NASCAR entry and then last year raced for Jota for the first time in a Porsche-powered Jota have switched to Cadillac for 2025."Last year was the first year really where I had a chance of winning in the top category," Button said."I still feel a bit of a newbie when it comes to racing at Le Mans, which I love because there's so much excitement and adrenaline."The 45-year-old will drive alongside former Le Mans winners Sebastien Buemi and Earl Bamber in this year's Cadillac V-Series won the Le Mans race with Toyota in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. Bamber is also a former winner, having clinched the title with Porsche in 2015."I come here with a team that has a lot of experience racing here and winning here in their two categories," Button said. "Also my two team-mates are very experienced so it helps me a lot get to grips with the car and the weekend."
