Is Tatcha's new Dewy Milk Moisturizer the glow game-changer it claims to be? We put it to the test

Daily Mail17-06-2025
As someone with combination skin — and persistent dryness around my eyebrows — I rely on a good morning moisturizer. And after testing dozens of formulas over the years, I've learned that many just don't live up to their claims.
Most feel too sticky on my skin, or don't actually have the hydrating quality I need. That's why I was so excited when Tatcha decided to launch their ever-famous Dewy Skin Cream in a lighter version — the Dewy Milk Moisturizer.
Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer
Tatcha's new lightweight moisturizer is the summer essential you didn't know you needed.
It gives your skin a light glow while keeping it moisturized all day long. Plus, it's great for all skin types — even sensitive skin.
Shop the latest release now before stocks sell out.
$64
Boasting the lavender packaging Tatcha is known for, this lightweight moisturizer is already my go-to summer favorite. It blends easily and gives my skin a dewy glow that lasts all day.
It has ingredients like Japanese purple rice, green tea extract, and zinc hyaluronate. Together, they're designed to deliver lasting hydration and improve your skin's elasticity.
After using this moisturizer every day for a week straight, I can safely attest that my skin feels softer and definitely less flakey.
Tatcha says the moisturizer is built for all skin types, but is particularly great for combination skin types (like me).
I only need to use a couple pumps in the morning to coat my whole face, and there's no residue once I'm done applying.
I then add a primer on top and then I'm good to apply my makeup — without worry that it will cake or stick to any dry skin.
It doesn't really have a scent, so it won't irritate those with a sensitive nose. The formula also never irritated my skin, and the best part? It gave me a glow without making me look 'shiny' or 'oily.'
The Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer is now available for $64, but this new launch is set to sell out fast, so make sure you get your order in soon, and give your skin the hydration it needs.

Olivia Attwood's go-to reduced Korean moisturiser 'takes skincare to another level'

The former Love Island star Olivia Attwood has shared her must-have K-Beauty skincare product Olivia Attwood Dack has been appearing on our screens more regularly this summer. The reality favourite has filled in to host occasional This Morning episodes whilst usual presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd enjoy some time away. Her appearances have gone down a treat, with audiences singing her praises for her hosting skills. With her summer diary absolutely crammed, the former Love Island contestant has been giving followers peeks into her everyday schedule via social media. She shares her early morning fitness sessions, beauty regimens, and glimpses behind the cameras of her TV projects. Olivia's latest Instagram Reel offers a quick peek at her morning beauty routine, showing how she applies eye cream, serum and moisturiser. The face cream especially grabbed fans' interest, sparking plenty of questions – and we've tracked it down on Amazon, where it's currently on offer. Recording herself in the loo, Olivia spreads AESTURA's ATOBarrier365 Cream over her face, neck and décolleté, stressing the need to "include your chest – you've got to do your chest", reports OK!, reports the Mirror. Usually costing £28.99 for a generous 80ml tube, AESTURA ATOBarrier365 is now slashed to £25.99 on Amazon. As the top dermatologist-recommended dermo-cosmetic K-beauty brand for sensitive skin, and used in 100 per cent of Korean hospitals, AESTURA has established a reputation for its gentle yet potent formulations. This includes ATOBarrier365, which boasts encapsulated ceramides for enhanced absorption compared to many other ceramide creams, and pledges 120 hours of hydration. If you're searching for a mild, moisturising cream suitable for blemish-prone skin, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M receives widespread endorsement from countless skin specialists, and is presently reduced from £20.90 to £16.72. Another La Roche-Posay item that has secured a place in Olivia Attwood's everyday skincare regime is Anthelios UVAir Daily Fluid SPF50+, currently slashed to £20 at Boots, which customers are hailing as "the best" and "lasts all day". Regarding the AESTURA ATOBarrier365, Amazon shoppers are equally thrilled, with one stating it "transformed" their skin. It boasts a 4.5 rating and has been bought over 1,000 times in the last month. One happy customer said: "I've been using the AESTURA ATOBarrier 365 Cream for a few weeks now, and it has truly transformed my skincare routine. "As someone with dry and sensitive skin, finding the right moisturiser has always been a challenge, but this cream has exceeded my expectations. "The 100-hour hydrating claim is no joke. My skin stays hydrated and comfortable throughout the day and night, even in dry, air-conditioned environments." Nevertheless, one customer cautioned that they "wouldn't recommend to people with acne prone combination skin". They said: "It makes my skin too oily. Winter might be a better option to use this product but I'm just not going to use it for the sake of my skin." But another review titled 'Believe the hype' reads: "Even though I'm lucky to have naturally good skin, this cream has taken my skincare routine to another level. The hydration is next-level - rich without being greasy, and it absorbs beautifully. Beauty deal of the week Get multiple benefits for the skin by taking advantage of this 53 percent discount on the unique L'Oreal Paris serum. In one chamber, there is a collagen Peptide Booster to rebuild firmness and smooth out wrinkles, while the other boasts powerhouse vitamins B3 and C to reignite radiance and even out skin tone. Said to be suitable for all skin types, even sensitive, this serum has been lauded for its "non greasy" texture that doesn't leave any residue on the skin or cause that dreaded 'pilling' when combined with other skincare products. Boasting a 4.3 rating in total, one review read: "A second satisfied customer said: "This serum is a game-changer! It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, smoother, and visibly radiant. A luxurious treat that's worth every drop." Don't miss Amazon's 53 percent discount on the Age Defying Serum Le Duo (30ml) that is now £17.95, down from £37.99. "What really impressed me, though, is how calming and soothing it is. My skin feels balanced, soft, and genuinely healthier after using it. It's now my go-to for maintaining that dewy, plump glow without clogging or irritating. A little goes a long way, and it layers well under make-up too. "I always break out from all kinds of moisturising creams that claim they don't cause acne or clog pores and I've been using this one for weeks and not a single break out on my face," a third five-star review reads. "This has helped me achieve the desired 'glass skin' appearance. I love the glow I get from using it." Nab the the AESTURA ATOBarrier365 on Amazon now. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Hong Kong's annual Food Expo returns on August 14 for food and drinks galore

It's that time of the year again – Hong Kong's expansive Food Expo is making its return to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, offering visitors five exciting days of delicious exploring through a huge variety of vendors and their edible wares. For the uninitiated, this highly anticipated annual event is packed with international and local flavours and flair, with plenty of opportunities to sample small bites as you get your steps in, find new favourite food products, and shop for snacks to bring home. Here's what you need to know about the Food Expo, when it's taking place, and how to get tickets. When and where will the Food Expo take place? Now in its 35th year, the annual Food Expo returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wan Chai from August 14 to 18. More than 700 exhibitors are set to take over the venue, making for a thrilling mix of global gourmet experiences. If you've got more on your mind than just food, the 35th Food Expo is happening at the HKCEC at the same time as the Hong Kong International Tea Fair (August 14 to 16), Beauty & Wellness Expo (August 14 to 18), and Home Delights Expo (August 14 to 18), so you can discover a wealth of lifestyle products and global tea culture on the same day! What to expect at the Food Expo It goes without saying that food and beverage will be the main focus of the event, and one of the key highlights of the 35th Food Expo is the Gourmet Zone, where seven themed areas will feature themes such as draft beverages, desserts, and fine dining. From the immensely popular and globally loved Dubai chocolate to Chinese sake, specialty coffee, beef noodles, gelato, and nut butters, there's plenty to chow down on as you hop from stall to stall. Meigetsudo, a long-standing Taiwanese confectionary shop specialising in authentic Japanese-style wagashi sweets, is a must-visit exhibitor. 10 acclaimed chefs will lead cooking demonstrations, showcasing the use of premium ingredients in their dishes. Among the culinary experts set to take the stage are OOAK Lamma's Stefanie Leung, Deli Labo's Nancy Fung, Dong Lai Shun's Sze Chiu-kwan, Fook Lam Moon's Chan Chun-hung, and The Royal Garden Le Soleil's Do Thi Thuy Linh. Over 30 brands will be showcasing their goods in the Premium Food section, including familiar names such as Lee Kum Kee, Kee Wah, Choya, Maxim's, Wing Wah, and Nissin, as well as Häagen-Dazs, Original Taste Workshop, On Kee, and many more. Visitors can also swing by the Mezzanine Pub, a collaborative pop-up launched by local craft soda brand Mezzanine Makers to spotlight Hong Kong beverage brands, including Kowloon Spirits (our city's first local whisky brand), N.I.P. Gin (an award-winning craft gin distillery), and Magnolia Lab, which creates liquor inspired by TCM and Western mixology. Not to be missed is the China National Agricultural Pavilion, a diverse zone presenting a wide range of regional agricultural products and food spanning 13 Chinese provinces, such as Anhui, Hainan, Xinjiang, Shandong, and Guangdong, to name a few. Is there anything else to check out apart from food? As the Food Expo is happening concurrently with other fairs at HKCEC, each day will revolve around a different theme with exclusive activities and experiences. Shall We Tea? (August 14) focuses on dim sum demonstrations, tea therapy workshops, and tea-related talks. Flavours of Intangible Cultural Heritage (August 15) highlights the craftsmanship of Hakka sau fan, bamboo steamers and arts, and traditional flower plaques, alongside tai chi and wing chun performances. Asian cuisine and experiences take centre stage at Asian Delights (August 16) and Body, Mind & Soul (August 17) is all about healthy living and medical trends – there will even be a Smart Health Station available to offer senior visitors a free health test. Finally, Taste of HK (August 18) will put the spotlight on local produce and ingredients, encouraging home-cooking and farm-to-table dining. Exhibition-goers can also take advantage of exclusive promotions priced at $35 at this year's Food Expo, curated specially for the event's special anniversary. Additionally, head to Hall 3 to join a treasure hunt game to win gifts. The Food Expo is also hosting a daily luck draw, offering prizes worth more than $1 million – here's your chance to snag gourmet foods, kitchenware, furniture, beauty products, and health items! All you need to do for a chance to win is make a single transaction of $300 or more at the Food Expo. How to get tickets to the Food Expo Combo tickets and single tickets will be available for purchase from outlets and platforms such as AlipayHK, Alipay, the 01 Space e-ticketing platform, 7-Eleven and Circle K convenience stores around town, the Octopus mobile app, and The Club mobile app. Pre-sale combo tickets cost $36 until August 13, rising to $40 from August 14 onwards for walk-ins – this allows access to the Food Expo Public Hall, Gourmet Zone, Home Delights Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo, and the Hong Kong International Tea Fair on the same day. Meanwhile, single tickets cost $30 and will grant entry to all of the above, except for the Gourmet Zone, but there's a $10 top-up option available on-site at the Hall 3B entrance should you decide last-minute that you want to pay it a visit. In celebration of its 35th edition, the Food Expo is giving away free admission tickets each day before noon – 350 tickets are available for redemption at the Halls 3FG and 5FG entrances. If you miss out on these, make sure to secure your tickets through e-ticketing platforms, the above-mentioned mobile apps, or from 7-Elevens and Circle Ks around town, as there will be no physical tickets sales at the venue!
