Taking to Instagram, Jason revealed he had been dealing with Appendicitis.
According to the NHS, Appendicitis is " swelling and infection in your appendix (part of your bowel)" - and causes pain in the lower right side of the abdomen.
Jason captioned his post: "Appendix surgery all went well, now in recovery with my Vimto, they serve it in all Manchester hospitals.
"Bit of a scary & extremely painful 24 hours but thankful to our NHS & my incredible nurse mum who's a godsend in a health crisis!
"My advice would be to not get Appendicitis whilst driving at 70mph on the motorway!
"Seriously though, I'm gutted that I've had to move the dates this weekend, and I'm sorry for the late notice to so many people in St Albans, Oxford, Lincoln, Skegness & at Kendall Calling."
He added: "I thought I could get by on antibiotics and surgery at a later date so I could still do the shows, but was advised not to.
"Also means I can't fly out to Portugal on Monday to join my family on holiday! Ah well, such is life.
"Thanks for all the 'Get Well Soon' messages."
Jason Manford left furious after being forced to share hotel room

While a third chimed in: "Speedy recovery Jason, you'll be back on that padel court in no time."
The funnyman had been set to perform as part of his A Manford All Seasons tour in Hertfordshire on Wednesday.
Organisers confirmed that those who purchased tickets would be able to attend an upcoming show in October.
They took to his X account just hours before the show, writing: "We regret to inform you that tonight's performance of A Manford All Seasons at The Alban Arena has been unexpectedly cancelled due to Jason Manford being unwell and will now be rescheduled to Mon 20th Oct 2025.
"Thank you for understanding, we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
The post appeared to be shared by Jason's team rather than himself, which sparked further concern from fans, with one writing: "Get well soon but perhaps stop burning the candle at both ends."
A second commented: "Get well soon Jase, take it easy fella."
"Sorry to hear this Jason. Wish you better. I was really looking forward to it," a third said.

Peter Phillips announces engagement to girlfriend Harriet Sperling
The King's nephew Peter Phillips has announced his engagement to girlfriend Harriet Sperling. Peter and his partner were pictured in photographs released to mark the occasion with Ms Sperling showing off her engagement ring. The King, Queen and senior royals have been told the news but a date has yet to be officially set for the wedding. A statement released on the couple's behalf said: 'Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement. 'Both families were informed jointly of the announcement and were delighted with the wonderful news of their engagement. 'Their Majesties the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales have been informed of the announcement. No date has been officially set for the wedding.' Speculation about the relationship first began more than a year ago when they were spotted together at social events. More recently Peter and Harriet, an NHS nurse, were guests of Charles and Camilla on the first day of Royal Ascot in June. The couple were invited to take part in the traditional carriage procession the royal family make onto the famous Berkshire racecourse to signal the start of the day. Mr Phillips has two daughters, Savannah and Isla Phillips, from his first marriage to Autumn Phillips. They couple married at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle in 2008 and divorced more than 11 years later.

Why I Stuck a Flare Up My Arse for England review – when macho match-day exuberance goes viral
Football is coming home for Alex Hill's one-man play for a third and final season on the fringe and you can see why it has proved such a hit. The setting is the delayed Euro 2020 tournament, the one in which Gareth Southgate's England beat ancient rivals Germany, then Ukraine and Denmark before facing Italy at Wembley. For an obsessive fan such as Billy Kinley, someone who lives for football and its attendant culture of booze and thuggery, it is an excitement almost too great to bear. That is as close a reason as he can come up with for pulling down his shorts and shoving a flare between his bum cheeks on match day. It is an act of exuberance that turns him into a viral sensation. It also gives him cause to wonder how his life has reached such a place, especially now he has been abandoned by his childhood pal Adam and dumped by his previously tolerant girlfriend. If he knew the phrase toxic masculinity, he would have to use it; a once sweet-natured boy, he has traded his old stability for the camaraderie of the terraces and the excesses of drugs and violence. The flare is his way of belonging. Under the direction of Sean Turner, Hill plays Billy with gusto. In the working-class tradition of Steven Berkoff and John Godber, he gives a have-your-cake-and-eat-it performance that revels in macho exuberance even while it delivers a sobering message about communication breakdown. The details of that breakdown are slipped in teasingly. It feels like there is more to be said about Adam's fate and the degree to which Billy should be held accountable for failing to listen to his friend. It is a boisterous play about boisterousness, one that will keep knocking in the goals for audiences, even if it says more about the thrill of the hooligan lifestyle than the emotional inarticulacy behind it.
