Nanni Moretti Teaming With Louis Garrel, Jasmine Trinca on New Film
The feature, loosely based on the short story collection Hungry Heart (Lev Raev) by Israeli writer Eshkol Nevo, is set to begin shooting in Spain and Italy this fall. Moretti adapted Nevo's novel Three Floors Up as the 2021 film Three Floors.

Trinca made her feature debut in Moretti's The Son's Room in 2001, but this will be their first collaboration since The Caiman in 2006. The Italian actress has been splitting her time between features, including Léa Todorov's Maria Montessori and Ildikó Enyedi's The Story of My Wife (2021), and TV work, appearing in acclaimed Italian series La Storia and The Art of Joy (both 2024).

The French actor is coming off recent French blockbusters The Three Musketeers, parts 1 and 2, and Quentin Dupieux's 2024 Cannes festival opener The Second Act. The Italian auteur has been looking for a project to work on with Garrel for several years now. In 2023, the pair staged a series of viral Instagram skits to promote the Garrel-directed crime comedy The Innocent, which screened at Moretti's Nuovo Sacher cinema in Rome.
The film's cast includes Angela Finocchiaro, Elena Lietti, Antonio De Matteo, Andrea Lattanzi, Hippolyte Girardot, Pietro Ragusa, and Paolo Sassanelli. Moretti, who often appears in his own films, will have a cameo.
Moretti adapted Nevo's short story collection together with co-screenwriters Federica Pontremoli and Valia Santella, intertwining the book's separate stories about the various bonds — familial, political, social and romantic — that both restrict and liberate, into a single narrative. Sacher Film and Fandango are producing in collaboration with Rai Cinema.

Dave Edmunds Fighting For His Life After Wife Reveals He Died in Her Arms Before Being Given CPR
Rocker Dave Edmunds, 81, is fighting for his life in a U.K. hospital after experiencing 'major cardiac arrest' that left him with 'brain damage and severe memory loss,' according to the musician's heartbroken wife, Cici, per WalesOnline. The makeup artist shared the news on Facebook, telling fans that her 'beloved' spouse of 40 years — known for 1970s hits such as 'I Hear You Knocking' and 'Crawling From the Wreckage' — died in her arms at the couple's home in his native Wales before being revived by medical personnel. Cici explains that as Edmunds slipped away, she 'desperately' tried to keep him alive, 'while trying to clear his airways from all of the fluids that come out of a human being's body when we pass.' She also adds that a nurse was 'pumping away really hard performing heavy CPR' and even told her, 'Dave is gone. He is dead.' Yet Cici refused to give up — relaying that in the moment there was 'no time for emotions' as 'every second' was vital. She credits ICU doctors with performing a 'miracle' by 'resurrecting him for a moment,' but shares that he was 'very clearly' impaired and needed to be 'intubated.' The devoted gal says, 'My brilliant talented funny and special Dave could really use as many peoples prayers and good wishes so to speak.' Cici acknowledges, 'Dave will have a very long journey ahead of him if he survives. We both have,' adding that 'the risk of yet another major cardiac arrest is high. And if that occurs there is no chance for Dave.' She adds, 'I'm still in shock and I believe I have PTSD from the horrific experience.'
