Boe-Kjaer ease past Weijie-Sheng Hao to book main draw spot
KUALA LUMPUR: Thailand Open finalists William Kryger Boe-Christian Faust Kjaer from Denmark showed no signs of fatigue as they booked their spot in the main draw of the Malaysia Masters today (May 19).
World No. 50 Boe-Kjaer defeated Malaysia's world No. 72 Chia Weijie-Lwi Sheng Hao 21-9, 21-10 in 20 minutes in the qualifying round at the Axiata Arena.
Boe-Kjaer were defeated in the final of the Thailand Open by world No. 3 Aaron Chia-Soh Woi Yik 20-22, 21-17, 21-12 on Sunday (May 18).
They will play Malaysia's reigning Junior World Champions, Aaron Tai-Kang Khai Xing, in the first round of the main draw.
Aaron-Khai Xing defeated teammates Bryan Jeremy Goonting-Fazriq Razif in straight games 21-17, 21-17 to book the date with the Danes.

The pair also captured the Thailand Open last month and did not let their intensity drop, reaching the last four in the Malaysian Masters and the quarter-finals in the Singapore Open after that before their stunning run in Indonesia. "It wasn't easy but we stood our ground, held on to each other and gave it everything we had. We didn't win the title but we found something even more powerful - strength, belief and heart. National women's doubles head coach Rosman Razak has offered two reasons: tactical changes and great on court communication. Pearly-Thinaah won the Thailand Open, reached the Malaysia Masters semi-finals and Singapore Open quarter-finals. And on Sunday, they nearly toppled China's mighty Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning in the Indonesia Open final. They lost 23-25, 21-12, 21-19 in 87 minutes, but Pearly-Thinaah had the world No. 1 against the ropes, and could have delivered the knockout blow. The Jakarta result was significant for Pearly-Thinnah as it was their first Super 1000 final, in a World Tour major event.
