White House issues savage reply to Hunter Biden's foul-mouthed rant blasting Trump's mass deportations
The former first son slammed the government during a three-hour interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, also targeting Democrats who sat idly by and watched as Trump rounded up and deported immigrants who have called America home.
During their wide-ranging discussion, Biden pondered who would clean hotel rooms, wash dishes and do the gardening if it wasn't for migrants who 'figured out a way to get here' and were willing to work.
But the White House didn't hold back in its reply, pointing to a recent ruthless attack on a border agent and a savage reminder of Biden's past addiction struggles.
'A CBP agent was just shot in the face by two criminal illegal aliens that Joe Biden let into the country,' White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told Fox News.
'But Hunter is more concerned about who is going to clean up his hotel room after his benders.
'This sort of callous, self-interested maliciousness from the entire Biden Crime Family is exactly why Joe Biden left office with record-low approval ratings.'
One of Joe Biden's final acts as president was granting his son a full pardon for any crimes 'he has committed or may have committed ' dating back to 2014. At the time, he said his son was being 'selectively and unfairly prosecuted.'
Biden has also extensively acknowledged his drug fueled past, sharing a statement at the time which read: 'I have admitted and taken responsibility for my mistakes during the darkest days of my addiction – mistakes that have been exploited to publicly humiliate and shame me and my family for political sport.'
Back in 2021, audio emerged in which Biden expressed concerns that Russians had stolen a laptop containing sensitive information after he partied with them in Las Vegas and took drugs in a hotel room.
After Jackson's savage takedown, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also weighed in, asking: 'Is it really a surprise that Hunter Biden has no respect for Americans who are upset about the criminal illegal aliens let into our country by Joe Biden?
'Under Biden's reckless open-border policies, terrorists, gang members, murderers, and child pedophiles were released into American communities.
'These policies had real consequences. Young Americans, like Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, lost their lives because of illegal aliens who should have never been in this country.'
'President Trump and Secretary Noem will never abandon these victims or their families. DHS will continue to deliver on the mandate of the American people to make America safe again.'
Laken Riley was a 22-year-old nursing student who was murdered while jogging at the University of Georgia by Venezuelan illegal immigrant José Antonio Ibarra in February 2024.
He is currently serving a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole.
Twelve-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was sexually assaulted and murdered in July 2024. Two Venezuelan illegal migrants have been charged over her death.
Biden hosted Callaghan in his native Wilmington, Delaware, and talked at length about his struggles with crack cocaine addiction, the infamous laptop and his views on politics.
He was particularly critical of Democrats for not doing more to prevent Trump's mass deportation scheme.
'F*** you,' Biden said.
'How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you think you have food on your f***ing table? Who do you think washes your dishes? Who do you think does your f***ing garden?
'Who do you think is here by the f***ing sheer f***ing just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here because they thought that they could give themselves and their family a better chance.'
Biden expressed disgust that Trump has 'somehow convinced all of us that these people are the f***ing criminals?'
'White men in America are 45 more times likely to commit a f***ing violent crime than an immigrant,' he argued.
Biden then took swipes at David Axelrod, former President Barack Obama's longtime political strategist, who was one of the few Democrats to openly suggest his father, former President Joe Biden, bow out of a reelection fight last year.
The now 82-year-old Democrat did just that exactly one year ago Monday, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place.
She lost in the 2024 election to Trump, who swiftly started making good on his plans to deport thousands of immigrants in the US illegally.
During the interview, Biden also needled former Chicago mayor, White House chief of staff and House member Rahm Emanuel, who has already floated a 2028 Democratic run for the presidency.
'And the media says, well David Axelrod and Rahm f***ing Emanuel - so f***ing smart Rahm Emanuel - who say we've got to understand that these people are really mad and we've got to appeal to these white voters,' Biden continued.
'Rahm, the only people that f***ing appeal to those f***ing white voters was Joe Biden at 81-years-old and he got 81 million votes,' he said, referring to his father's 2020 win.
'And he did because, not because he appeased their f***ing Trumpian sense but because he challenged it,' Biden went on.
'And he said, you can be an 81-year-old Catholic from f***ing Scranton that doesn't understand it but still has empathy for transgender people and immigrants.'
Biden claimed that Democrats were running away from their values.
'I say, f*** you, how are we getting those people back from f***ing El Salvador?' he asked.
Since the beginning of the year, the Trump administration sent hundreds of migrants in the US illegally to El Salvador's mega-prison, CECOT.
'Because I'll tell you what, if I became president in two years from now or four years from now or three years from now, I would pick up the phone and call the f***ing president of El Salvador and say, ''you either f***ing send them back or I'm going to f***ing invade,'' Biden said.
'It's a f***ing crime what they're doing,' he complained.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked to respond to Hunter Biden's criticism during a Fox News appearance Monday afternoon.
'Clearly, they have learned nothing from President Trump's overwhelming victory on November 5,' Leavitt said.
'The American people want deportations. They want secure borders. That's why we have had the most successful six months of any administration.
'The president has delivered on his two core campaign promises, defeat inflation and secure the homeland, in record time.'

Stephen Colbert: ‘What you thought you knew is just history'
Late-night hosts dig into Donald Trump's firing of the Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner and an unnerving story about radioactive wasps. 'You know something? No, you don't,' said Stephen Colbert on Monday's Late Show. 'Because things cannot be known any more. What you thought you knew is just history.' Especially history, as the Smithsonian removed Trump from the impeachment exhibit in the American history museum. 'Oh, now you care about what's in the American history museum!' Colbert joked to loud boos from the crowd. 'Where was that enthusiasm when dad worked so hard to plan the family trip to DC?' The museum reportedly removed a label noting both of Trump's impeachments – for bribing Ukraine, and for his role in the January 6 riots – after pressure from a White House content review. 'That kind of pressure explains why the Smithsonian exhibit of the 1960s now says that the Vietnam war was started by Jimmy Kimmel,' Colbert joked. The exhibit now says that 'only three presidents have seriously faced removal', instead of four. 'Come on! If you're going to completely make up presidential history, make it fun,' said Colbert. A new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics also confirmed that Trump has overseen the worst period of US job growth since the pandemic. So naturally, Trump responded by firing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. 'No, you fool! Now there's one less job,' Colbert joked. 'But it makes sense – he fires anyone who gives him bad news.' 'Here's the problem with this: having people in the government who know stuff is pretty important,' Colbert added. 'If Trump starts fudging the job numbers it could backfire, by eroding the trust of investors, companies and organizations.' In other Trump news, the White House unveiled plans for a new $200m ballroom, with gold chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows. 'Presidents are allowed to do a little renovation, of course. The Obamas added a vegetable garden. Truman and Nixon both added bowling lanes, and Jimmy Carter famously added a sex dungeon,' Colbert joked. But Trump has already paved over the historic rose garden with concrete, to make room for more seating. 'It reminds me of the poem,' Colbert laughed. 'Roses are red. Concrete is white. This place looks like shit now.' And on Late Night, Seth Meyers reacted to a report that a radioactive wasp nest was found at a site in South Carolina that once made nuclear bomb material. The nest reportedly had nuclear contamination levels 10 times higher than what is allowed by regulations. 'I guess my bug spray is going to continue to not work,' Meyers joked. 'I have so many questions,' he continued. 'What do you mean 10 times higher than what's allowed? I wasn't aware there was a certain level of radiation that's allowed for wasps. Is there like a sweet spot level that is low enough not to kill us all but high enough that if a kid on a field trip gets bitten he might turn into a superhero?' 'If I've spent too much time on this wasp story, it's because the rest of the news is shit and I'm stalling,' he added, moving to the next worse story: a product recall of High Noon vodka sodas mislabeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz energy drinks. 'If you can't trust Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz, who can you trust?' Meyers quipped. 'Because, you know, I care about what I put in my body. So when I throw back a Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz, I want to know it has the stuff I care about. Like blue, and razz. Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz might be what made the wasps radioactive?' 'I think we should embrace this combo moving forward, because the two things I need living in these trying times are energy and to be a little bit drunk.' Meyers also touched on the news that Trump fired the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, after his report found that US jobs growth had basically ground to a halt. 'Trump doesn't know how to solve a problem. He only knows how to cover it up,' Meyers said. 'And that's the hallmark of a corrupt autocracy. When the numbers are bad, just fire the people in charge of the numbers. If you're caught up in a scandal, dangle a pardon to get out of it.' But 'the problem is it's backfiring', he concluded. 'These stories won't go away. That's why Trump always looks like a guy who's been stung by a thousand radioactive wasps.'

Trump again threatens 'very substantial' tariff hikes for India over Russian oil
WASHINGTON/NEW DELHI, Aug 5 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he would increase the tariff charged on imports from India from the current rate of 25% "very substantially" over the next 24 hours, in view of New Delhi's continued purchases of Russian oil. He also said a "zero tariff" offer for imports of U.S. goods into India was not good enough, alleging that India was "fuelling the war" in Ukraine. Trump's threat to India over its purchases of Russian oil started on July 31, when he announced a 25% tariff for Indian goods, along with an unspecified penalty. "They're fuelling the war machine, and if they're going to do that, then I'm not going to be happy," Trump told CNBC in an interview on Tuesday, adding that the main sticking point with India was that its tariffs were too high. "Now, I will say this, India went from the highest tariffs ever. They will give us zero tariffs, and they're going to let us go in. But that's not good enough, because of what they're doing with oil, not good." An Indian government source said that India's purchases of Russian oil have helped to stabilise global oil prices by easing the pressure on supplies from other regions. India, the world's third biggest oil importer and consumer, buys more than a third of the oil it needs from Russia. "If we stop buying Russian oil, who will replace those barrels to maintain balance (in the market) and at the same time prevent the prices from shooting up? We don't want a repeat of 2022 when prices shot up to $137 a barrel," the source said, referring to the oil market spike around the time when Moscow's invasion of Ukraine began. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the source was not authorised to speak to the media. Trump's latest comment followed a similar threat on Monday, which prompted India's Foreign Ministry to say the country was being unfairly singled out over its purchases of Russian oil. "It is revealing that the very nations criticising India are themselves indulging in trade with Russia (despite the Ukraine war)," it said in a statement issued late on Monday. "It is unjustified to single out India," it added. The EU conducted 67.5 billion euros ($78.0 billion) worth of trade with Russia in 2024, including record imports of liquefied natural gas that totalled 16.5 million metric tons, the Indian ministry said. The United States continues to import Russian uranium hexafluoride for use in its nuclear power industry, palladium, fertilisers and chemicals, it added, without giving a source for the export information. The U.S. embassy and the EU's delegation in New Delhi did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Both the United States and EU have reduced their trade ties with Russia since it launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. India imported about 1.75 million barrels per day of Russian oil from January to June this year, up 1% from a year ago, according to data provided to Reuters by trade sources. It has faced pressure from the West to distance itself from Russia over the Ukraine war. New Delhi has resisted, citing its longstanding ties with Moscow and economic needs. India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is likely to go ahead with a scheduled visit to Russia this week, two government sources said. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar is expected to visit in the coming weeks. The sudden rift between India and the U.S. has been deepening since July 31. Trump has said that from Friday he will impose new sanctions on Russia as well as on countries that buy its energy exports, unless Moscow takes steps to end the war with Ukraine. The trade tensions have caused concern about the potential impact on India's economy. The equity benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN closed down 0.38%, while the rupee dropped 0.17% versus the dollar.

Zelenskiy speaks with Trump ahead of Putin ceasefire deadline
KYIV, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday that he had had a "productive" conversation with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump on ending the war, sanctions on Russia and the finalisation of a U.S.-Ukraine drone deal. Trump, who has signalled frustration with Vladimir Putin in recent weeks, has given the Russian president until August 8 to make peace in Ukraine or face tougher sanctions. "President Trump is fully informed about Russian strikes on Kyiv and other cities and communities," Zelenskiy wrote on X, referring to intensifying drone and missile attacks. Trump has threatened to hit Russia with new sanctions and impose 100% tariffs on countries that buy its oil, but sources close to the Kremlin told Reuters, opens new tab that Putin was unlikely to bow to the ultimatum. Zelenskiy said Ukraine was also ready to conclude a deal with the U.S. on the purchase of Ukrainian drones that would amount to "one of the strongest agreements". He had earlier said the deal was worth around $30 billion. Ukraine is increasingly seeking financing and investment from its foreign partners to bolster its burgeoning domestic arms industry. Zelenskiy said Kyiv's European partners had so far pledged to buy more than $1 billion in U.S. weapons for Ukraine as part of a new scheme.
