Lake Monsters get 10-year backing for Centennial Field
BURLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – The Vermont Lake Monsters of Burlington announced a new partnership Thursday that will see the 119-year-old Centennial Field renamed to Delta Dental Diamond at Centennial Field starting with their 2025 season.
The Lake Monsters, who play as part of the 2025 Futures Collegiate Baseball League, are excited about the team's future. Senior VP C. J. Knudsen said, 'This amazing partnership with Delta Dental will allow baseball to remain in Vermont for all fans to enjoy for many more years.
'It will also allow us to maintain and continue to upgrade one of the oldest ballparks in the world, while providing next level fun for our fans. Delta Dental is a great partner and they really stepped up to the plate to support the community.'
In addition to renaming their field, the team plans to display a new Lake Monsters Delta Dental Diamond logo all around the ballpark.
The Vermont Lake Monsters are entering their 31st season. They have qualified for the Futures League playoffs each of the last four seasons. Their first game in the new stadium is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. May 31 against the Worcester Bravehearts.
Northeast Delta Dental covers more than half of patients across the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. They also sponsor the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Manchester, NH, an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball.

BURLINGTON, VT – The Vermont Lake Monsters will throw out the first pitch of their 31st season in a couple weeks, and will do it with a new financial committment. The addition of Delta Dental will help support the Lake Monsters for the next decade, to help with every day use as well as upkeep on the field itself.
