Hot and hotter for today and tomorrow
Heat warnings are in effect across most of Alberta as temperatures are set to soar through the day.
Afternoon highs in the 29 to 33 C range are expected for most areas in north-central and northern Alberta.

In Edmonton, we'll be up around 30 C this afternoon and a degree or two hotter Thursday.
Some thin cloud cover over the Edmonton area will move out this morning and we'll be under mainly sunny skies today and most of tomorrow.
Wind will be a bit of a factor, with afternoon gusts near 30 km/h today and gusts in the 40 km/h range Thursday.
A cold front pushes across the province later in the day Thursday, bringing some showers and thunderstorms to western Alberta in the afternoon.
Edmonton and area gets a good chance of showers and storms Thursday evening.
The potential exists for some severe storms in central and northern Alberta, so we'll probably swap out the heat warnings for severe thunderstorms watches and warnings.
