Who is Greg Monks? The ‘family man' who went missing in Portugal after stag do
The 38-year-old disappeared in the coastal city of Albufeira, in the southern Algarve region, last month during a stag party.
Portuguese police said on Wednesday the body of a 38-year-old man had been found in the search for a missing Scottish tourist.
The Policia Judiciaria said the body was located in the Cerro de Aguia area.
Authorities said a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Who is Greg Monks and how did he disappear?
Greg Monks lived in Glasgow.
He worked as a mechanic for Doncaster-based Cementation Skanska, according to The Sun.
He was in Portugal for a five-day stag-do with his friends.
Mr Monks told his friends he was heading back to his holiday apartment after drinking on a night out, according to The Sun.
Police said the 38-year-old's disappearance was reported to the Guarda Nacional Republicana on May 28 at around 8pm by a man who was on holiday with him.
His family and girlfriend flew out to assist in the search.
A body was discovered during the search for Mr Monks at the bottom of a ravine 'a long way from the spot where he was last seen' on Wednesday, according to Portuguese daily newspaper Correi da Manha.

After police discovered the body of a 38-year-old man, Mr Monk's sister, Jillian, posted a tribute on social media.
'Didn't think it would end like this,' she wrote.
'We are absolutely devastated! Greg was an amazing boy who everyone thought so highly of, Was friends with everyone and always made us laugh! We will miss him everyday!
'I just want to thank absolutely everyone for everything they done from sharing their posts to out looking, phoning everywhere to get CCTV.

The hunt for missing teen Pheobe Bishop was triggered by a frantic text from her sister to the last-known people to see her alive, Daily Mail Australia can reveal. Pheobe's housemates James Wood and Tanika Bromley have now been charged with the 17-year-old's murder and two counts each of interfering with her corpse. She vanished on May 15 after leaving the ramshackle home in Gin Gin, near Bundaberg in central Queensland, that she shared with Wood and Bromley. They told police they had given her an early morning lift to Bundaberg Airport to board a plane on a trip to see her boyfriend in Perth. But Pheobe never made it to check in, and her older sister Kaylea, 18, triggered the search when the family was alerted Pheobe had never arrived in Western Australia. In an text to Wood and Bromley on May 16, Kaylea demanded to know: 'Where is my sister?' Three weeks later detectives have accused the housemates of Pheobe's murder, and on Friday notified the family they had found human remains. Just hours earlier Kaylea had begged for help finding her sister's body in an impassioned plea outside Bundaberg Magistrates Court after Bromley and Wood's murder charges were heard. She sat in the far corner of the front row, staring straight ahead flanked by friends, family and a court security guard as details of the murder charges against the couple were read out. Neither Wood nor Bromley appeared in person or by video link for the hearing and afterwards Kaylea walked outside to make her heartbreaking statement. Cole Cooper: Police to revisit teenager's 'last sighting' locations
Police investigating the disappearance of teenager Cole Cooper are to revisit the locations where he was last seen before he went missing four weeks Cooper, 19, from the village of Banknock, near Falkirk, was reported missing on Friday 9 May. Police say they have a confirmed witness sighting of him at about 20:45 on Wednesday 7 May in the nearby village of Longcroft. Prior to that he had been captured on CCTV at several locations in Longcroft in the early hours of Sunday 4 May after he had left a party in Denny. Police have spoken to almost 400 residents through door-to door inquiries and more than 2,000 hours of CCTV have been say that since a dedicated online information portal was set up, numerous potential sightings, possible lines of inquiry, footage and images have been submitted directly to the investigation team. Timeline of Cole's disappearance 3 May: Cole is on a night out with friends in Denny4 May: He leaves a party in Denny just before 05:00 in the morning. He was seen on CCTV approaching the door of his father's house in Mayfield Road, Longcroft, at 05:49 before leaving four minutes was then captured on CCTV at various other locations in Longcroft.
