Jared Leto denies allegations of sexual misconduct from nine women
Jared Leto is facing allegations of sexual misconduct from several women, including some who were teens at the time.
The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman has been accused of inappropriate behaviour by nine women over a period of two decades.
These claims involve alleged victims who say they were teenagers when the incidents occurred.
According to an exposé published by Air Mail, the matter has 'been an open secret for a long time.'
Representatives for the 53-year-old House of Gucci star have denied all the accusations to the publication.
The claims against Leto resurfaced after a Los Angeles-based DJ, Allie Teilz, re-shared a post on Facebook from 2012 to her Instagram Story.
In it, the 30-year-old alleged she was assaulted by the star when she was 17.
She alleges that Leto 'knew' how old she was but 'didn't care'.
'You're not really in LA until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… in a kilt… And a snow hat,' she wrote.
'I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17.'
Teilz also described Leto's actions as 'predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.'
An unnamed alleged second victim also told Air Mail that she was 16 when Leto briefly spoke with her at Urth Caffé in LA.
Taking place in 2006, she alleges he got her phone number and called her days later. During the call, she says he sounded 'weird'.
'I don't know if he was on drugs or what… it was the weirdest, grossest voice… [but] for me, it's Jared, you know?'
Claiming they would speak on the phone late at night, she says their conversations became 'sexual', with Leto asking if she'd 'ever had a boyfriend' and questions such as, 'Have you ever sucked a d**k?'
A third accuser, Laura La Rue, 33, says she met Leto in 2008 at an animal rights event.
At the time, he was 36 and she was 16. She says Leto asked what her age was, to which she responded.
Despite knowing she was 16, she claims Leto still asked for her phone number, later inviting her over to his home in LA.
There, he allegedly 'flirted' with and 'teased' her the 'whole time'.
The model also claims that Leto was fully naked at one point and walked into the room as if it were 'normal'.
'I thought maybe this was just what adult men do.'
A fourth woman, also anonymous, has said Leto approached her at an 18+ club when she was 20, where his assistant asked for her number.
She said they 'hook[ed] up a little' at the nightclub and she visited his home several times afterwards.
Echoing the second victim's descriptions, she also said Leto was 'weird'.
'I know some people are kinky, and that's fine,' she reasoned, but said 'his kind of kink … just didn't feel right.'
Furthermore, a fifth alleged victim has said she and Leto exchanged flirtatious messages while she was underage.
She allegedly also visited his home, where he would ask her questions of a sexual nature, including, 'Do any of the little boys you hang out with f**k you?'
After she turned 18, their relationship was allegedly taken to another level.
At one point, Leto is said to have 'pulled his penis out and started masturbating'.
She says he put her hand on his penis and told her: 'I want you to spit on it.'
In the original Air Mail piece, it is claimed that Leto was 'known' for taking an interest in younger women.
One woman told the outlet: 'I remember being so physically ill to the point of throwing up when I passed billboards … for his films, and just wondering how everybody in LA knows.'
A rep for Leto said to Air Mail: 'Their (the women's) communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate and Ms. La Rue later applied to work as Mr. Leto's personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.'
La Rue denies ever applying to be Leto's PA.
The actor's publicist also defends that he 'has not had a drink or used drugs in over 35 years', following claims that he hosted parties at his mansion attended by approximately 60 'very young women to four or five men'.
It's claimed guests were encouraged to go skinny dipping at the events.
Leto, now an Academy Award and Golden Globe winner, first achieved recognition in 1994 for his role as Jordan Catalano in the teen drama television series My So-Called Life.
He went on to have supporting roles in Fight Club (1999), Girl, Interrupted (1999), and American Psycho (2000), before turning his focus to music. More Trending
Leto returned to acting with the 2002 thriller Panic Room and had subsequent roles in major blockbusters Suicide Squad (2016) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017).
Meanwhile, in 1998, he formed Thirty Seconds to Mars, a band that has gone on to sell 15million records worldwide.
Relationship-wise, Leto was married to actress Cameron Diaz from 1999 to 2003, followed by Russian model Valery Kaufman from 2015 to 2022.
Reps for Jared Leto have been contacted for comment.

Golden Tate lifts the lid on bitter on-field family feud with rival Jalen Ramsey over his pregnant sister
Former NFL star Golden Tate has opened up on his bitter on-field family feud with rival Jalen Ramsey, who previously dated the wide receiver's twin sister, Breanna Tate. When Ramsey posted a photo on social media with his new girlfriend, dancer Monica Giavanna, last October, Golden Tate responded to a fan's comment with 'he know he gonna have to see me.' Ramsey and Giavanna are now believed to have also split. And the personal animosity between the two players exploded after the October 2020 clash between the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams. The former Giants wide receiver and then-Rams cornerback exchanged blows near midfield and had to be separated by teammates and coaches. Tate and Ramsey walked toward each other as the game ended and both took swings before going down to the turf. TMZ also reported Ramsey also waited outside of the locker room after the game for Tate. 'Him and one of my twin sisters have two children together, they went to the same high school. They were together, I don't think my sister was done or treated the way she should have been treated,' Tate said on Bussin' with the Boys. Golden Tate explains his beef with Jalen Ramsey — Bussin' With The Boys (@BussinWTB) June 5, 2025 Former NFL star Golden Tate has opened up on his on-field family feud with rival Jalen Ramsey 'When that happens, who you gotta come see? You gotta come see big bro. We get to the game and I'm like, "I really don't know what's about to happen." But right away, he's like overly jamming me. And I'm like, "Okay, this is how we're going to do."' Ramsey now plays for the Miami Dolphins, while Tate has not taken an NFL snap since the 2020 season. On a previous episode of the FanDuel show, Ramsey has revealed the 'grimy' girlfriend trick he used while at Florida State - he would send direct messages to opposing players' girlfriends before big games. Ramsey would do his research for the underhanded and unique tactic, looking up offensive players' social-media profiles and finding photos with their significant others. Once the identity of a quarterback or wide receiver's girlfriend was evident, Ramsey got to typing. Then he would mention it on the field when helmet to helmet with the upset gridiron boyfriend. While Ramsey may no longer use social media for mental warfare, he is known as one of the NFL's biggest trash talkers, with his personal and professional lives colliding a few times on the gridiron. That led to the inventible fight with Tate and possibly more awkward encounters over the years off the field.

James Blunt shares 'real' meaning behind most famous song lyrics after 20 years
In 2004, singer James Blunt burst onto the scene with the release of his debut album Back To Bedlam, which spawned a string of hits and catapulted him to worldwide fame and stardom James Blunt has shared a humorous insight into the meaning of the lyrics of one of his most famous songs. The acclaimed singer, 51, is just as well known for his poetic lyrics as he is his quick-witted sense of humour. He burst onto the scene in 2004 with the release of his first single, High, off his smash hit debut album, Back To Bedlam. In 2005 though, he achieved fame across the globe with the song, You're Beautiful. This track was the third single from his debut album and, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of its release, the star shared a video to thank his fans. In the clip, which was posted to his official Facebook page, James Blunt can be seen walking towards a camera set up in his home. Once he gets close to the camera, he tells viewers: '20 years ago today, I put out a song that bought me this house. 'I mean, who would have thought a song about being high as a kite on drugs, stalking someone else's girlfriend, would resonate quite so much? You guys are beautiful.' In the comments section, fans were keen to share their thoughts and experiences with the song. One person said: 'My God you crack me up. I must say though, this song was playing on the radio when I held my son in my arms for the first time (it was my favourite song at the time, he's 20 soon) and all I could hear was 'you're beautiful'. 'He really was beautiful - my husband and I have laughed hard about the actual words and stalky-ness of the song since…' A third person said: 'Lol when you put it that way a druggy stalker. Love your humour'. Another person shared: 'I got married in 2005 and the number of people who suggested it should be our wedding song. I was equal parts annoyed and smug because I knew what the lyrics were about'. While a further fan added: 'lol! Never knew I needed this explanation but apparently I did. Downloading the song now dude; buy yourself something sweet for the house'. The worldwide hit does indeed tell the story of a man who spots a woman on a train and, in his intoxicated state, believes he shares a connection with her despite her being involved with another man. He believes he's entitled to her and thinks up a plan to get her in his obsessive state. Still, the song's meaning didn't stop it resonating with millions of people who are keen on its haunting, emotive quality. Of his first song, Blunt took to Facebook in 2024 and quipped: 'The first single I ever released was 'High' in 2004. For the video, they buried me up to my neck in sand and threw cockroaches at me. 'They don't tell you that when you send the record label your demos.'

Irish woman ‘in fear' ahead of release of Christian Brueckner
Christian Bruckner, 48, is due to be freed from a German jail in September after completing his sentence for the rape of a 72-year-old US woman in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2005. Hazel Behan, 41, who has waived her right to anonymity, said she fears the German man will 'hunt her down'. Brueckner was acquitted by a German court in relation to the charge of violent rape of Ms Behan at her apartment in Praia da Rocha in Portugal's Algarve. She told The Sun: 'His sentence may be ending but mine never did. I have lived with fear every day for 21 years. 'Fear that I'll see him. Fear that he'll find out where I live and hunt me down. I also have fear that he'll do to someone else what he did to me. 'I've called him out in a public forum and I have genuine concern he could confront me. 'I wouldn't put anything past a person like him. 'If he is released, I will worry for every woman and child who, like me, believes the justice system is protecting them. 'A leopard doesn't change his spots.' Later this year Ms Behan expects to discover the outcome of her High Court appeal in Germany against his acquittal for raping her, another woman and a girl in Portugal in 2004. Ms Behan has accused the Portuguese authorities of alleged 'inaction' in identifying and prosecuting Brueckner. In April, she lodged an application to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against the Portuguese authorities over their handling of her attack. Ms Behan also expressed her sympathy and support for the Leicestershire-based family of Madeleine who went missing in Praia da Luz while on holiday with her family in 2007 when she was three years old. 'As a parent, I cannot begin to imagine what they have gone through and continue to go through every day for the past 18 years,' she said. German and Portuguese police and firefighters carried out a three-day search of an area near Praia da Luz last week in the latest efforts to find out what happened to the missing child.
