Golden Tate lifts the lid on bitter on-field family feud with rival Jalen Ramsey over his pregnant sister

Daily Mail4 hours ago

Former NFL star Golden Tate has opened up on his bitter on-field family feud with rival Jalen Ramsey, who previously dated the wide receiver's twin sister, Breanna Tate.
When Ramsey posted a photo on social media with his new girlfriend, dancer Monica Giavanna, last October, Golden Tate responded to a fan's comment with 'he know he gonna have to see me.' Ramsey and Giavanna are now believed to have also split.
And the personal animosity between the two players exploded after the October 2020 clash between the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams.
The former Giants wide receiver and then-Rams cornerback exchanged blows near midfield and had to be separated by teammates and coaches.
Tate and Ramsey walked toward each other as the game ended and both took swings before going down to the turf. TMZ also reported Ramsey also waited outside of the locker room after the game for Tate.
'Him and one of my twin sisters have two children together, they went to the same high school. They were together, I don't think my sister was done or treated the way she should have been treated,' Tate said on Bussin' with the Boys.

'When that happens, who you gotta come see? You gotta come see big bro. We get to the game and I'm like, "I really don't know what's about to happen." But right away, he's like overly jamming me. And I'm like, "Okay, this is how we're going to do."'
Ramsey now plays for the Miami Dolphins, while Tate has not taken an NFL snap since the 2020 season.
On a previous episode of the FanDuel show, Ramsey has revealed the 'grimy' girlfriend trick he used while at Florida State - he would send direct messages to opposing players' girlfriends before big games.
Ramsey would do his research for the underhanded and unique tactic, looking up offensive players' social-media profiles and finding photos with their significant others.
Once the identity of a quarterback or wide receiver's girlfriend was evident, Ramsey got to typing. Then he would mention it on the field when helmet to helmet with the upset gridiron boyfriend.
While Ramsey may no longer use social media for mental warfare, he is known as one of the NFL's biggest trash talkers, with his personal and professional lives colliding a few times on the gridiron.
That led to the inventible fight with Tate and possibly more awkward encounters over the years off the field.

Astros DFA former first-round pick Forrest Whitley

June 8 - Right-hander Forrest Whitley, once a top-10 prospect in baseball, was designated for assignment by the Houston Astros on Sunday. The Astros selected him with the No. 17 pick of the 2016 MLB Draft out of high school in San Antonio and gave him a $3.148 million signing bonus, but he failed to reached expectations. Now 27, he didn't debut in Houston until the 2024 season and made three relief appearances, giving up no earned runs in 3 1/3 innings. This season, Whitley appeared in five games for Houston, with opponents scoring 10 earned runs on nine hits and six walks in 7 1/3 innings. He has no decisions with an ERA of 12.27. In the minor leagues, he has 117 appearances (65 starts) and a 17-20 record with a 4.75 ERA over 306 2/3 innings. He struck out 421 batters and walked 160. In a corresponding move, the Astros recalled left-hander Brandon Walter from Triple-A Sugar Land. Walter, 28, made one start for the Astros this season, giving up three hits, walking one and striking out five in five innings against the Tampa Bay Rays on May 20. He didn't figure into the decision of the 3-2 Houston loss. --Field Level Media

Report: Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey will not attend minicamp

June 8 - Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey does not plan to attend the team's mandatory minicamp this week while the club continues to seek a trade, NFL Network reported on Sunday. Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said prior to the 2025 NFL Draft that Ramsey didn't request a trade, but they came to the joint realization that a potential move makes sense following several conversations about his contract. Ramsey, 30, signed a three-year contract extension in September 2024 and then started all 17 games for Miami. Grier didn't select a cornerback until the 150th pick in April's draft -- Florida's Jason Marshall Jr. Ramsey is guaranteed $25.1 million in 2025, but a new team would owe him $21.1 million since the Dolphins already have paid his $4 million roster bonus. Ramsey came to Miami in March 2023 in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams for a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long. Ramsey missed the first seven games that season with a knee injury, but he still made the Pro Bowl for the seventh time. --Field Level Media

Jake Paul calls on UFC to make stunning ‘winner-takes-all' MMA fight between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou

JAKE PAUL has challenged the UFC to accept a "winner-takes-all" fight between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou. Jones is currently the UFC heavyweight champion but appears uninterested in facing No1 contender Tom Aspinall. 3 Ngannou walked out on the UFC in 2022 to sign with rivals the Professional Fighters League and pursue boxing. But Jones, 36, posted: "I'm hearing Francis Ngannou is still interested… now we're talking. That's a real super fight. "A clash of champions, not just hype. He held the UFC belt, I've defended mine for over a decade. Two kings from different roads. "Not just one legend facing a mouth that's hot right now, but two real legacies colliding. "That's the kind of fight that actually adds something special to my story. At least from my point of view." Ngannou, 38, responded: "You take care of the UFC, I'll take care of the PFL, and we'll finally find out who's the KING OF THE HEAVYWEIGHT." PFL founder Donn Davis said: "PROPOSAL … WINNER TAKE ALL MMA best heavyweight of all time. @francis_ngannou vs @JonnyBones "Francis Wins … @PFLMMA and Francis split 100% of the event profits Jon Wins … @UFC and Jon split 100% of the event profits." YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - signed to the PFL - chimed in: "The perfect final dance for the two greatest MMA heavyweights of all time. "Jon Jones wants it. Francis Ngannou wants it. Big fight for the sport. Big fight for the fans and Big business. Who doesn't want it?" Jake Paul reveals 'hefty' six-man hit-list of opponents for next fight including Anthony Joshua and world champ Ngannou left the UFC as champion to box Tyson Fury, 36, in 2023 even scoring a knockdown before losing a controversial split-decision. He was then knocked out by Anthony Joshua, 35, in 2024 and returned to MMA the same year to beat PFL's Renan Ferreira, 35. Jones meanwhile is yet to fight since beating UFC legend Stipe Miocic, 42, last November. But UFC boss Dana White talked down the chance of working with Ngannou again despite the allure of a super-fight with Jones. White said: 'It's Aspinall's fight. I mean, we've been talking to this kid about it forever and it's his fight. 'Listen, you can't make people fight, if Jon doesn't want to fight, you can't make him fight. "We can try to make him fight, we can throw things at him that inspire him to want to fight, but we'll figure it out. "I don't have Ngannou under contract and Aspinall is the guy!' 3
