Pacers beat Knicks to move one win shy of reaching NBA finals
TYRESE HALIBURTON DELIVERED his second career playoff triple double to power Indiana over New York 130-121 on Tuesday, lifting the Pacers one win from the NBA Finals.
Haliburton scored 32 points, passed off 15 assists and grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds while making no turnovers over 38 minutes becoming the first player in NBA playoff history with 30-15-10 and no turnovers.
Indiana, who blew a 20-point lead in a game-three home loss, seized a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference finals with the home triumph.
'I was just trying to be aggressive, trying to respond,' Haliburton said.
'I felt like I let the team down in game three so it was important to come out here and just make plays. Guys put me in position to make plays and play my game and man, it's a big win for us.'

Game five is set for Thursday in New York's Madison Square Garden.
'I'm excited about it. It's going to be a lot of fun,' Haliburton said.
'It's a tough environment to play in. We've got to be ready. Just one more game, take what we can from this and be ready for game five.'
The East winner will face either Oklahoma City or Minnesota in the NBA Finals starting 5 June.
Haliburton's father was in the arena after a month-long ban following an on-court incident with Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo earlier in the playoffs.
'Hell yeah. I'm glad pop is in the building,' Haliburton said. 'It makes it that much more sweet. Had a little bit to do with it.'
Haliburton, who also had four steals, made 11-of-23 shots from the floor and 5-of-12 from three-point range.
'We tried giving him different looks,' Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. 'We'll look at the film. We just have to do better.'
Pascal Siakam added 30 points for the Pacers while Bennedict Mathurin scored 20 points off the bench for Indiana.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 31 points while Karl-Anthony Towns had 24 points and 12 rebounds, O.G. Anunoby had 22 points and Mikael Bridges netted 17 points. New York gave up 17 turnovers.

Offaly prove too strong for New York in Tailteann clash
Last year's horrific defeat at the hands of London had Offaly on high alert for the visit of another team of exiles when New York came to Tullamore for a very one-sided Tailteann Cup preliminary quarter-final on Saturday. The home side clearly took the bitter lessons of last year on board as they recovered from an uncertain opening quarter to romp to a very comprehensive and convincing win. It was a dispiriting afternoon for New York who arrived into Tullamore on Thursday and were clearly determined to make their mark and take a noteworthy scalp. It looked like they could make a game of it for a while when playing into the wind in the first half but it all unravelled for them in the second quarter as the game slipped beyond their reach. Offaly took a while to find the range but a 1-14 to 0-02 lead had them in a very strong position at the break after playing with a stiff wind. Home supporters were getting worried early on as Offaly kicked four wides in the first six minutes and found themselves 0-02 to 0-01 down after nine minutes with points from Kieran Murphy and Frank O'Reilly (free) edging New York in front. New York not only failed to score again in the half but scarcely threatened the posts as Offaly turned over a huge volume of ball. A Dylan Hyland two-pointer edged Offaly in front in the 10th minute and they were 0-06 to 0-02 ahead at the quarter way stage. Offaly found another gear in the second quarter. Jordan Hayes got a spectacular two-pointer and Dylan Hyland got their third of the half from a free to put them 0-14 to 0-2 clear after 31 minutes. The outstanding Hyland then got a fortunate goal in the 33rd minute. His fisted attempt at a point dropped short and looked to be falling harmlessly into the net but it hit the post and he toed the break to the net for a very big half-time lead. Offaly killed the game off very professionally in the second half, dictating the pace of play for most of the early exchanges. Keith O'Neill and Shane Tierney extended Offaly's advantage before Bobby O'Regan ended a long scoreless streak from the ninth minute with a 43rd-minute free. By the 55th minute, Offaly led by 2-20 to 0-05 as Ruari McNamee kicked 1-02 off the bench in the space of seven minutes. New York to their credit fought hard for their pride and gave their supporters something to cheer about with 1-06 without reply between the 57th and 63rd minutes. Frank O'Reilly got them going with a two-point free and Bobby O'Regan blasted home a sensational 59th-minute goal as New York reduced the gap to 2-20 to 1-11. They could have been closer as Paddy Dunican saved very well from Killian Butler and Eoghan McElliott hit the crossbar with a powerful shot. Goals wouldn't have saved New York at this stage and as it was man of the match, Dylan Hyland halted a growing Offaly rot late on, firing over five late points, three from play and a two-point free. Tailteann Cup preliminary quarter-final: Offaly 2-25 (2-4-17) New York 1-12 (1-1-5) Bobby O'Regan's sensational late goal for New York may dominate the social media channels over the next few days, but Dylan Hyland's sustained excellence ensured that Offaly had a comfortable afternoon in Tullamore this afternoon, easing to victory against a New York side that cause Laois plenty of problems in the same fixture 12 months ago. Some excellent catches from Kieran Murphy and Eoghan McElligott in the early stages gave New York a solid foothold and with ten minutes gone in the first half, the Exiles led by 0-2 to 0-1 with a strong breeze favouring the midlanders. Then Hyland hoisted over a superb two-pointer, Leaving Cert student Cillian Bourke came to the fore in the kickout battle to give the Faithful County a solid base of possession, and Offaly would have 1-15 added to the scoreboard by the time New York raised their third flag of the game. Eleven first half wides, three shots dropped short and a good goal chance that Keith O'Neill poked wide of the target might have been costly on another afternoon, and given the strength of the breeze, even at 0-14 to 0-2 behind coming up to half-time, New York wouldn't have been entirely without hope. Then Hyland cut in from the left corner and attempted to fist a point, only for the ball to bounce off the far post and fall perfectly for him to gather up the rebound and score as simple a goal as he'll ever get. With the life and hope extinguished from New York, Offaly continued their momentum after the break, Ruairí McNamee adding to the attack with 1-2, but New York finally showed their talent in the closing stages. Jack Robinson, who grew up on the Offaly border club of Clogherinkoe, fired two excellent points and should have had a goal to go with it, while Bobby O'Regan's incredible strike will no doubt go viral during the week, as it's unlikely that there will be as good a score registered anywhere.
