Watch: CNN reveal unseen footage of Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein

Colum Motherway 23/07/2025 CNN have unearthed and released new footage that sheds a fresh light on Donald Trump's past relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Photos from 1993 have confirmed that Epstein attended the now-US President's wedding to Marla Maples, which was not widely known to the public. As well as this, footage from a 1999 Victoria's Secret fashion event in New York shows the pair laughing and chatting together before the runway event. 🚨TRUMP EXPLODES AT CNN AFTER THEY REVEAL EPSTEIN WAS AT HIS WEDDING: In a brief call with CNN today, Trump was asked about a photo of Epstein at his wedding. Trump said 'you've got to be kidding me,' before repeatedly calling CNN 'fake news' and hanging up. He's terrified. — CALL TO ACTIVISM (@CalltoActivism) July 23, 2025 CNN's KFile uncovered the raw footage during a review of archival videos of Trump at events in the 1990s and 2000s. In a 30-second call with CNN on Tuesday, the US President was asked about the wedding photos, to which he responded: 'You've got to be kidding me,' before repeatedly calling them 'fake news' and hanging up. The 79-year-old has been under increasing pressure in recent months to release the 'Epstein Files', but is determined to sweep them under the rug and seemingly hope that they are just forgotten about. Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump in 1997. Pic:His relationship with Epstein has been questioned for a long time in the US, with plenty of photos of the pair – and some also including convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell – circulating in the media for decades. Allegations that Epstein sexually abused underage girls first surfaced in 2005, leading to his arrest a year later. He was arrested again in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and later died in jail, fueling numerous conspiracy theories. Trump and Epstein's relationship dates back to the 1980s, with the pair regularly spotted together at social events in Palm Beach and New York. In 1993, photographer Dafydd Jones took photos at the opening of the Harley Davidson Café in New York, capturing the two together with Trump's arms around his two young children. Two months after this, Jones was assigned to photograph Trump and Marla Maples' wedding, where he snapped Epstein entering the ceremony. Jones told CNN: 'I wish now I took more of him with Trump. I had the job of photographing the Trump wedding, so I stood with the press and photographed him. The image you have is from the contact sheet – the negatives were lost.' In 2002, Trump was quoted in New York Magazine profile of Epstein, calling him 'a terrific guy' and adding that he had known him for about 15 years. He also stated: 'It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.' Donald Trump and his now wife Melania with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in February 2000. Pic:Recently, The Wall Street Journal reported on a 50th birthday greeting to Jeffrey Epstein that Trump allegedly sent in 2003 which included a sexually suggestive drawing and a reference to secrets they shared. According to the newspaper, the letter contained the outline of a naked woman, apparently drawn with a marker pen, and had Trump's signature. It reportedly ends with 'Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret'. Trump has since filed a lawsuit against Dow Jones, News Corp, Rupert Murdoch and two Wall Street Journal reporters, raising claims under federal libel law. He vehemently denied the Journal report warning Murdoch, the founder of News Corp, the paper's parent company, that he planned to sue. Donald Trump has even faced backlash from some of his MAGA troops. Pic: Somodevilla/Getty Images Now, the US Justice Department has asked lawyers for Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell if she would be willing to speak with prosecutors, while Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said that he expects to meet with her in the coming days. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for crimes including child sex trafficking. Trump is facing a rare backlash from sections of his MAGA fanbase after they were led to believe that he would release an 'Epstein list' of clients upon his return to the White House. It then came as a surprise to them when Attorney General Pam Bondi issued an official memo in July declaring that there was no such list.

Massive protests sweep Kyiv over corruption reform in biggest challenge to Zelensky since Putin's invasion of Ukraine

MAJOR protests have started to sweep across Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a controversial corruption bill. Critics fear the new law may weaken the country's anti-corruption bodies by stripping the two main organisations in the embattled nation of their independence. He warned that the bill needed to be passed in order to clear the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) of "Russian influence". The offices of the two agencies were raided by Ukraine's security services on Monday after infiltration allegations from Moscow emerged. All corruption cases in Ukraine will now placed under the control of the prosecutor general, Ruslan Kravchenko. He claims that the current anti-corruption infrastructure often allows for important cases to be left "lying dormant" for years. The President added that the prosecutor general would ensure "the inevitability of punishment" for those who broke the law. But many civilians strongly disagreed with his beliefs saying the bill now gives Zelensky ultimate power over independent bodies. The issue is due to continue to rage on for some time after the Ukrainian parliament voted for the law on July 22. Advertisement It was swiftly approved by the speaker shortly afterwards. The heads of NABU and SAPO quickly implored President Zelensky to go back on the decree. The issue of anti-corruption independence in Ukraine has also branched out across Europe in the past 24 hours. Several G7 ambassadors voiced their concerns over the bill. Advertisement The European Union also warned against Ukraine's making any hasty judgements. What are Zelensky's controversial reforms? PRESIDENT Volodymyr Zelensky has signed into law a new bill surrounding the independence of Ukraine's two key anti-corruption institutions. The bill was passed with the support of 263 lawmakers, with 13 voting against it and 13 abstaining. The new law now brings the independent National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office under the lead of the prosecutor general of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko. Ruslan is now able to transfer cases from the agencies and reassign prosecutors. Zelensky believes the change will speed up the process of finalising cases as well as stamp out any alleged Russian influence. The shocking claims came to light after Inner West London coroner Dr Fiona Wilcox attempted to verify the repatriated Brits' identities by matching DNA with samples provided by grieving families. On Tuesday night, a high-level inquiry was launched in London and India. Sir Keir Starmer is reportedly expected to raise concerns over the repatriation process with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his state visit to the UK later this week. Only two instances of mistaken identity have been reported so far - but fears are mounting that more could still have been made. All India Flight 171 died other than one after the jet smashed into a doctor's hospital in Ahmedabad, India, en route to London Gatwick. Most read in The Sun Dozens more died on the ground taking the tragic total to 260. A total of 53 Brits were on board the aircraft, including lone survivor Moment bandaged Brit survivor of Air India crash carries brother's coffin Although some victims were quickly cremated or buried in India, according to religious beliefs, aviation lawyer James Healy-Pratt said the remains of at least 12 had been repatriated. He is currently representing Brit families by making sure the full facts behind the horror crash are known, and ensuring the compensation is awarded to victims' families in court. Healy-Pratt is now investigating the alleged body mix-up that reportedly occurred during the repatriation process. He told the Daily Mail that some of the distraught families he has been working with had "got the wrong remains" sent to them. The lawyer detailed how the family who received "commingled" remains were able to separate the body parts and hold a funeral service. But he revealed that the other set of relatives, whom he dubbed Family X, had been "left in limbo". He said: "Family X have no-one to bury because it was the wrong person in their casket. "And if isn't their relative, the question is, who is it in that coffin?" He continued: "Presumably it's another passenger and their relatives have been given the wrong remains." 9 Locals stand outside Vishvash Ramesh's family home in Leicester Credit: Reuters 9 260 people died in the horror smash The lawyer added that the coroner also had a problem with the "unidentified person" in her jurisdiction. He is now working to establish the exact chain of events in the reportedly botched identification process. This process will start with figuring out when the corpses were pulled from the wreckage, and end with when each one arrived in the UK. Brit families previously slammed the chaotic ground operation following the horror smash on June 12. One relative reportedly blasted the "lack of transparency and oversight in the identification and handling of remains". Calls for a British-run ID unit to be flown in were also made. The gruelling recovery operation began soon after the plane crashed and was led by Ahmedabad's police and fire departments and the state disaster response force. Sniffer dogs and high-tech search equipment were pulled in to help - and even locals joined in, sifting through smouldering metal with their bare hands in some cases. The remains of virtually all the victims were believed to have been found within three days. This was despite the fact that the blistering 1,500 degrees heat had burnt most remains beyond recognition. 9 Captain Sumeet Sabharwal Captain of Air India Flight AI 171 Credit: Pixel8000 9 Co-Pilot and First Officer Clive Kundar of Air India Flight AI 171 Credit: Pixel8000 Hundreds of families received loved ones' remains from the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad - in a plastic container rather than a coffin. Relatives gave DNA samples to be used as identification - but in the most severe cases they had to be matched against dental records. Families relied on officials to carry out the process accurately and label the containers correctly. Altaf Taju, from Blackburn, whose London-based parents Adam, 72 and Hasina, 70, died along with their son-on-law Altafhusen Patel, 51, in the horror smash, said: "Nobody looked at the remains. We weren't allowed to. "They just said, 'This is your mother or father', and gave us a paper label with an ID number on it. "We had to take their word for it. It's horrific that this could have happened, but what could anyone do?" Taju was told of the alleged mix-up by a police liaison officer - but said that his relatives were not involved in the mix-up as they were buried in India quickly.
