Watch: Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase harassed on flight for saying no to autograph request

Katie Stratman-Imagn Images Imagine trying to chill on a flight, headphones in, hoodie up, low-key vibes, only to have someone expose you mid-air because you didn't sign an autograph. That's exactly what happened to Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase. A salty fan flipped out after Chase turned down his autograph request before takeoff. What followed? A petty outburst, an exposed identity, and a viral moment that left the internet cringing hard but not at Chase. Bengals star Ja'Marr Chase gets ambushed mid-flight by an angry fan over autograph snub According to the now-viral clip, Ja'Marr Chase was minding his own business during a flight when a fan asked him for an autograph. Chase politely declined maybe not the ideal moment to be penning signatures 30,000 feet in the air. But instead of letting it go, the fan went full meltdown mode. 'You should've signed that auto and I wouldn't have blown your cover,' the man shouted, clearly upset that Chase didn't give in. He loudly exposed Chase's identity to the whole cabin, creating a super awkward moment for everyone on board. Chase, staying calm, didn't even react, he just let the guy embarrass himself. The internet quickly picked sides and Ja'Marr Chase came out on top Social media did not hold back. As soon as the video hit X (formerly Twitter), fans swarmed in to support Chase. One user wrote, 'Pretty sure it's an entitled white man.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo while another added, 'Imagine being an adult and wanting a autograph like a kid' People applauded Chase for staying cool and not engaging. Instead of getting dragged into the mess, he let the fan dig his own grave in front of millions. Ja'Marr Chase is not some arrogant celebrity who hates fans. He's been seen at Bengals training camps signing tons of autographs, especially for kids. He engages with fans all the time, when it's appropriate. This wasn't a meet-and-greet. It was a flight. A small, enclosed space where someone just wanted to travel in peace. Athletes don't owe autographs at all times, and Chase exercised a completely reasonable boundary. The fan just didn't know how to take 'no' like a grown adult. Just because someone's famous doesn't mean they're on-call 24/7 for photos and autographs. Ja'Marr Chase was trying to stay under the radar and he had every right to. The real takeaway? Being a fan doesn't mean being entitled. Chase kept his cool, the fan caught an L, and the rest of us got another lesson in 'how not to act when you see a celebrity.' Johnny Depp breaks silence on Hollywood elites who betrayed him during Amber Heard lawsuit: 'They were at my kids' parties...'

'Crash Test Dummy' for #MeToo? Depp Says He Took the Hits for Hollywood Getty Images During the interview, Depp provocatively called himself a 'crash test dummy' for the #MeToo movement, alleging that the tide of social justice took a personal toll on his life and reputation. The Long Road to Court — OkiemSerka (@OkiemSerka) Post-Trial Fallout Johnny Depp is back in the headlines—this time, not for a courtroom drama or red carpet appearance, but for peeling back the layers of his emotional scars left behind by the Amber Heard defamation trial . In a searing new interview with The Sunday Times, the 62-year-old actor didn't mince words when addressing the emotional and personal fallout he endured after being dragged through the public wringer. 'There are people, and I'm thinking of three, who did me dirty,' Depp confessed, sending shockwaves through Hollywood's tight-lipped unnamed individuals, Depp says, were not just business acquaintances—they were friends. People who once attended his children's parties and toasted to his success, but remained silent or turned their backs when the actor needed their support the most. 'They were at my kids' parties. Throwing them in the air,' he said. 'And, look, I understand people who could not stand up [for me], because the most frightening thing to them was making the right choice.'During the interview, Depp provocatively called himself a 'crash test dummy' for the #MeToo movement , alleging that the tide of social justice took a personal toll on his life and reputation. 'I was like a crash test dummy for MeToo,' he said, describing how he absorbed blow after blow while the industry watched in silence. 'And so I wanted from the hundreds of people I've met in that industry to see who was playing it safe. 'Better go woke!''Referring to the cultural atmosphere during the height of the movement, Depp added, 'The confetti machine [is] going because what do they want? Dough.' The metaphor was his way of describing what he calls Hollywood's hypocrisy: people who celebrate you in public, criticize you behind closed doors, and keep cashing in regardless of your explosive trial that inspired these reflections began brewing years earlier. In May 2016, Amber Heard accused Depp of domestic violence and filed for divorce shortly thereafter. Though a settlement followed, Depp reignited the legal battle in 2019 with a $50 million defamation suit over a Washington Post op-ed in which Heard discussed her experience with abuse—without naming Depp courtroom saga gripped the world when the trial went live in April 2022. Over six weeks of televised testimony, both actors accused each other of harrowing abuse, creating a media circus that split public opinion. In June, the jury ruled largely in Depp's favor, awarding him $10.35 million in damages. Heard received $2 million in her countersuit. By December, the case was settled, with Heard agreeing to pay $1 million to be donated to the trial, Heard relocated to Spain with her daughter Oonagh, quietly stepping away from the spotlight. But for Depp, the spotlight never quite dimmed. His recent comments have once again raised questions about loyalty, accountability, and how public narratives around private pain often get twisted beyond recognition.'I was with one agent for 30 years, but she spoke in court about how difficult I was,' Depp revealed in the interview. 'That's death by confetti, these fake mo*****rs who lie to you, celebrate you, say all sorts of horror behind your back, yet keep the money.'While Depp has not named the individuals who 'did him dirty,' his message is loud and clear: the most painful scars are often inflicted not by enemies, but by friends who stay quiet when it matters most.

The Thunder are NBA champions, and they might be just getting started

OKLAHOMA CITY — The promise came three years ago from Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti. It might have been overlooked for a couple of reasons. One, the Thunder were awful at the time. Two, he was speaking Latin. HT Image 'Labor omnia vincit,' Presti said after the 2021-22 season, quoting a motto of Oklahoma. Depending on how Presti was translating it, it could have been 'hard work conquers all' or 'slow work conquers all.' Either way, it applies to the Thunder. They did hard work. They did slow work. They conquered all. The Thunder — three years removed from winning 24 games — won 84 games this season and are NBA champions after beating the Indiana Pacers in a seven-game NBA Finals slugfest. For the rest of the NBA, this should be a scary development. They have the MVP in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He and all of Oklahoma City's key players are under contract for next season, there's a 2024 lottery pick in Nikola Topic who didn't even play this season because of a torn ACL and the Thunder currently have two picks in the top 24 in this year's draft as well. They are young; their starters, right now, are 27, 26, 26, 24 and 23. They are bold. And they might — should — be contending for a while. 'We definitely still have room to grow,' said Gilgeous-Alexander, the MVP, the NBA Finals MVP, the league's scoring champion and now, an NBA champion as well. 'That's the fun part of this. So many of us can still get better. There's not very many of us on the team that are in our prime or even close to it. We have a lot to grow, individually and as a group. I'm excited for the future of this team. This is a great start, for sure.' And the timing of them hitting this sort of stride is pretty good, too. Plenty of teams have questions going into next season. Oklahoma City isn't one of them. Jayson Tatum in Boston, Damian Lillard in Milwaukee and now Tyrese Haliburton in Indiana all have Achilles injuries and figure to miss most if not all of next season. The Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James will be going into his 23rd season. Golden State's Stephen Curry is turning 38 next season. Kevin Durant, now of Houston , is going into his 18th season. Philadelphia's hopes hinge on Joel Embiid coming back healthy. New York will be dealing with a coaching change. Oklahoma City seems to have everything right in place. 'They have a lot of great players on this team,' Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren all seem to enjoy playing with and off one another, none of them caring who gets credit. Alex Caruso and Isaiah Hartenstein fit seamlessly into the roles the Thunder asked them to play. Luguentz Dort is a defensive machine and has come to realize that most people don't have the ability to appreciate how good he is at that end. It's not just the players who don't care about puffing out their own chests. Same goes for the leadership. 'You're not guaranteed anything in the league,' Caruso said. 'I think that's the biggest thing that happens year to year that people forget about. Any moment your team can change with a trade, with an injury, with something that's out of your control. To be able to get to the pinnacle of this sport and win it is nothing short of extraordinary. To think that you can just walk in and do it every single year is a little bit naïve. Rest assured, we'll show up Day 1 next year ready to get better and ready to chase this again.' Presti, the architect of it all, rarely speaks publicly. Same goes for Clay Bennett, the owner. And coach Mark Daigneault is the calm in the eye of any storm, the perfect driver of the Thunder bus. 'There's no guarantee you end it the way that we did,' Daigneault said. 'I just wanted it so bad for them. I was just so thrilled that we were able to get that done and they get to experience this because they deserve it. The way they approach it, the professionalism, competitiveness, team-first nature, like I said, I wanted it so bad for them.' The journey isn't over for the Thunder. It's just starting. Presti has a war chest filled with draft picks and the team has some financial flexibility to add a piece if it so chooses. And now there's a title to defend. Labor omnia vincit. There's more work to do. 'We have a lot of hard work in front of us,' Presti said that day in 2022. 'We have to grind in and do it. That's what the state is about. That's what the history of the community is about. That's what the basketball team here is about.'
