(Video) Steady Gang's Haoren Apologises For Disrespecting 'Negaraku' During Recent Event
On the evening of 8th August 2025 (Friday), Haoren and his Steady Gang members attended the 8TV Starfluencer Event. While the media personality won several awards that night, his wins were overshadowed by the controversy over his social media post. According to reports, Haoren had posted a video of himself and his groupmates singing 'Negaraku' when it played at the event hall before the award ceremony.
It's worth noting that filming oneself singing along to the national anthem isn't an issue. However, the video sparked widespread criticism because Haoren and his groupmate, Tomato, appeared to be fooling around while 'Negaraku' was playing. Their actions prompted many netizens to call them out for disrespecting the national anthem. After the issue went viral, Haoren deleted the video and issued an apology.
In his statement, the influencer admitted his mistake and said he deeply regrets his inappropriate behaviour. He added, 'I am well aware that the national anthem is not only a symbol of the country, but also carries solemn historical significance and the emotional identification of all citizens.' Haoren also promised to reflect on his actions and behave appropriately at future events.
Haoren's apology was met with mixed reactions. Some thanked him for being accountable for his actions and urged him to learn from his mistakes. However, others lamented that the influencer should've known better than to fool around when singing 'Negaraku', arguing that it's basic etiquette to respect the national anthem. Some also quipped that he should be more mature, especially since he's already a father and has many young fans.
Meanwhile, Tomato has yet to issue a statement on the matter. Regardless, we hope Haoren and the rest of Steady Gang will reflect on this issue and learn to be more respectful of the national anthem and other expressions of a country's identity. Here's a recording of the now-deleted video:

Man spends RM26,000 to restore wife's smile
FOR one man, a smile is worth more than gold, leading him to spend RM26,000 on dental implants to restore his wife's smile, Kosmo! Online reported. The gesture was Mohd Yazid Ismail's way of expressing gratitude to his wife, whose teeth had weakened after years of breastfeeding their seven children. In a Facebook post, he explained that his wife suffered brittle teeth and damaged molars, which he believed was caused by calcium deficiency. 'Many breastfeeding mothers face the same problem. 'Calcium is channelled to the baby, leaving the gums weak and the teeth prone to damage,' he wrote. After consultations, the couple opted for implant treatment. 'Although the cost is rather high, I am willing to pay for it because it is for her well-being. To me, my wife's health and smile are priceless. 'She has sacrificed her body for our children, so it is my duty to look after her,' he added. His post has been shared more than 2,000 times and received over 5,600 likes. > The news portal also reported that rapper Bunga Isme is finally reaping the rewards of her hard work with the launch of her debut album Seharum Nama. The album marks a major milestone in her career after years of releasing singles since 2019. Bunga, whose real name is Noor Ayu Fatini Mohd Bakhari, said she had struggled to balance her studies with her singing career. She recalled commuting nearly 100km daily between her home in Petaling Jaya and her university in Seremban. 'I also performed on weekends. I failed two subjects and nearly quit singing. 'It wasn't easy, but those experiences taught me patience and resilience,' she added. The above article is compiled from the vernacular newspapers (Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and Tamil dailies). QuickCheck: Is it true that the speed of a computer mouse is measured in ‘Mickeys'?
AROUND the world, Disney's Mickey Mouse is arguably the most famous rodent – and it would seem logical that people would use his name wherever they felt it suitable. It has been said that a 'mickey' is a unit of measurement, one used to describe the smallest detectable movement of a mouse cursor. Is this true? VERDICT: TRUE This is indeed true, and it has been explained by organisations like the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers through a post on their official Facebook account. 'Mickeys per second is a unit of measurement for the speed and movement direction of a computer mouse. The directional movements are called the horizontal mickey count and the vertical mickey count,' it said. Similarly, the computing aid website Computer Hope explains this and adds that mickey is a unit of measure for the smallest possible movement of a computer mouse. 'The speed is determined by how many millimeters you move the mouse with how many pixels the pointer moves on the screen,' it said. 'There are varying measurements depending on the equipment used, but generally a mickey is considered either 1/200 of an inch or 0.1 millimeters,' added Computer Hope.
