The actor added that her mother never forced her to follow "outdated ideas" of how a girl should dress. "[My mother] never imposed tradition on me. She raised me with love, not limitations. She saw me for the child I was, and the emotional, expressive woman I was becoming," Alizeh said.
The Taqdeer actor questioned the recent upsurge of outrage directed at her, expressing confusion over why it is happening now. She wondered if these reactions were prompted by her being honest about her dressing and not complying with someone else's standards of who she must be.
"This isn't about clothes. It's about control," she said. "I'm not here to be anyone's idea of 'acceptable'. I've worked for everything I have, and I don't need your permission. What's truly disturbing isn't my appearance - it's the obsession with tearing someone down just because they're visible. If my confidence bothers you, maybe ask yourself why."
Slamming double standards, Alizeh asserted that those who point out faults in women online must stop engaging with content from actors and influencers overall.
"Islam teaches us to reflect on our own actions before judging others. Telling a woman she must wear a burqa or leave her profession is not your role," she said. "Everyone is accountable to Allah, not to public opinion. Let people work and live with dignity. This world is hard enough - especially for women - so instead of policing them, focus on your own path."

Stop trolling celebs, pleads Juggun Kazim
In the wake of her public and private reconciliation with young actor Alizeh Shah, host Juggun Kazim has taken some of her followers to task by demanding to know why trolling is their go-to response to celebrities. In addition to lamenting that even the simple act of issuing an apology can be deconstructed for additional meaning, Juggun stressed that she would not share her private conversations with Alizeh over the matter, despite requests from followers for screenshots. However, what angered Juggun even more is that repeated trolling Alizeh continues to be subjected to. Noting that she had received a "beautiful" response from the young actor, Juggun delivered a scathing takedown of cultural response to trauma. "Alizeh is upset! Her heart is broken, but in our society, when someone is going through an emotional trauma, instead of giving them love and support, we start trolling them instead. Please, guys! She's a young person dealing with memories of being mistreated in the industry – of which I, too, played a part. She's dealing with PTSD!" Having acknowledged her own hand in Alizeh's past trauma, Juggun once again urged viewers to "please stop trolling people." "How much free time do people have that they find someone to follow online and then leave negative comments on all their posts and humiliate them on their own social media?" wondered the Morning With Juggun host.
