EXCLUSIVE Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos rumoured to be setting sail for 'the White Lotus Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Sicily' after their £40m three-day wedding celebrations in Venice

Daily Mail29-06-2025
Following their glamorous multi-day, multi-million dollar wedding celebrations in Venice, newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are now heading on their equally lavish honeymoon.
Sources suggest the billionaire couple will enjoy a luxurious trip as they take their first holiday as husband and wife.
Though the details have not yet been confirmed, it is believed they will have stayed in the area of Torcello to enjoy lunch, before heading to Nicelli airport.
There, the luxury travel will continue, with the pair said to be journeyed in a helicopter back to Bezos' $500 million superyacht, 'Koru,' the crown jewel of sailing yachts.
The plan is for the impressive vessel to move on to Taormina in Sicily, according to The Daily Mail's Chief Showbusiness Writer Alison Boshoff. Bezos fell in love with the town last year when the couple sailed along Sicily's coast and the Aeolian Islands.
The belief is that he and Lauren will anchor in Taormina and spend time at the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace – famous for being the host hotel for The White Lotus, season two.
The hotel, where a suite can cost upwards of €7,000 a night, is in the Sicilian hilltop town, beside the Ionian Sea and below an active volcano called Mount Etna. It is located near vineyards, an ancient Greek theatre, and medieval villages.
Earlier, the beaming newlyweds were snapped waving goodbye as they left the Aman Venice hotel by boat on Sunday after their three-day wedding extravaganza.
While the details of the honeymoon are unconfirmed, it's believed the couple will stay at the luxurious Four Seasons San Domenico Palace (pictured) on Sicily - which was featured in the second season of The White Lotus
Lauren stunned in a loose-fitting sleeveless white dress with an elegant drape as the Italian sun shined down on her. She completed the look with a wide-brimmed black hat and oversized black shades.
Meanwhile, her husband kept it casual after a weekend of formal looks, opting for a navy t-shirt to keep cool in the summer heat.
If the couple are heading to the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace, it is a luxury Italian hotel which has its own rich history - which includes an impressive rota of famous guests including Oscar Wilde.
The hotel was bequeathed to the San Dominican religious order by Baron Damiano Rosso d'Altavilla, a benefactor of the order, who had turned to the monastic life himself. The order received the building in 1430, five years after the Baron's death.
After the convent was established in the building, retaining a small community which never exceeded 40, over the coming centuries.
Then, some 400 years later in 1866, a law was passed by the Italian state in an effort to suppress religious orders and confiscate their assets.
State representatives came to confiscate the building, and despite there being only one monk there, Vincenzo Bottari Cacciola, they had to use force to take the keys as he was not willing to hand it over.
Vincenzo went on to unearth an ancient document that had been kept in secret by the brothers - Damiano Rosso's will.
Described as the 'wedding of a century,' the 61-year-old Amazon founder and the former journalist, 55, exchanged vows in front of nearly 200 VIPs on San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice, Italy , on Friday
As the will stated that the building had only been lent to the Dominicans, this meant it could not be requisitioned by the state, so the monk approached a descendant of Damiano Rosso, Prince Cerami, who reacquired ownership rights to the convent.
It was Prince Cerami's vision to transform the convent into a hotel, and his addition of a large wing in the Liberty architectural style, ensured the building's status as one of Europe's first grand hotels.
With Taormina becoming a fashionable location for European tourists at the time, with the town known for its wild parties and a liberal sexual atmosphere, the hotel became a renowned global destination.
High profile guests visited through the early 1900s, including King Edward VII the second, Baron Rothschild, Oscar Wilde and DH Lawrence.
The hotel's fortunes took a turn in 1943, when it was bombed by the Allies while being used as a headquarters by the German army.
It was several years until the hotel was reopened, in 1926, after the convent, which was almost totally destroyed during the war.
Upon its reopening, it hosted many lavish parties. By the 1950s, many of the most famous stage and screen visited the location, including Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren.
More recently, the hotel hosted political leaders for a G7 summit meeting in 2017 - but most people now associate it with the White Lotus franchise.

The nuptials began on Thursday with the first of three days of parties in Venice, followed by the intimate ceremony on Friday and then a star-studded rave.
Around 200 of the world's wealthiest people were gathering for a final night's fun, and many of the VIP guests were spotted bidding goodbye to the Italian city the following morning.
The party appeared to have a pyjamas and masked ball theme, with music from Usher and popular US DJ Cassidy.
Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Orlando Bloom and Leonardo DiCaprio led the star-studded departures from Venice on Sunday morning, following the final party on Saturday night of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez 's three-day wedding extravaganza.
Kylie commanded attention as she made her departure, sporting a leopard print top and matching tight-fitted jeans as she climbed into a waiting water taxi.
The makeup mogul looked ever the doting mother as she walked hand-in-hand with her seven-year-old daughter Stormi, who she brought along on the lavish trip.

While sister Kendall also was seen making her way down the dock, looking effortlessly styling in a lowcut tank top, capri pants and the latest footwear trend - jelly sandals.
Following behind her was Hollywood stars Orlando, 48, and Leo, 50, who jumped into a water taxi alongside Leo's model girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, 27.
Orlando flashed a wide grin as he climbed in the boat, wearing a button-up shirt left open to reveal a white vest underneath and several pendant necklaces.
Hollywood's newest bachelor embraced his new single status on the Italian getaway, coming just after news broke that he and his fiancée Katy Perry, 40, had called off their engagement.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star was spotted in the back of a Venetian water taxi with a woman on Thursday, who was later revealed to be Jamie Mizrahi, 36, who was actually a former stylist for Katy and Meghan Markle.
Orlando was also spotted enjoying a Venetian brunch the following morning and sipping on cocktails poolside with celebrity pals Leo and Tom Brady during a boys' day out.
While Leo continued his attempts to go unrecognisable as he left for the airport, pulling his trademark baseball cap down as low as possible, and adding the hood of his zip-up jumper over the top, to cover as much of his famous face as possible.
In contrast, girlfriend Vittoria put on a leggy display in a fashionable summer minidress, as she received a helping hand onto the boat.
The model added a pair of trendy black sunglasses, and was spotted standing at the back of the boat as it sped to the mainland, chatting to Orlando.
NFL legend Tom appeared to make his exit at the same time, looking relaxed in a green T-shirt and black cargo pants.

Kylie and Kendall's mother Kris Jenner, was also spotted leaving arm-in-arm with Oprah Winfrey, with the two women walking down the dock alongside Gayle King and Kris' boyfriend Corey Gamble.
The Kardashian family matriarch looked in high spirits, wearing a jungle-patterned jacket and trouser co-ord and hiding behind black shades.
While Oprah looked chic in all-white, as she wrapped an arm around Kris' shoulders and listened intently to her pal.
BFF Gayle - who memorably went on Bezos' Blue Origin spaceflight alongside Sanchez - caught the eye in a multi-coloured striped dress that showcased her slender frame.
Among the star-studded guests at the $20M nuptials were Kris' fellow daughters Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

However, the two sisters left the city early, making a swift exit by boat on Saturday, despite the $20M festivities being far from over.
Kim, 44, and Khloe, 41, were spotted wearing casual ensembles as they made a low-key departure, presumably to board a private flight back to Los Angeles.
Bill Gates was also spotted making his exit from the Italian city, still looking cheerful after the extravagant 72-hour nuptials.
Despite being far away from Silicon Valley, the Microsoft founder still looked the part of a tech entrepreneur in a simple black polo shirt with black trousers.
He sported a black baseball cap to protect himself from the sun and opted for comfortable trainers for his journey home.
Bill was joined by his glamorous girlfriend Paula Hurd, 62, - who he has been dating since 2023 - who looked effortlessly elegant as she matched with Bill in another all-in-black ensemble.
CEO of Kering and fellows billionaire, François-Henri Pinault was among those spotted arriving at Venice airport after the celebrations had finally come to an end.
And another of Bezos' billionaire guests, Barry Diller was stood at the dock of the airport, ahead of his flight back home.
Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner were also spotted making their exit, after arriving in Italian city on Tuesday.

Bezos, worth £177billion, has taken over the Italian city for a wedding estimated to have cost up to £40million, small change for the world's third richest man.
But 700 demonstrators gathered at Santa Lucia railway station carrying protest banners and waving inflatable crocodiles.
The demo was organised by the No Space For Bezos group, with some carrying Amazon boxes with the words: 'Ordered, Shipped, Delivered, Rejected.'
But Bezos and Sanchez cared not a jot. It was the second marriage for both and they have seven children between them.
Earlier, they blew kisses on a visit to Harry's Bar – and give a first glimpse of their understated wedding rings.
Sanchez's simple wedding band was in stark contrast to the 30-carat $3million pink diamond she sported after Bezos asked her to marry him two years ago.
In the run-up to Friday's ceremony, that sparkler was switched to her right to make way for an upgrade – an even larger, brilliant-white diamond, estimated at 35 carats and worth $10million.

But impeccable sources reveal that the billionaire were already legally married, with a source closely connected to the organisation of the week's events saying: 'They have been married for at least a month, more than a month.
'The marriage is fully legal and took place in America under American law.'
The source added: 'When they were planning the wedding, they were clear about the fact that they were already secretly married. There is no application for a wedding license from the couple because it was not required.
'Whatever happens at the wedding on Friday, it will not be a wedding. Under Italian law, it will not be a wedding celebration, any vows said or rings exchanged will have no legal meaning.'
The source added that Bezos had personally confirmed that he and Sanchez – who met when both were married to other people – are already legally married, and that they had also signed a pre-nuptial agreement to protect his $244 billion fortune.
The wedding, held two years after Bezos proposed to Sanchez aboard his $500million superyacht, was described as 'extremely intimate' with a strict no-phone policy - with around 70 of the 200 guests being family members.
The only images that emerged of the nuptials came via Sanchez's official Instagram account - and photos of guests leaving the night-time celebrations were scarce.
She revealed to Vogue her wedding dress was inspired by the high-necked lace wedding dress Sophia Loren wore to marry Cary Grant in the 1958 film Houseboat.

'I almost gave in,' she admitted. 'But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can't wait to see his face.'
This was not the only tradition the couple stuck with: Sanchez also donned 'something borrowed' for the ceremony - a pair of Dolce earrings.
And she explained to Vogue that her 'something blue' was from her Blue Origin flight, revealing she carried a secret souvenir up in the rocket so she could bring it back for Bezos 'because it was one of the most profound experiences I've had in my life.'
Sánchez went on: 'Seeing Earth from space, I came down and I couldn't describe it. It was the greatest experience I've ever had'.
The Bezos couple are thought to have splashed out a staggering $20million on their multiple-day extravagant wedding bash.
As guests arrived at the reception on Friday, they were welcomed by the stirring sounds of trumpets, violins, and a soulful Gospel choir.
That same choir returned to belt out Whitney Houston's Higher Love right after the couple exchanged their vows, with guests cheering and singing along during the heartfelt moment.

Opera singer Matteo Bocelli kicked off the wedding reception with a touching tribute, opening his set with the timeless Elvis Presley classic I Can't Help Falling in Love With You.
The son of renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli stepped in since his father was tied up with concerts in southern Italy over the weekend.
Earlier in the day, award-winning journalist Sanchez made a chic first appearance, stepping out of the five-star Aman Hotel in a sophisticated white Dior puff-sleeve suit, perfectly accessorized with a headscarf and oversized sunglasses.
In the photographs, she flashed a dazzling new giant diamond ring that caught plenty of attention.

Amanda Knox reveals how Monica Lewinsky helped rebuild her life as they unite on red carpet for launch of new series

Amanda Knox has revealed how Monica Lewinsky became her mentor as she tried to rebuild her life after being exonerated in the death of of her roommate Meredith Kercher. The two women met at a speaking engagement in 2017, just two years after Italy 's highest court exonerated Knox and her one-time boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito in Kercher's murder. Knox told The Hollywood Reporter how she was nervous and had begged the event organizers to let her speak with Lewinsky in private. The former White House intern obliged, and even made Knox a pot of tea as she shared some guidance from her years trying to move past her sex scandal with then-President Bill Clinton. 'She had a lot of advice about reclaiming your voice and your narrative,' Knox said. 'That ended up being a turning point for me.' Years later, Knox shared her desire to tell her story on screen in an interview with The New York Times - and upon seeing it, Lewinsky jumped on board. Together, Lewinsky and Knox wound up assembling a creative team, including This Is Us executive producer K.J. Steinberg and famed producer Warren Littlefield, to create 'The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox,' a limited series for Hulu. After years of planning, Knox and Lewinsky celebrated the premiere of the show on the red carpet Tuesday. The 38-year-old exoneree stunned in a lacy white and orange gown, while Lewinsky, 52, opted for a stunning gold number with dangling earrings and her hair pulled back. Just hours earlier, Knox released the latest episode of her podcast, Hard Knox, in which she and Lewinsky spoke of the importance of telling the stories of those who survived scandal. Speaking of the decision, Lewinsky noted that she does not often pay attention to a story after it fades from headlines. 'I don't think about "How is this person rebuilding their life?"' she said, her voice cracking as she apparently started to tear up. But, she said, she thinks it is important to 'understand, as my therapist calls it, the long tale of trauma - and that it's not even just the person, but the collateral damage for people's families.' 'It's not the story of like, being a person and being gutted and then building your life back. 'And having to find yourself again,' Lewinsky said, noting that both of their scandals arose when they were in their 20s. 'You think you know everything, you think you know who you are and it's then ripped away from you,' she reflected. 'It's reconfigured and reflected back to you as a monster that you never saw yourself as, that you actually aren't.' During that time, Knox said, 'it's hard to remember that you have value as a human.' That is why, both women said, it was important for Knox to tell her story herself 'I think it's a better product because I was able to share really personal and intimate things about, you know, my life that wasn't just like a Hollywood gloss over reality,' Knox said. 'Like it becomes dirtier in a good way because it has all the messy humanity and you have all these scenes that I, you know, remember being in the writer's room being like, "This is an actual thing that has happened" and they were like, "You can't make this stuff up."' But the duo also sought to play on the 'anatomy of bias,' aiming to showcase how events unfold and are perceived through different people's perspectives. 'It's the way we story tell and it's the way we process a story in our own minds that is impacted by everything we're bringing to that moment that has been shaped by bias upon bias upon bias,' Lewinsky said. 'Every interaction that we have with a person is not just a straight interaction,' Knox added. 'It is colored by the context that we all carry. 'All of us are little universes inside of ourselves and we collide with each other,' she said. The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox airs on Hulu, and stars Grace Van Patten in the titular role.

Lana Del Rey reveals wedding memento ahead of first anniversary with alligator tour guide husband

Lana Del Rey revealed a rare wedding memento ahead of her first anniversary with alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene on September 26. The 40-year-old Abyss singer shared a snap of an ornate rose pin as well as a white lace doily that was red-stitched with their first initials 'L & J' for their big day. Lana (born Elizabeth Grant) posted a glimpse at her wedding ring as well as her substantial thigh gap, which many believe came courtesy of a trendy GLP-1 weight-loss drug. Del Rey - who boasts 65.9M social media followers - also shared a blurry snap of the 50-year-old father-of-three's airboat that he regularly captains in Louisiana. The 11-time Grammy nominee and Jeremy reportedly obtained their marriage license on September 23, but it's unclear if they ever signed a prenuptial agreement to protect her reported $60M fortune. 'I'm grateful for him for [my producer Jack Antonoff's] example that he gave me in his marriage to Margaret [Qualley]. I saw the way he looked at her when he met her, and he's a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband,' Lana gushed at a Variety event on December 7. 'I really feel like there's kind of a singer's curse around meeting an honest partner who has no skin in the game, no dog in the race. And it's super nerve-racking to have to hold onto an innocent perception of how things could go when you're in an industry where maybe your values or your morals don't quite match up with what's going on. Especially when people think that you probably don't have any morals or values.' Del Rey has known Dufrene as far back as 2019 when he let her 'captain' his airboat during a cruise with Arthur's Airboat Tours, which hosted the couple's nuptials on the bayou of Des Allemandes. Speaking of Jack, the Manhattan-born belter has teased three tracks - 57.5, Bluebird, and Henry, Come On - off her upcoming 10th studio album and first country record, which is rumored to be called Lasso. Last Thursday, Lana shared a snippet of 'Track 13' which her fans are already nicknaming 'All About Ethel' as it appears to be a diss track aimed at Ethel Cain. 'Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post / Thinks it's cute reenactin' my Chicago pose / Hard to roll in slow motion / Hard to say no to cau-caution / Hard to stop when it's like an ocean / Not afraid to say I'm goin' down in flames,' Del Rey sang. 'The most famous girl at the Waffle House / I don't regret it / The most famous girl at the Waffle House.' That same day, the self-described 'anti-feminist' accused the 27-year-old trans woman of fat-shaming her by posting 'graphic side-by-side images' and 'making constant comments about my weight.' 'I didn't know who Ethel was until a few years ago,' Lana explained in a since-deleted comment on Pop Base's Instagram. 'I was confused at what she was getting at. Then when I heard what she was saying behind closed doors from mutual friends and started inserting herself into my personal life I was definitely disturbed.' Last Thursday, Lana shared a snippet of 'Track 13' which her fans are already nicknaming 'All About Ethel' as it appears to be a diss track aimed at Ethel Cain That same day, the self-described 'anti-feminist' accused the 27-year-old trans woman of fat-shaming her by posting 'graphic side-by-side images' and 'making constant comments about my weight' On Thursday, Ethel Instastoried an update: 'Lana Del Rey has blocked Ethel Cain on Instagram.' Del Rey's lyric referencing her 'Chicago pose' was aimed at Cain (born Hayden Silas Anhedönia) for copying her while posing next to her ex-boyfriend, Salem member Jack Donoghue, at a dam in 2021. The Golden Globe-nominated songwriter's lyric about Waffle House was referring to a 2022 New York Times profile on the autistic, homeschooled Zoomer which they headlined 'The Most Famous Girl at the Waffle House.' Ethel isn't having the best summer considering she just penned a 2K-word apology for resurfaced tweets where she wrote the N-word and referred to 'building the wall' and 'legalizing incest' and drawing child pornography. 'To try and sum everything up, no I am not a violent misogynist fetishizing the "female experience,"' Cain wrote via Google doc on July 9. 'No I am not the creator of child pornography, nor am I a pedophile, a zoophile, or a porn-addicted incest fetishist. I urge you to recognize the patterns of a transphobic/otherwise targeted smear campaign, especially in this political day and age.' The 5ft8in IMG Model will next bring her 63-date Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour to the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in LA this Wednesday and Thursday.

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox review – shockingly tense TV from Knox and Monica Lewinsky

Two things need to be borne in mind about The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, a new true crime drama. The first is that Knox and Monica Lewinsky – both members of 'The Sisterhood of Ill Repute', as Knox has described them in the past – are executive producers of the show. The second is that the family of Meredith Kercher, the 21-year-old British exchange student with whose murder Knox and others were charged in 2007, were not involved in the series. Her sister Stephanie said last year to the Guardian: 'Our family has been through so much and it is difficult to understand how this serves any purpose.' To the first point: it is undoubtedly true that the subject of The Twisted Tale is Knox and her survival of an extraordinary and extraordinarily awful experience, and while not hagiographic, it is not a warts-and-all profile either. Then again, how much warts-and-all can there be for an ordinary 20-year-old excited to be studying abroad – in Perugia, Italy – for the first time? If you set aside the salacious narrative built up around her by a rabid press and fuelled by the preconceived prosecutorial notions around the crime, that is what she was. To the second: the grief of the Kercher family, and their enduring loss, is a terrible thing. But the purpose of the series is clear – to show how this particular miscarriage of justice took place and, by implication, how different forces, prejudices and appetites can combine to bring them about in general. It is designed to give the lie to the appealing notion that justice is always blind and its administrators are always beacons of rectitude, shining light into the darkness of depraved people's souls. Over the course of eight dense and often extremely tense episodes, writer KJ Steinberg (best known for This Is Us) maps out Knox's long journey from first arrest for her flatmate's murder to eventual exoneration, via wrongful conviction, four years in prison and multiple trials. The outlines of the case are probably remembered by many of us of an age to have followed the headlines and articles that proliferated at the time, and the series does a good job of illustrating each pivotal point as it arises (the initial misstep in establishing the time of death, for example. Similarly, the misinterpretation of the English phrase 'See you later' as meaning definite plans to meet had been established between Knox and her initially co-accused, Patrick Lumumba, reminiscent of the very British 'I popped him on the bed' expression misconstrued by a US audience in the Louise Woodward trial), while a propulsive energy keeps the whole narrative going. Strenuous efforts are made to humanise public prosecutor Giuliano Mignini (Francesco Acquaroli), who led the murder investigation as a man led astray by his passionate sense of duty and frustration over his experience of pursuing the infamous Monster of Florence serial killer. His subordinates are given shorter shrift, and remain ciphers who are portrayed as having taken against Knox on a whim then found more and more things to be disgusted by, such as her public displays of affection with her boyfriend and later co-accused Raffaele Sollecito, and the vibrator in her washbag. Perhaps the most shocking part of the story is the fact that Knox's ordeal continued even after the trial and conviction of Rudy Guede, the man whose fingerprints and DNA (unlike that of Knox, Lumumba and Sollecito) were all over the crime scene. Or perhaps the most shocking part is that his name hardly resonates in the public consciousness, while 'Foxy Knoxy' still has such potency. The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox has its flaws. The mannered, Wes Anderson-lite openings to each episode sit uneasily with the harrowing hours to which they give way and the script – particularly in those openings – can be dreadful. 'We were just getting to know our young selves in this charmed and ancient city,' says Knox in a voiceover early on. And later: 'Does truth actually exist if no one believes it?' At one point, investigator Monica (Roberta Mattei) describes Knox providing 'unsolicited information in crude American spasms'. Fortunately, the main parts are held together by an unreservedly brilliant performance by Grace Van Patten as Knox, in English and Italian (halting at first, fluent by the end of Knox's incarceration), the ebullient, naive, overconfident, shattered young woman caught in so many currents and cross-currents it seems a miracle that she ever made it back to shore. The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is on Disney+ now
