Ange Postecoglou's chances of being next Scotland manager rated as he's tipped to join Euro giants after Spurs sacking
ANGE Postecoglou remains an available man since his departure from Tottenham Hotspur last week.
The former Celtic manager was sacked by Spurs after finishing 17th in the Premier League, despite winning the Europa League to claim the club's first major trophy in 17 years.

The London side are looking likely to appoint Brentford boss Thomas Frank to replace the Australian, but what's next for him?
AceOdds have unveiled their odds on where the 59-year-old might find himself next, with a few surprising shouts.
Pressure is growing on Steve Clarke after a dismal Hampden performance against Iceland, with only an injury hampered friendly against Liechtenstein tonight to make up for it.
And the probability of Postecoglou landing the Scotland job sits at 6/1.

Only two dugout roles are rated more likely for him, the first being a Socceroos return at 5/1.
He won the AFC Asian Cup with his home country and managed at the 2014 World Cup, but resigned before Russia 2018.
The favourite however is a 3/1 shout for Ange to takeover the Greek giants AEK Athens.
The 13-time league winners finished fourth this season as Olympiacos ran away with it.

A Celtic return isn't rated too unlikely at 10/1, despite Brendan Rodgers showing no signs of leaving after a comfortable League and League Cup double.
However, the Northern Irishman has come under scrutiny from supporters for losing key matches including Old Firm derbies and the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen to sink the treble.
Who could replace Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham manager?
The Aussie was a favourite at Parkhead between 2021 and 2023, with his five major titles earning him the huge EPL move.
In a bizarre call, Glasgow rivals Rangers are on the list of potential options at 33/1.

Ibrox bosses just last week appointed former Southampton gaffer Russell Martin on a three-year contract.
Another unlikely side listed amongst possibilities for Postecoglou is the England national team.
The Three Lions have only played a handful of matches under relatively new head coach Thomas Tuchel who took over from Gareth Southgate at the start of the year.
Several other clubs down south are named as options as well as the potential of joining 'any Saudi Pro League club'.

Luke Littler has Luke Humphries backing as English stars target glory in Germany
The two rivals will join forces in the 15th edition of the PDC event, which gets under way in Frankfurt on Thursday. Littler had previously claimed in April he would skip tournaments in Germany after being booed in Munich and Berlin that month, having faced similar treatment in September following defeat by Peter Wright in the German Championship final in Hildesheim. Defending champions England have been unveiled as the 4/11 pre-tournament favourites for the @BetVictor World Cup of Darts ahead of the annual 40-nation event. — PDC Darts (@OfficialPDC) June 4, 2025 But Premier League champion Humphries, who clinched World Cup success with Michael Smith last June, said: 'It's just about not getting involved in the crowd isn't it? 'We've just got to make sure that if they're on his back, I'll be there to say, 'don't worry about what they're doing, focus on your game' and if we play against Germany that's going to be hard but I think he'll learn from the occasions of playing against crowds that are hostile. 'I've been there, I've had it a little bit before and you just have to focus on the game and not worry about what is going on behind you.' Even though Littler has struggled with German crowds, Humphries plans to send the 18-year-old out to throw first when they begin their campaign in the second round on Saturday. 'I will probably put him first,' Humphries revealed. 'He is definitely the best scorer in the world. That's not a lie, it's obvious. So, you're going to put your strengths forward. You put him first, he is probably better at going for the bullseye than I am, getting the throws. A post shared by Luke TheNuke Littler (@lukethenukelittler) 'Yeah, only if he's comfortable with it. If not, I'll go first but I played the anchor role last year. 'I felt really good going second, so maybe that is my role for this year as well.' Victory for Humphries and Smith at Eissporthalle last summer was England's first World Cup win since 2016. It ensured Humphries enjoyed a triumphant World Cup debut and he is sure Littler will experience the same. Humphries added: 'As you saw when we won, the emotion that comes out of you, you don't expect it but it does because you're just so buzzing. 'It's really special and he will understand. He may even feel a little bit nervous at the start, or for the first game we play because all eyes are on us, everyone will be expecting us to be powerful every game we play. 'But I did say to him, it doesn't matter how we play as long as we win the trophy, that's what really matters. It will be a special feeling for him, as it was for me.'

Emma Raducanu makes short work of opening win at Queen's
The 22-year-old, who secured a first doubles victory with partner Katie Boulter on Monday, revealed before the tournament – the first time Queen's has hosted women's tennis in 52 years – that she was still managing ongoing back issues, playing down expectations for this WTA 500 event, boasting a £1million prize pot. But wild card Raducanu was in fine form on Tuesday afternoon on centre court – the day before inaugurated as the Andy Murray Arena – where she dispatched Bucsa in just one hour and four minutes, much to the delight of the home crowd who were behind the 2021 US Open champion the whole way. 'I must say I was quite locked in today,' Raducanu said on court. 'I'm very pleased with my performance. I was a little bit nervous for sure at the beginning, it's my first time playing on this court at Queen's in London, and the support is incredible. 'I'm still trying to find my groove on this surface, there are certain shots that I feel like I am a little bit late on, so I'm working on that. 'I knew today was going to be a very difficult match. I actually lost to Cristina earlier on in the year, so I was really trying to fight and make sure that didn't happen again. 'I was really trying to fight and get myself into the second round, because I just want to stay here playing at Queen's as many matches as I possibly can.' This was Raducanu's first appearance on the west London venue's marquee stage after making her Queen's debut on the smaller Court One on Monday with British number one Boulter. The latter also punched her ticket to the second round but in much grittier fashion, battling to a 7-6 (4) 1-6 6-4 victory over Australian qualifier Ajla Tomljanovic. 'When I walked out it actually surpassed what I thought it would feel like when I kind of imagined it,' said Boulter, adding: 'I think it's very easy to get caught up in just trying to get your first grass court match, also coming to such an historic venue as well, which holds a lot of purpose and a lot of familiar feelings when I've come here before.' Earlier, Heather Watson set up a second-round meeting with fourth seed and former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina after upsetting world number 27 Yulia Putintseva, 107 places above her in the rankings, 6-4 6-3. Former British number one Watson won all four of her break points to see off her Kazakh opponent in an hour and 22 minutes. All smiles at @QueensTennis for @HeatherWatson92 🤗#BackTheBrits 🇬🇧 | #HSBCChampionships — LTA (@the_LTA) June 10, 2025 Tuesday's results ensured four Britons qualified for the round of 16 after Sonay Kartal set up a meeting with American eighth seed Amanda Anisimova by beating Daria Kasatkina 6-1 3-6 6-3 on Monday. It was not to be for British wildcard Fran Jones, however, who was defeated in straight 6-2 6-4 sets by American McCartney Kessler, while the other all-British pair in the doubles draw, Kartel and Jodie Burrage, were knocked out in a nervy 7-6 (8) 7-6 (1) defeat to Lyudmyla Kichenok and Erin Routliffe.
