Kate, who lives in an incredible north London home, filmed a video inside one room on the upper floor as she explained her dilemma.
The Big Brother alum pulled on a blue top and styled her blonde hair in loose waves as she spoke to the camera and asked her Instagram followers: "Would you go mad if your neighbour painted the back of your shed?"
She continued: "The reason I ask is because I've painted the back of my neighbour's shed and I didn't ask her.
"She's gone mad. She's not happy at all."
In her video caption, Kate added further detail to the difficult scenario.
She added: "Why do I always get myself in these situations?
"I'm in trouble with my neighbour for painting the back of their shed a different colour.
"Won't be doing it again as in hindsight I know I should have asked first, but I didn't think it would be a big deal given that they can't see it?
"It has made me wonder though… Would you be annoyed if you discovered the back of your shed (which you couldn't see) had been painted by the neighbour whose garden backed on to yours?
"Have you had a similar fall out with your neighbour? Basically, am I an a***hole and should I buy them flowers and a box of milk tray to apologise?"
Kate Lawler suffers TV Baftas wardobe blunder as she models crotchless Skims ahead of star-studded ceremony
In the comments section, the radio presenter's fans were hugely divided.
One simply posted: "I'd be furious."
A second put: "Mmmmmm it's her shed so yeh she has the right to kick off bab soz."
A third then wrote: "To be fair I've just paid nearly £600 for my shed and wouldn't want someone painting it without asking so I can see why she's fed up … it's her property."
Yet others took the opposing stance, and one wrote: "Wouldn't care less if I couldn't see it but yea suppose u should of asked first love u bubs xxx."
Another joked: "I'd love it! ..you're the famous Kate Lawler! That's like having a Banksy on your shed."
A third confessed: "This is so similar to an issue we have. And I'm sorry, but that woman shouldn't care. She can't see it.
"It doesn't affect her at all. People are just creating something for no reason now."
Later on, she took to her Stories for another video to apologise to her neighbour after realising what she had done was "illegal" and tantamount to "trespassing."
She added: "WARNING! Do not lean into your neighbours garden and paint the back of their shed / fence or anything as it's actually illegal. It's considered trespassing or vandalism, which I genuinely didn't realise I at the time.
"So like I suggested in my previous video, I'm going to buy them a sorry present and apologise. Sorry if I offended you in my actions too.
"Just remember what Albert Einstein once said…. The man who never made any mistakes never made anything. x"
SLIP UP
The chaos came just days after Kate shared her TV BAFTAs wardrobe malfunction.
The Big Brother alum turned broadcaster poked fun at herself after she ordered a flesh-coloured undergarment from Kim Kardashian 's shapewear brand, SKIMS.
Kate took to her Instagram grid to post a picture showing her pulling on the one-piece, with the title: "Is everyone's SKIMS underwear like this?"
The clip saw the reality TV star pulling on the "tight" nude bodysuit.
Kate, who went make-up free with her hair pulled up in a bun, said: "I can't breathe" before noting a "camel's hoof" due to the fabric crunching up.
She then confessed: "Can't work out if I've torn the crotch or if there's a pee hole in there."

Dragonfly review – haunting, genre-defying drama of lonely city living

Twenty years ago, Paul Andrew Williams announced himself as a smart new British talent with his ferocious gangland picture London to Brighton, and his creativity has continued in film and TV ever since. His new film is a haunted, social-realist drama with elements of Mike Leigh but also moments of thriller and even horror. Williams isn't shy of stabbing us with an old-fashioned jump scare towards the end, which in fact challenges the audiences with its refusal of categorisation. There are two superb lead performances from Andrea Riseborough and Brenda Blethyn and an outstanding supporting turn from Jason Watkins. Dragonfly is about loneliness and alienation and about the eternal mystery of other people, the fear of intimacy and the unknowable existence of urban neighbours. Elsie, played by Blethyn, is an older woman who is quite capable of independent living in her bungalow, but a recent fall and an injured wrist has meant that her middle-aged son (Watkins), all too obviously to compensate for not visiting that often, has paid for daily visits from a private agency nurses. They are overworked and not doing an especially good job. Really, she doesn't need these nurses and by enduring them, Elsie is shouldering the burden of her son's guilt. Meanwhile nextdoor neighbour Colleen, played by Riseborough, is a continuingly strange presence. She is a melancholy, withdrawn figure, evidently on benefits and living with her huge American bull terrier, uncompromisingly named Sabre. Williams shows us that she is effectively living in a kind of platonic relationship, or mariage blanc, with this dog; the film periodically gives us startling shots of Sabre's colossal body in a kind of domestic nakedness sprawled on Colleen's bed. In a manner that may be insidious or predatory or just friendly and compassionate, Colleen befriends Elsie; the latter overcomes her initial nervousness of Sabre and she appreciates Colleen's forthright offer of help. Colleen goes down to the shops to get groceries for Elsie and after a few such trips they agree that what would be easiest would be if Colleen simply gets Elsie's debit card and Elsie gives her the pin number. Of course, the film allows us to suspect the worst and then suspect the worst of ourselves for suspecting it. Colleen seems to be unhappy and damaged but well-meaning, especially when she (for a laugh) buys them both a two-way radio so they can easily keep in contact – but then uses this radio to talk to Elsie late at night and semi-intentionally to allow bewildered Elsie to hear what's happening in Colleen's house. It is a riveting dual portrait of two gloomy people who really have, in a strange and dysfunctional way, found a new way of interacting and – importantly – this is a triangular relationship: Elsie, Colleen and the vast Sabre. But with a terrible inevitability, Elsie's uptight busybody son John (Watkins) arrives and there are awful consequences to a conversation he has with Colleen which Williams only shows us in long shot, withholding the truth about what he's saying. It's a stark, fierce, wonderfully acted film. Dragonfly screened at the Tribeca film festival.

Sue Cleaver reflects on '25 years of laughs' after Coronation Street exit

Eileen Grimshaw had a special send-off during Friday's episode of the soap, where she was seen leaving for Thailand alongside her son Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. A post shared by Sue Cleaver (@officialsuecleaver) 'I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Cleaver has played the outspoken and uncomplicated Eileen in the ITV show since 2000. Eileen came to Weatherfield to work at the local taxi firm, Streetcars, to provide for her two tearaway teenage children, Jason and Todd. She soon became friends with her boss Steve and came into conflict with Helen Worth's character Gail Rodwell (also known as Gail Platt). Cleaver took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother, and was eliminated third. She also said her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Worth who is godmother to one of her half-sisters, while her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, she released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime. In recent years she has appeared as a panellist on ITV chat show Loose Women.
