Kannada TV actor Sreedhar Naik passes away after prolonged illness
The Kannada television industry mourns the loss of veteran actor Sreedhar Naik, who passed away on the night of May 26 at 10 PM after a prolonged illness. He had been under medical care for several months, but despite continued treatment, his condition worsened and ultimately led to his passing.
His mortal remains have been placed at Baptist Hospital, Hebbal, for public viewing until 11 AM today, following which his last rites will be performed.
Sreedhar Naik earned popularity through his memorable performances in television serials like "Paaru" and "Vadhu", winning hearts with his powerful screen presence. He also appeared in the film "Max" and had carved a niche for himself with his versatile acting skills.
In recent months, the actor's health had visibly declined. Images of his physical transformation due to illness had left his fans and the television fraternity shocked; the once lively and expressive actor appeared frail and almost unrecognizable.
More than just an actor, Sreedhar Naik was a multi-talented artist. He contributed to the industry in numerous capacities, as a makeup artist, television anchor, acting and voice trainer, and theatre instructor.
