PKR'S digital platform virtual campaigns convey message
Rafizi said that PKR's strength on social media has always been an advantage in reaching not only party members at the grassroots level, but also the people who support the party's struggle.
'Every night, over 20,000 views are recorded for the virtual campaign sessions. This is not an election season, just a party election, yet this response shows that our message is getting through.
'What is important is that the message resonates with the core base of PKR ordinary members, representatives, and the people who support us,' he said.
He said this to reporters after speaking at the Program Tour to Revive Reformasi Idealism in Power Test (HIRUK) Zone of Kelantan and Terengganu at the National Department of Culture and Arts (JKKN) Complex in Kelantan, Tanjong Chat, here tonight.
Meanwhile, commenting on the statement from the PKR Discipline Board urging all candidates and supporters to stop personal attacks, Rafizi said that this matter should be taken positively by all candidates.
He stated that any allegations of disciplinary violations should be submitted through the available channels and investigated fairly by the party's Discipline Board.
Also present was the Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
The PKR elections will see a one-on-one contest for the Deputy President's position between Nurul Izzah and Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, while the party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim remains unchallenged.
The PKR National Congress, including the Youth and Women's Congress, is scheduled to take place from May 22 to 24 in Johor Bahru, with the election of central leadership held on May 23.

PKR sec-gen to be consulted on objection letter
PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he would consult PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh on Umno's letter objecting to the admission of its former members into other parties within the unity government. 'We received the letter some time ago. I will check with the secretary-general,' he said after attending the Finance Ministry's monthly assembly yesterday. On Aug 17, PKR information chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil confirmed receipt of the letter, adding that the party's central leadership council was expected to deliberate on it by the end of the month. His application was formally accepted by the PKR leadership last month. Several Umno leaders had previously urged PKR not to admit the former finance minister, arguing that it would undermine trust among coalition partners. Earlier, in his address at the assembly, Anwar defended the appointment of Datuk M. Kumar as Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director, stressing that it is not a racial issue but one based on merit and the individual's ability to shoulder responsibility. 'There were even criticisms in Parliament, with some opposition MPs questioning how nearly 90% of personnel in the police's criminal division are Malays. 'Their chief is Kumar, an Indian. Whoever is capable should be given the space. The IGP is Malay, the deputy IGP is Malay and most of the directors are Malay. To me, this is not an issue.'

Ismail Sabri denies any link to attack on Rafizi's son
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic) is denying any claims on social media that he is involved in the attack on Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli's son. In a statement on Wednesday (Aug 19), the former prime minister said that a police report was made over the allegations on Facebook. "On Aug 18, my press secretary made a police report at the Dang Wangi police station over two articles on Facebook that claim I was involved in the attack on Rafizi's son as well as a scandal involving a private company. "A report was lodged with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Facebook. "The articles are false and malicious, meant to besmirch my reputation and name," he said. He also urged authorities to take action against those responsible. "I have also instructed my lawyer to take legal action on those involved," he said. Ismail files reports over posts linking him to attack on Rafizi's son
Former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the contents of the Facebook postings were completely untrue and maliciously intended to damage his reputation and good name. PETALING JAYA : Former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has filed reports with the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission over a Facebook page linking him to the attack on Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli's son. An aide filed a report at the Dang Wangi police headquarters on Aug 18 over two alleged defamatory articles implicating him in the incident and a scandal involving a private company. 'A report has also been filed with MCMC and Facebook so that immediate action can be taken against the page and its administrator or owner,' the former Umno vice-president said in a statement. Ismail said the contents of the postings were 'completely untrue and maliciously intended to damage my reputation and good name'. He urged the authorities to carry out a thorough investigation and take firm action against the owner or administrator of the Facebook page, as well as anyone spreading the postings concerned. 'I have also instructed my lawyers to take further legal action against those involved. 'I thank Rafizi for his explanation on the matter.' Rafizi's 12-year-old son was attacked at a shopping mall in Putrajaya last week. Rafizi said CCTV footage showed that two men, dressed in black with their faces fully covered by helmets, had followed his wife's car on a motorcycle. His son, who was dragged and stabbed with a syringe, was rushed to hospital for treatment and a check-up. The assailants escaped. The former economy minister said he suspected the attack was planned, and that his wife was likely observed by the assailants for a few days before the incident. He also believed it was a warning for him not to speak out on certain issues. Earlier today, Rafizi denied claims linking Ismail and former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin to the attack on his son. The former PKR deputy president said there were allegations a week before the attack that information was provided by a whistleblower about a money laundering case supposedly involving Ismail. He said there were also claims the information concerned projects linked to Khairy during his time in the health ministry.
