Kyle Walker ends 8-year spell with Man City by moving to Burnley
The 35-year-old Walker joins an American-owned team that has just been promoted to the Premier League and is coached by Scott Parker, his former Tottenham and England teammate.

Walker has been a great at City, winning six league titles and the Champions League since his 2017 move from Spurs, but lost his place in the team last season and went on loan to AC Milan. He kept his place in the England squad, though, playing in the team's last game — a 3-1 loss to Senegal last month — to move onto 96 caps.
'When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was an opportunity I jumped at," said Walker, who has signed a two-year deal. "He's done an amazing job here, guiding the club back to the Premier League with a 100-point haul, and now we're looking forward, together, at being back in the greatest league in the world.
'Burnley had a tremendous campaign last season, built on an incredible defensive record, and I can't wait to come in and add my experience and quality to what looks an exciting squad.'

Benjamin Sesko: Transfer underway with United set to ignite negotiations

Today, United have stepped up their efforts to get a deal over the line. Negotiations are underway Florian Plettenberg confirmed this morning that United are set to enter talks with RB Leipzig over Sesko's signing. 'New negotiations between RB Leipzig and Manchester United are already scheduled for this morning, aimed at reaching an agreement over Benjamin #Sesko,' Plettenberg posted on X. 'It's not an easy deal, but it's understood that all parties remain optimistic that the transfer to Manchester United will go through.' Jan Aage Fjørtoft confirmed this news, posting on X: 'Today marks a pivotal moment in the Benjamin Šeško transfer saga -the much-anticipated D-Day. All signs now point toward Šeško ending up at Manchester United, although negotiations remain active. Both clubs are currently in Leipzig, engaging in face-to-face talks, trying to persuade all parties involved – with personal contact playing a key role in these final stages.' Esteemed football journalist Fabrizio Romano has also chimed in. 'Manchester United and RB Leipzig, back in talks today for Benjamin Šeško deal to agree on final package,' Romano posted on X. 'Šeško agreed personal terms yesterday and will train separately until deal is done between clubs.' Given these updates, it appears as if it is only a matter of time before United manager Ruben Amorim can add Sesko to his lineup. Family praise club legends after hospice visit
The family of a terminally ill man have spoken of their gratitude after Rotherham United club legends Ronnie Moore and John Breckin paid a visit to his hospice. Wayne Ryalls, 67, was visited by the duo at Rotherham Hospice within hours of his niece approaching the club to see if they might be able to arrange a card. Jodi Ryalls said her uncle, who has been diagnosed with cancer, had been a lifelong fan and had enjoyed taking his son and grandson to matches. She added: "Once a Miller always a Miller, they spent more than an hour with him, chatting like old friends. He cried his eyes out." Moore, had two spells as manager of Rotherham, winning two promotions, and also played for them more than 100 times. It was revealed recently he had been diagnosed with myeloma, an incurable form of blood cancer. Breckin, who is a an ambassador for the hospice, made more than 400 appearances for Rotherham between 1971 and 1983 and also had a short stint as manager. Ms Ryalls said: "Within an hour or two [of contacting the club] the two legends were at my uncle's bedside. We were astounded by it. "We're ever, ever so grateful, especially given what Ronnie Moore is going through as well." She said the surprise visit had happened so quickly she had been unable to attend but said Mr Ryall's son, Matt, had told her it had "made his dad's life complete". The club said Millers "really do look out for one another". "It is our strong belief that we have a responsibility to repay supporters like Wayne when the opportunities present themselves and we hope that this small gesture went some way to doing that," a spokesperson for the side said. Fermin Lopez chase faces complications as rivals enter the scene
Manchester United are set to face competition from Premier League rivals for a midfield target. Transfer flurry After securing the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, the Red Devils fixed their sights on a striker. It seems that United have made excellent progress on a deal for Red Bull Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and it is only a matter of time before he signs for the club. Midfield targets United have already moved on to midfield targets and there were huge reports on Wednesday that United had begun talks with Brighton and Hove Albion over Carlos Baleba. Ruben Amorim's side have also been linked to the likes of Atalanta's Ederson and Sporting CP's Morten Hjulmand. Fermin Lopez chase Another midfielder who has long been on United's radar is FC Barcelona's Fermin Lopez. United have reportedly already had a bid turned down for the Spaniard and there are a host of Premier League clubs interested in him, mainly Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool. The website reports that 'Chelsea are understood to be preparing a bid in the region of €60m for Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, who is also on Manchester United's radar.' It has been confirmed by sources that the Blues are not done yet in the window and have a 'strong interest' in the player. Lopez has had offers from Saudi Arabia but he is reportedly keen to stay in Europe at this stage of his career. The report adds that, 'Fermin is not desperate to leave Barcelona, but the Catalan giants have well-documented financial problems, which could mean they'd have to consider a sale for the right price.' It is also suggested that the board is split on what to do with him but that a 'substantial offer' would be required for the Catalans to sanction a sale.
