Google Pixel 10 price leaked ahead of August launch

India Today13-07-2025
Pixel fans, are you ready for the next-gen phones? While Google is keeping the details under wraps, the rumours and leaks have covered it all. And now it looks like Google's next-gen smartphones are sticking to familiar territory when it comes to pricing. According to a tipster, Roland Quandt of WinFuture, the entire Pixel 10 lineup in Europe will carry the exact same price tags as the Pixel 9 series. So, if you were hoping for a surprise discount or bracing for a price hike, well, neither is happening.advertisementGoogle Pixel 10 lineup prices (leaked)At the top end of the price pyramid is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google's sleek foldable flagship, which may start at 1,899 (around Rs 1,72,000) for the 256GB version and go all the way up to 2,289 (around Rs 2,07,500) for the 1TB variant. That top-tier storage option is new this year, a bit of added luxury, if you can afford it.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro XL has seen a subtle reshuffle. While prices remain identical to the Pixel 9 Pro XL, Google has removed the base 128GB model. Now, the Pro XL starts at 256GB for 1,299 (around Rs 1,17,700), followed by 512GB at 1,429 (approximately Rs 1,29,500), and a massive 1TB at 1,689 (around Rs 1,53,100). Technically, that does mean the entry point for the XL model has gone up, but only because the cheapest version is no longer part of the family.
As for the standard Pixel 10, prices begin at 899 (around Rs 81,500) for 128GB and go up to 999 (around Rs 90,600) for the 256GB version. The Pixel 10 Pro remains the versatile middle child with four storage options: 128GB at 1,099 (around Rs 99,500), 256GB at 1,199 (approx Rs 1,08,500), 512GB at 1,329 (around Rs 1,20,200), and the maxed-out 1TB model at 1,589 (around Rs 1,44,200).In short, if you already memorised last year's Pixel 9 pricing, congratulations! You're fully prepared for this year's launch. The only real shakeups are the storage changes on the XL and Fold variants. If you were swayed by that earlier rumour claiming the Fold would be cheaper this time? Yeah, that one's officially debunked. While Google seems to be keeping things steady in Europe, it's still unclear if the US and other global markets will see price adjustments. That said, the Indian market usually mimics the same as Europe. Google Pixel Buds 2a may get a price hikeInterestingly, while phones remain flat on the pricing graph, Google's next-gen earbuds are getting a bit more expensive. The upcoming Pixel Buds 2a, which surfaced earlier this month, are set to launch at 149 (approx Rs 13,500), a noticeable bump from the original Pixel Buds A-Series, which retailed for 109 (around Rs 9,800). That's a roughly Rs 3,700 jump, which might sting a little for budget-conscious audiophiles.Google Pixel 10 lineup: Expected launch The speculation is that Google will follow the tradition of launching its flagship series in August. The Google Pixel 10 lineup is expected to launch in August. - Ends

China PM warns against a global AI 'monopoly'

China PM warns against a global AI 'monopoly' China will spearhead the creation of an international organisation to jointly develop AI, the country's premier said, seeking to ensure that the world-changing technology doesn't become the province of just a few nations or companies. Artificial intelligence harbours risks from widespread job losses to economic upheaval that require nations to work together to address, Premier Li Qiang told the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai on Saturday. That means more international exchanges, Beijing's No 2 official said during China's most important annual technology summit. Li didn't name any countries in his short address to kick off the event. But Chinese executives and officials have taken aim at Washington's efforts to curtail the Asian country's tech sector, including by slapping restrictions on the export of Nvidia chips crucial to AI development. On Saturday, Li acknowledged a shortage of semiconductors was a major bottleneck, but reaffirmed President Xi Jinping's call to establish policies to propel Beijing's ambitions. The govt will now help create a body - loosely translated as the World AI Cooperation Organization - through which countries can share insights and talent. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The Most Beautiful Female Athletes Right Now Undo "Currently, key resources and capabilities are concentrated in a few countries and a few enterprises. If we engage in technological monopoly, controls and restrictions, AI will become an exclusive game for a small number of countries and enterprises," Li told hundreds of delegates huddled at the conference venue on the banks of Shanghai's iconic Huangpu river. China and the US are locked in a race to develop a technology with the potential to turbocharge economies and - over the long run - tip the balance of geopolitical power. This week, US President Donald Trump signed executive orders to loosen regulations and expand energy supplies for data centers - a call to arms to ensure companies like OpenAI and Google help safeguard America's lead in the post-ChatGPT era. At the same time, the breakout success of DeepSeek has inspired Chinese tech leaders and startups to accelerate research and roll out AI products. The weekend conference in Shanghai - gathering star founders, Beijing officials and deep-pocketed financiers by the thousands - is designed to catalyze that movement. The event, which has featured Elon Musk and Jack Ma in years past, was launched in 2018. This year's attendance may hit a record because it's taking place at a critical juncture in the global race to lead GenAI development. It's already drawn some notable figures: Nobel Prize laureate Geoffrey Hinton and former Google chief Eric Schmidt were among heavyweights who met Shanghai party boss Chen Jining Thursday, before they were due to speak at the event.
