In the men's singles, Taylor Fritz is seeking a fourth Eastbourne title in six attempts as the big-serving American continues his love affair with the East Sussex coast.
Fritz will face compatriot Jenson Brooksby in the final. The former was taken to three sets by Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a titanic battle, while Brooksby overcame fourth seed Ugo Humbert, also in three.

The women's singles has been total chaos, with seeds falling from the opening day when defending champion Daria Kasatkina lost. In the final qualifier Alexandra Eala will face Maya Joint. Rising star Joint beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the straight sets in the semi-final, while Eala overcame Varvara Gracheva in the battle of the qualifiers.
Saturday's finals are mouthwatering.

First up is Maya Joint against Alexandra Eala in the women's final. Australian joint is a rising star and will start as favorite, having beaten Emma Raducanu earlier in the week, but Eala has upset seeds already in her run through qualifying all the way to the main draw final.
In the men's final that follows, Taylor Fritz seeks his fourth Eastbourne title in six attempts against fellow American Jenson Brooksby. Top seed Fritz will look to use his shot-making prowess to get on the front foot and continue his fine pre-Wimbledon form. Brooksby has the serve to do some damage, though.

Liverpool 'to make formal offer' for Alexander Isak this week as £65.5m Luis Diaz transfer is agreed
Liverpool have agreed a deal that is expected to help fund a bid for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. The Reds have already bolstered their attack with the signing of Hugo Ekitike but remain interested in bringing Isak, who scored 23 Premier League goals last season, to the club this summer. Despite approaching Newcastle over signing of the Sweden international for around £120million, the reigning champions of England were quickly told that the striker was not for sale. However, the transfer saga took a stunning twist last week when Isak asked to leave Newcastle and was subsequently left out of the squad that travelled to Asia for the pre-season tour. Now, the Magpies are bracing themselves for a formal offer from Liverpool for Isak this week. According to reports, the Merseyside giants have been given the green light to launch a bid for the striker as Luis Diaz's exit is imminent. Liverpool have agreed to sell the Colombia international to Bayern Munich for a fee said to be in the region of £65.5m. The money from the sale is expected to fund a bid for Isak. While the message from the Newcastle hierarchy has been they want to keep their best players, if Liverpool's offer approaches £150m mark and Isak pushes to leave St James' Park then that stance could soften. Regardless of the outcome, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is well aware his side must strengthen after missing out on a number of key targets - including Ekitike. This doesn't mean that Liverpool won't sign him, merely that given it's a deal of huge magnitude, it's going to take a long time to iron out the details. With Joe Gomez travelling back home from pre-season due to an injury, it has exposed a great need at centre-back for the Reds. Liverpool have already lost Jarell Quansah this summer, and they now have just two senior centre-back on tour in pre-season in Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk. This has seen Slot play Luca Stephenson, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas at centre-back. It's becoming very apparent after the four goals conceded against AC Milan that this situation is not tenable going into the season. Liverpool need more depth in the centre-back positions, especially considering Konate and Gomez are both injury prone. This is therefore the obvious next transfer Hughes is going to sort out. And while the first name everyone will gravitate to is Marc Guehi, he might not be the clear choice. In fact, Liverpool may already be targeting someone else in the position, who could be an even better fit.
