15 backup buses accompany Jordanian pilgrims in case of emergency
Khaberni -The Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Sites, Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalaileh, sponsored today, Saturday, a farewell ceremony for a convoy of Jordanian pilgrims from the Giza Pilgrims City, south of the capital, to the holy lands.
The number of Jordanian pilgrims for the current season is 8,000 pilgrims, in addition to 4,500 pilgrims from the 1948 Muslims, accompanied by a mission for guidance and care, including guides, administrators, a medical and media staff.
Al-Khalaileh, in the presence of the acting Saudi embassy in the Kingdom, Mohammad Moanes, stated that the ministry annually holds an honoring ceremony to bid farewell and dispatch the pilgrims, emphasizing the commitment to implementing the royal directives to facilitate Jordanian pilgrims' performance of their rituals, and to provide them with the best services, according to a comprehensive plan prepared by the ministry to organize transport, accommodation, and sustenance procedures, with the highest quality standards, from the departure of the pilgrims from the kingdom until their return.
The Minister of Awqaf advised the pilgrims to be the best ambassadors for their Hashemite Arab country, to fear God, and to be patient and altruistic in facing the hardships of the Hajj journey, while complying with the systems and instructions of the administrative and guidance mission, and the official Saudi authorities organizing Hajj.
Within the next two days, the Ministry of Awqaf, in coordination with the relevant authorities, will complete the deployment of all land pilgrims through Al-Madoura borders towards Medina, and then to Mecca, by modern buses that are no older than 10 years for European origin, and 5 years for non-European, where they are inspected at three stations (Ma'an, Al-Madoura, and Tayma) to ensure their technical readiness by technicians from the Central Traffic Management.
Also accompanying the pilgrim convoys are 15 backup buses in case of any emergency.
The ceremony was attended by His Eminence the Chief Islamic Judge Abdul Hafiz Rabtah, Deputies Suleiman Al-Zaben and Habis Al-Fayez, Giza District Commissioner Mahmoud Brizat, Mayor of Giza Qadr Al-Fayez, General Manager of Hajj and Umrah Engineer Majdi Al-Batoush, Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Awqaf for Advocacy and Guidance Affairs / Director of Preaching and Guidance Dr. Ismail Al-Khutaba, and the Director of Awqaf Amman Third Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Bzai'ah.
