Details regarding the plot and cast remain unknown at the moment. Said to be one of the most physically demanding roles Rashmika has taken on in her career, the film will feature her as a tribal woman. A previously-released first-look poster showed her in a fierce look, blood-smeared on the face, wild hair, and a sword clutched in hand.
Notably, the upcoming film will have action choreographed by Andy Long, known for his work on films such as Kalki, Commando and Khuda Haafiz. Shreyaas P Krishna is serving as the cinematographer. The makers are yet to announce the music composer and editor of the film.
Mysaa is produced by Ajay and Anil Bayyapureddy. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.

Salman Khan's Sikandar Failed As Tamil Director Didn't Understand Hindi Script: 'Was Not Exactly Sure'
The filmmaker said he wasn't exactly sure what the script said as it was in Hindi. Salman Khan's Sikandar was a dud at the box office. The film had several strengths: Salman Khan's box office pull, Rashmika Mandanna's fanbase and AR Murugadoss's proven Bollywood track record. Despite this, Sikandar had an underwhelming run at the box office. Now, the filmmaker has blamed it on his inability to understand Hindi, and thus, not fully knowing 'what is happening' in the film. AR Murugadoss recently said, 'When we make films in our mother tongue, it gives us strength. We know what is happening here. Today, there's a trend going and suddenly the audience gets connected with that trend. When we shift language, we don't know what the youngsters are enjoying in that language. All we need is a script to believe it." He further explained, 'For once, I can take up Telugu films, but Hindi may not work for us because after we write the script, they translate it into English. Then it is again translated into Hindi." He added, 'We can only guess what they are saying, but we are not exactly sure about what is happening. When you make a film in an unknown language and place, it feels like you are handicapped. It is like you don't have hands. I strongly believe our strength depends on where and which culture we come from." This has come as a shock to the filmmaker's fans, as his previous Hindi films both had good box office runs. The filmmaker is behind Akshay Kumar's Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Aamir Khan's Ghajini. Both films opened to largely positive reviews, with Ghajini even becoming a blockbuster hit. As for Sikandar, critics responded harshly—common criticisms included weak screenplay, uninspired direction, and flat performances. Despite high anticipation, the film failed to deliver the energy and charisma seen in Salman Khan's earlier hits. In the film, Salman plays Sanjay 'Sikandar" Rajkot, a man driven to protect three organ recipients after the death of his wife (played by Rashmika Mandanna). Rashmika plays Saisri, whose tragic storyline catalyses his transformation into a defender of the oppressed against a corrupt politician. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Faruk Kabir on ‘Salakaar': I don't see action as a formula
Mumbai: Filmmaker Faruk Kabir, who is gearing up for the release of Salakaar', spoke about the action in the upcoming series and said that he doesn't see action as a formula and shoots it himself when he has to. 'For me, action isn't choreography, it's emotional crescendo,' Kabir said. He added: 'Every punch, every chase, every fall is an extension of a feeling, love, fear, rage, even heartbreak.' The filmmaker recalls how he told action star Vidyut Jammwal, with whom he worked in the Khuda Haafiz franchise, to fight like a 'broken guy'. 'I don't see action as a formula. I shoot it myself when I have to, because I need it to feel raw. Lived in. Not staged. I remember telling Vidyut in one of my older films, 'Forget what you know. Now fight like a broken guy from Lucknow would.' That's the kind of truth I chase,' he said. In Salakaar, he brings that same raw pulse to the journey of a man who's not born a hero, he's becoming one. 'He makes mistakes. But even in his failures, there's heroism. A madness. That's what this show is about — that honest, flawed, emotional fight,' Kabir said. Inspired by real life events, Salakaar takes you deep into a world where loyalty is currency, silence is survival, and one man's past mission could decide the fate of a nation. The show by Faruk Kabir, which also stars Naveen Kasturia, Mukesh Rishi, Purnendu Bhattacharya, Ashwath Bhatt, and Surya Sharma, is told across two timelines - 1978 and 2025. Salakaar delves into the covert world of intelligence, nuclear threats, and unfinished missions. The trailer, which was unveiled recently, offers a gripping glimpse into the life of Adhir, a deep-cover spy who once thwarted Pakistan's nuclear ambitions, only to face the ghosts of that mission decades later as the National Security Advisor. With the clock ticking and past enemies resurfacing, the stage is set for a showdown where personal vendettas collide with national duty. Salakaar will be streaming from August 8 on JioHotstar. The series is produced by Sphereorigins and Mahir Films.
