‘The dead baby is not mine': A day of revival and empowerment for women

'The dead baby is not mine': A day of revival and empowerment for women SEBOKENG. – Zone 14's Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex came alive recently as women from across the region gathered under the powerful banner of 'The Dead Baby Is Not Mine' – a symbolic and deeply spiritual women's event designed to revive lost dreams, faith, purpose, and aspirations. The theme 'The Dead Baby Is Not Mine' was not literal but a metaphor representing the many thing's women have lost — be it self-belief, business ideas, confidence, marriages, or personal goals. The event served as a safe space for restoration, encouragement, and transformation. Co-hosted by Apostle TJ Sefatsa, the day began with a warm welcome by Bongani Mofokeng, followed by an opening prayer from Apostle Sefatsa, who also introduced the theme and reminded everyone that the purpose of the gathering was to bury what was never theirs, and resurrect what is divinely theirs. Prophetess Dube addressed the critical bond between mother and daughter, calling for healing in broken family relationships. Speaker after speaker emphasised the importance of women prioritizing their health and wellness, especially mental and emotional health. While others spoke on the importance of women's participation in leadership and decision-making. Memorial Moreki, a passionate life coach, inspired attendees to dig up their buried dreams and breathe life back into them. The First National Bank (FNB) team gave a practical presentation on financial literacy and opened accounts for women on the spot to promote financial independence. Apostle Helen Modise, on the other hand, delivered a spiritually uplifting message that reignited hope in the hearts of many, encouraging women to rise above their past and walk boldly into their God-given purpose. Dr. Pinky Nkabinde closed the session with a powerful message on financial freedom and spiritual alignment. She encouraged women to be independent and goal-driven, and reminded married women to love and honour their husbands, anchoring her message in biblical teachings. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Apostle TJ Sefatsa, who thanked all the speakers, partners, and attendees for making the day a success. He declared the event a turning point for many women and encouraged them to go forth revived and restored. 'The Dead Baby Is Not Mine' was not just a women's event — it was a movement of healing, awakening, and rebirth. Women walked away renewed, empowered, and equipped to pursue their dreams, rebuild their faith, and reclaim their place in every sphere of life. The atmosphere was charged with hope, sisterhood, and divine presence — proof that what was once dead can truly live again.
