The Dallas native bounced back immediately with a birdie at the par-3 11th, then added two more at Nos. 13 and 14. But the momentum didn't last. He bogeyed the 15th, birdied the 16th, and then bogeyed the 17th, where his frustration boiled over again. After a wayward tee shot on 17, Scheffler dropped his driver to the ground and nearly kicked it. His approach from the rough went left into more rough, prompting him to exclaim, "Can I get one lie that's just not the worst lie ever? Just one! Just one!" as seen on the video posted by NBC. This was not the first time Scheffler showcased his frustrated side on the course.
