Louis Partridge's Hat Is My Favorite Meme From The 2025 Met Gala — And If You've Got No Idea What I'm Talking About, I'm Gonna Need You To Catch Up

🔥 Full coverage and conversation on the Met Gala
Every year, someone at the Met Gala receives the meme treatment. And this year, for better or worse, the subject of the jokes is Louis Partridge.
As well as being an actor, Louis is perhaps best known for being Olivia Rodrigo 's doting boyfriend. And though his popstar GF wasn't in attendance at last night's red carpet, Louis still wound up being the talk of social media — all thanks to his fedora-style hat.
In Louis's defence, his look was very much in keeping with the Met's dress code for the night, which was 'Tailored for You.' However, whether or not the outfit was tailored for him or an array of fictional characters remains up for debate.
Among the viral reactions on X, my favorites were those where people said Louis's outfit looked like something that may have been worn by Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl.
While plenty of others thought he was giving Ryan Evans energy, which is honestly an elite compliment. (High School Musical Met Gala theme, when?)
The hat also kind of looks like it could've been stolen from Ne-Yo, another well-known jaunty hat enthusiast.
And for those less familiar with the works of Ne-Yo, there were also a few Michael Jackson 'Smooth Criminal' jokes in there, too.
In fact, the more I scrolled, the funnier it got. So I'm gonna just leave the rest of these here for you to enjoy…
Not everyone can make a hat work, but I have to say that Louis pulled it off better than most. I am simply dying to know Olivia's thoughts.

An ABC News Correspondent Was Suspended For A Trump Administration Tweet
If you're a regular ABC News viewer, you might not be seeing this guy — specifically, senior national correspondent Terry Moran — on your TV for a bit. Variety reports that Terry has been suspended from his position for a since-deleted tweet about US President Donald Trump's White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller. Related: Donald Trump's Apparent Baldness Is Going Viral In A New Photo Here's what the tweet reportedly said: "The thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpism. Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy." Related: Kylie Jenner's First Met Gala Dress Made Her Bleed, And 20 Other Red Carpet Looks That Took "Beauty Is Pain" Wayyyy Too Far "But that's not what's interesting about Miller. It's not brains. It's bile. Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. He's a world-class hater." In a statement about Terry's tweet, an ABC News spokesperson said, 'ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others. The post does not reflect the views of ABC News and violated our standards — as a result, Terry Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation.' Just another day in Trump's America, I suppose! Fans Are Reacting To Miley Cyrus Being Heckled And "Bullied Into Singing" At Her Film Premiere
Last night, Miley Cyrus attended the Tribeca Film Festival to debut her new film, Something Beautiful. It's a companion piece for her album of the same name, which came out last Friday. She was onstage discussing the film with producer Panos Cosmatos when an attendee interrupted the conversation from the crowd. "We thought this was a concert!" the person yelled. "Are you actually going to sing?" Shame on them," a fourth fan said, while others accused the hecklers of overshadowing Miley's premiere. "They stole her moment," one person said. "That was ROTTED." The backlash also continued on Reddit, with users praising Miley for the way she handled it while also saying "she should never have been put in that situation." "She handled that so gracefully but she should never have been put in that situation," one user wrote. "She's not a puppet and people need to learn some damn manners before leaving the house." "How can you buy 800$ tickets and not read what is the thing you are buying tickets to?" another wondered, while someone else argued, "There is no way it was advertised as a full fledged concert smh people can be so entitled….Miley is a class act ♥️" She really is, but my god was that rude.
