On Saturday, the Decatur County Sheriff's Office requested the GBI to investigate allegations against 38-year-old Joseph Kelly, of Climax, Ga.
According to the GBI, Kelly was accused of having sexual contact with multiple minors.
Joseph and his wife, Natalie Kelly, were arrested later that day by the GBI and the DCSO.

Joseph is the mayor of Climax and is employed by the Decatur County School District, officials said. At this time, there are no indications that the alleged acts are related to his job, the GBI said.
Joseph Kelly is charged with two counts of child molestation, and Natalie Kelly is charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the second degree.
The pair was booked into the Decatur County Jail.

Cyclist claims Miami Beach police unfairly arrested him after cruiser incident
A 55-year-old cyclist said he was unfairly arrested and charged with two felonies after placing his hands on a police cruiser during an operation on Ocean Drive. Vladimir Tovar, an engineer from Miami, faces charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. According to the arrest report, Tovar "intentionally struck" the cruiser hard enough to cause dents "approximately four to five times" before ignoring commands to stop. "I put my hand (on) the police car," Tovar said after bonding out of jail Friday morning. Tovar said he rode his bicycle into Miami Beach Thursday evening. On Ocean Drive, he rolled past undercover officers preparing to arrest people involved in illegal sales. During the operation, officers requested a cruiser nearby to keep everyone safe, a Miami Beach Police Department spokesman said. The cruiser was partially in the bike lane when cameras recorded Tovar approaching. "A cyclist traveling northbound reportedly struck the marked police vehicle intentionally before fleeing the area despite a sergeant's lawful directive to stop," MBPD Public Information Officer Christopher Bess said in a statement. "The cyclist was subsequently located and arrested." Tovar insists he did nothing wrong. He said video shows another cyclist approaching him as he neared the cruiser. He claims he put his hand on the vehicle to keep his balance while avoiding the other cyclist and barriers in the street. "The first hand (on the cruiser) was to stop," Tovar said. "The second hand (was) to (not) fall down. I just (tried) to stop." Tovar also expressed frustration with how officers treated him after his arrest. "It's crazy," he said. "At the Miami Beach detention center, they sent me to a little jail with people with mental problems. Then, they put me in a van with nine people with 90 degrees outside like you see people at the border." "How can I explain this to my 17-year-old son?" he asked. Tovar said he plans to fight the charges.

Bodycam footage shows Dem South Carolina gubernatorial hopeful's rant, calling himself ‘Superman' and ‘God'
Bizarre bodycam footage has been released showing a Democratic candidate in the South Carolina gubernatorial race going on a profanity-filled rant from the back of a patrol car, calling himself "Superman" and "God," while making threats toward public officials during an arrest in May. The footage shows William "Mullins" McLeod, an injury attorney, semi-naked with beads of sweat running down his face, going on an unhinged rant for around 35 minutes after he was charged with disorderly conduct by the Charleston Police Department after a May 14 incident. McLeod was wearing only underwear and shoes at the time, according to a report by the Charleston Police Department obtained by Fox News Digital. The South Carolina Democratic Party has called on him to drop out. The video starts with McLeod rambling about class-action lawsuits and little money going to victims before an officer asks him for his name, but he refuses to comply. John Doe's fine. I don't give a f---," McLeod says. "Just get these shackles off of me, you call me whatever you want to. I don't care. Just get this s--- off, get me out of this car, my name doesn't matter." Later on in his rant, McLeod said, "I don't care what you call me, call me God. You think I give a f---?" During the profanity-laced tirade, McLeod threatened several current and former South Carolina politicians, including Republican Attorney General Alan Wilson, who launched his gubernatorial bid earlier this summer. "I'm gonna kick your f---ing teeth in," McLeod barked, apparently referring to Wilson while claiming the political system is corrupt. He also made bizarre references to Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., who is also in the race and to President Donald Trump, saying the president "would not be able to take you out," which was also aimed at Wilson. He is also heard using racial slurs. Police said McLeod's eyes were "extremely bloodshot and highly dilated," and he was sweating profusely. "It should be noted that R/O (responding officer) knows these symptoms to be typical of an individual under the influence of a stimulant narcotic due to his training and experience," the report says. "Additionally, while in intake, the offender continued to ramble incoherently and at one point lashed out and kicked another prisoner." McLeod was taken into custody after officers saw him walking along a seawall and promenade yelling loudly and waving his arms, according to the police report. Officers said they could hear him from a block away and ordered him to place his hands behind his back, at which point he began yelling louder and locking out his arms. "Due to the male offering fake names, as well as not having a physical ID, he was placed under arrest and booked into ACDC (Al Cannon Detention Center) as 'John Doe,'" the police report says. At a bond hearing after his arrest, McLeod's lawyer told a judge the erratic behavior stemmed from a mental health episode and exhaustion, according to reports. Fox News Digital reached out to McLeod for comment but did not immediately receive a response. Christale Spain, chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party, said in a statement Wednesday McLeod should reconsider his candidacy. "After reviewing the transcript of the dashcam footage from his recent arrest, it is clear that Mr. McLeod is navigating profound challenges and should focus on his mental and emotional well-being instead of a campaign for governor," the statement said. "We offer him compassion and pray he finds the support he needs." McLeod founded the McLeod Law Group in Charleston and has fought cases involving toxic torts, civil rights violations, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, nursing home abuse and commercial negligence, according to his campaign website. He is scheduled to hold a press conference to address the incident and made it clear he is not backing out of the race, South Carolina Public Radio reported. Minivan driver arrested in March Danville crash that killed truck passenger
The driver of a minivan that crashed with a truck at a busy intersection in Danville in March was arrested Friday for manslaughter, authorities said. In a joint statement on Friday, the Danville Police Department and Contra Costa Sheriff's Office said 73-year-old Andrew Chao of Danville was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for felony vehicular manslaughter. The arrest stemmed from the crash on March 1 at the intersection of Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon, just east of the Sycamore Valley onramp and offramp from Interstate Highway 680. The truck overturned in the collision and a passenger in the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. Chao, the driver of the minivan, sustained minor injuries, police said. After an investigation into the collision, detectives presented the case to the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office last month, which filed manslaughter charges against Chao. An arrest warrant was issued for Chao, and officers arrested him on Friday afternoon, police said. Chao is being held on $50,000 bail. Jail records show his initial court appearance is scheduled for Monday at Martinez Superior Court.
