Pokémon Legends Z-A confirms return of fan-favourite Emma from X and Y in new Lumiose adventure
Emma, first introduced as a young girl under the care of Looker in Lumiose City, was seen in the new Z-A trailer, confirming long-standing fan theories about her presence in this instalment.
In Pokémon X and Y, Emma inherits the Looker Bureau, and the trailer suggests she continues to run it in the futuristic Lumiose City setting of Z-A.
Her outfit also hints that she may still be operating as Essentia, maintaining her role in Lumiose's crime-fighting efforts.
The trailer has raised questions among players regarding the exact timeline of Pokémon Legends Z-A, as Emma appears older but not so much that it would suggest a complete rebuild of Lumiose City from its original appearance in X and Y to the advanced cityscape shown in Z-A.
Fans have speculated about possible time-related elements or rapid urban development within the Kalos region, although these remain unconfirmed.
Alongside Emma, the trailer featured the return of Mable, previously a member of Team Flare, now seen as the director of the Pokémon Research Lab, prompting discussions about her potential role and character development in Z-A.
The Pokémon Presents showcase also highlighted new characters, including Naveen, Lida, and either Urbain or Taunie, and revealed the new Mega Evolution, Mega Dragonite, adding to the excitement for the upcoming release.
Pokémon Legends Z-A is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16 2025.

'86' anime season 3 rumours spark amid high demand for anime continuation
A renewed wave of speculation has hit online fan communities following rumours that 86 season 3 has been green‑lit by A‑1 Pictures. Reddit users on r/EightySix widely expressed hope, even amid acknowledgement of no official confirmation. One commenter wrote that concern remains 'no current word on it' but termed it 'just a waiting game to see if it gets announced'. Others joked with hopeful tone: 'Yes!! I am a time traveller from the year 2124 yes there is a season two… just you wait'. Fans point out that only three of the thirteen light novel volumes have been animated so far, leaving ample content for further seasons. Some note that the light novels could sustain 'a dozen seasons' and that 'there's no reason not to continue the series' given its strong reception. On platforms like TikTok, posts tagged #86Season3 and #EightySix show eager discussions, countdown videos, and speculation over possible release dates, though none are officially confirmed. The buzz reflects the depth of the story and characters, with fans highlighting their anticipation for the adaptation of volumes beyond the third. The anime adaptation aired in two parts between April 2021 and March 2022, covering roughly the first three novels. Viewers cite reasons for enthusiasm including the series' emotional storytelling, themes of war, discrimination and ethical dilemmas, as portrayed in the source material. While official confirmation from A‑1 Pictures or the rights holders has yet to arrive, the sustained fan expectation and the unadapted volumes make the prospect of season 3 highly anticipated across the anime community.

Beyonce makes history with 'Cowboy Carter'
Beyonce's Cowboy Carter tour is now the highest-grossing country tour of all time with over USD400 million in revenue, Live Nation said in a statement on Monday, citing a Billboard story. As per Reuters, the Cuff It singer has also become the highest-grossing Black artist of all time and the highest-grossing R&B artist of all time, Live Nation added. Additionally, the 43-year-old performer has made history as the first woman and American act to have two different tours earning over $400 million. According to NME, Beyonce's 2023 Renaissance trek – previously named one of the highest-grossing tours of all time – amassed USD579 million across 56 shows. In late April, the singer launched the Cowboy Carter tour in Los Angeles, rolling through Texas Hold 'Em and other country hits while sharing the stage with her two daughters. Last Saturday, Beyonce finished the record-breaking tour in Las Vegas with special appearances from her husband, rapper Jay-Z, her former R&B girl group, Destiny's Child, and country singer Shaboozey. Throughout her tour, the 16 Carriages vocalist has paid homage to Black American contributions to country music, specifically honouring Black performers, some of whom are featured in the Cowboy Carter album. Beyonce has spoken candidly about not feeling welcomed in the country genre despite her Texas roots, after she became the first Black woman to win Best Country Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Her performance at the Country Music Association Awards in 2016 received notable backlash, including racist comments across social media from those saying her songs were not real country music. There were 32 sold-out stadium shows across North America, the UK, and Europe that grossed over $400 million, according to Live Nation. By contrast, pop singer Taylor Swift earned over $2 billion for her Eras tour that spanned from March 2023 to December 2024, becoming the highest-grossing tour ever.
