A FLIGHT attendant who has been to New York hundreds of times has revealed her best kept secrets for tourists heading to the city.
Aer Lingus cabin crew member Susan has visited the city 200 times, as well as lived there until she was 10 years old before moving to Dublin.

Having worked with the airline for seven years, she shared some of her top tips for people wanting to get the most out of their holiday.
Best food
Susan said a slice of pizza is a "must try" while in New York.
When it comes to the best place, she said her favourite was Joe's Pizza off Times Square.
She said: It's the first stop my Aer Lingus crew and I make when we land at night, because it's open late and is the perfect jet lag cure."'
She also said: 'For breakfast, you have to get a bagel, nowhere else in the world does bagels like New Yorkers.
"My personal go-to is a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, but there are hundreds of options.
When it comes to dinner, she said the best places both Little Italy and Chinatown, rather than American chains.
She finished by saying: "It's great to finish your day with some of the world's best Italian or Chinese food.
Little Italy and Chinatown are perfect for casual dining - I dream of the Chinese and Italian in New York when back in the UK.
For something a bit fancier, Susan said both her and the crew like is Smith & Wollenski on 49th and 3rd for reliable options including steak."

Best attractions
While Susan admits everyone should go to places like Central Park and the Statue of Liberty, the museums also shouldn't be missed.
She explained: "There are incredible museums to visit like the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Natural History.
"If you visit in winter months, the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Centre and Bryant Park are my favourite.
"Go ice-skating, watch a Broadway show, walk the Highline in Manhattan - you can do so much especially when using the hop-on and hop-off bus."
The views of the city come from her "secret" spot.
She said: "While you can get a great view from The Edge, my ideal location to view The Empire State Building is an amazing rooftop bar called 230 fifth."

Susan said: "It's an up-and-coming neighbourhood for bars and food.
"There is a great family-owned restaurant called Pomeroy, the food and cocktails are amazing.
'New York is a city I could never get sick of.
"It's filled with amazing Skyscrapers, cultures, and insanely delicious food from all over the world, in one lively location.
"New York is home to the best restaurants, theatre, fashion and music, which makes it one of the most popular destinations for tourists.'
We also spoke to travel expert Nicole Lawson who visits at least six times a year, who has some other money-saving tips.
And Sophie Swietochowski, Assistant Travel Editor, revealed her budget New York tips.

Another round of geomagnetic activity means the Northern Lights might once again make a surprise appearance tonight, June 3, in several American states. Botti savouring ‘special day' with Italian Derby hero Molveno
Having seen his father Alduino, his uncle Giuseppe and his brother Stefano enjoy multiple victories in the Capannelle Classic, the Newmarket-based trainer was thrilled to get his name on the roll of honour, with fellow Italian Marco Ghiani in the saddle. Botti said: 'We had a nice dinner with the jockey and his family last night and it was great. 'For us the Italian Derby means a lot. My dad won it a few times, as has my brother, so he couldn't be too upset finishing second and third this year! 'It was a great ride and I thought the horse was very brave. At one point I thought he'd slipped a little bit too far back in a field, but he actually picked up well in the straight.' Molveno won three times on the all-weather during the winter and was last seen filling the runner-up spot in a handicap over Newmarket's Rowley Mile. He faced a hike in class and distance in Rome, but Botti was confident his charge had what it took to make his presence felt. 'I always thought the extra three furlongs shouldn't be an issue. After his last run at Newmarket we thought we'd step up in trip and I said to the owner, who is Italian-based, if you want to go for the Italian Derby I wouldn't be against it,' he added. 'He loves fast ground. I know with his form you wondered whether he'd be good enough or not, but I've bought a few horses for my brother rated 90/95 who have been competitive, so we said we'd take a chance and it worked out quite well. 'I'm sure it was special for Marco as well. It was his first Group Two winner, he was born in Italy and his parents were there, so it was a special day for sure.' Molveno looks set to enjoy a short break following his Italian heroics before being campaigned abroad later in the year. Botti said: 'Having won a Group Two it will be really tough for him in England and as he travelled so well and likes fast ground, I think we'll campaign him more in the second half of the season in a few races maybe in Qatar and Bahrain and places like that. 'I think that's what we'll do. He deserves a break now as it's a long way to Rome, so we'll freshen him up and get him ready for the second part of the season.'

Susan Edwards, 69, from Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne, vowed she'll never book with TUI again after being less than impressed with the grub on offer. They were looking forwards to a week of relaxation, but the ordeal "horrendous from the minute they got there," Susan said. After paying £750 each for the week, the sun-seekers were expecting slap-up meals and drinks on tap. But Susan told Chronicle Live: "There was no food we could eat and we couldn't have anything to drink. We had to pay €1.50 for water." Advertisement After a tiring journey - and a long ramp to reach the hotel reception - they were more than ready for food and refreshment when they arrived at around 2pm. But, to their horror, hotel staff said food would not be served to guests until 5pm. And when it finally emerged, it was a measly "one-inch square of baklava", Susan claims. But that was just the beginning of her woes. Advertisement The following day, the family discovered there was "no English food" on offer whatsoever. Instead, Susan said: "On a morning you could have toast, a hard-boiled egg, or something in sauce." Susan told the site: "We got chips one day. One day out of the whole lot. One night there was a Greek night and they had kebabs, I couldn't eat that. "It's the worst holiday I've ever been on." There are some foods Susan can't eat because she has ulcerative colitis. Advertisement And she didn't fair any better on the drinks front. The all-inclusive drinks were wine, lager, ouzo, or brandy. Susan would plump for a Bacardi and Coke, but her only option was to pay €9 for a knock-off brand. She said: "By the time we paid £750 for the holiday, €70 tourist tax for me and my daughter and an extra £450 for both of our meals, I could have been to the Caribbean on that." Advertisement It was thumbs down for the hotel's facilities as well. Susan said there was no entertainment as the site, which is "stuck in the middle of nowhere", and the 150-yard trek down to the private beach was too steep to navigate. The family has travelled with TUI plently of times, usually to Spain, and they had always been reassured by the firm's experience in curating trips. But after the Corfu cock-up, Susan doesn't think she can stick with the company. Advertisement They offered her £100 in holiday vouchers - but Susan claims some people were offered more after complaining and declined the olive branch. A TUI UK & I Spokesperson said: "Our priority is to ensure customers have the best possible holiday experience, so we are sorry to hear that Mrs Edwards felt dissatisfied with her holiday. We have been in touch directly with Mrs Edwards to come to a resolution."
