Driver of stolen car crashes into vehicle, killing 1 in East Bay: sheriff's office
(KRON) – A passenger of a car was killed after a driver of a stolen Infiniti crashed into the car, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
At 12:41 a.m. on Sunday, Pittsburg Police Department officers responded to two vehicles involved in a crash.
According to the sheriff's office, the California Highway Patrol officers noticed a stolen gray Infiniti sedan speeding more than 100 miles per hour on Highway 4 near east of Bailey Road, according to deputies.

CHP officers pursued the Infiniti and caught up at the freeway at Railroad Avenue in Pittsburg. Despite officers attempting to pull over the car, the driver did not stop. Deputies said the pursuit lasted slightly over a minute due to the Infiniti crashing into an uninvolved vehicle.
Paramedics responded and took both drivers to a local hospital.
A passenger of the uninvolved vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, said deputies.
The district attorney's office is investigating this case with the assistance of the CHP's Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team.

Two killed in Jefferson Parish car crash
JEFFERSON PARISH (WGNO) — Two people were killed Monday, June 9 in a car crash in Jefferson Parish. According to Louisiana State Police, 80-year-old Oscar Carter IV and a passenger, 77-year-old Martha Bradford, were killed in a car crash on LA 3152 near King Street. There was a third passenger who survived with minor injuries. State Police said Carter was driving a 2013 Infiniti G37 north in the center lane. A Nissan Altima was traveling north in the left lane. The Infiniti veered into the left lane and struck the right side of the Nissan, then entered the median and hit a tree. The Nissan crossed the median into the southbound lanes and struck a 2020 Buick Encore traveling south. Woman sentenced for role in burglary ring targeting Portland businesses
PORTLAND, Ore. () — A woman was sentenced to prison on Monday for her role in a burglary ring targeting Portland restaurants, bars, lounges and dispensaries, the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office announced. Officials said 27-year-old Courtney Carlile was sentenced to nine years in prison for 13 counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of auto theft – all felony charges. Carlile was also ordered to pay restitution and will be on post-prison supervision for three years after her release from prison, the District Attorney's Office said. Deputy District Attorney Alexander Garcia, who prosecuted the case, said Carlile targeted at least 13 businesses. As this court is well aware, property crime has greatly impacted Portland,' Garcia said. 'It has caused a great number of businesses and people to leave Portland. According to Garcia, Carlile is one of roughly 10 people in the burglary ring who has burglarized and stolen from as many as 100 Portland businesses, a majority of which are small businesses.
