Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond, 56, reveals very simple secret to staying married almost 30 years
The TV personality and her husband, both 56, will celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary in September.
In her latest Pioneer Woman blog post, the mother-of-four — whose son's license was just revoked — revealed that the couple's favorite date night activity is a long drive in her pickup truck.
'At the risk of sounding like an old married couple, we love to take drives together,' the redhead beauty shared.
She explained, 'There's something about the peace of the pickup. That diesel engine is like background music, and we are focused only on each other. No laptops, devices, TV's...it's such a great time to catch up.'

About their destination, Ree said, 'Honestly, it's different every time.'
She added about their Oklahoma drives, 'Sometimes we stay on the county roads and check on fences or cattle; other times we'll drive east to Pawhuska or west to Ponca City, stopping to get a convenience store Dr Pepper when we get there.
'Other times Ladd will drive into this pasture or that, to show me an area of a creek that I may not have seen before, or — again — to check on a cow or a fence.'
The husband and wife are parents to four kids — Alex, 28, Paige, 25, Bryson, 22, and Todd, 21.
The star also revealed in her 2020 book, Frontier Follies: Adventures in Marriage and Motherhood in the Middle of Nowhere, that she fostered a son named Jamar in 2018.
And they welcomed their first grandchild, Alex's daughter Sofia, in December 2024.
Ree said in the blog post written by Kelsey Hurwitz, 'Now that we're empty nesters, it's not like we don't have lots of time alone at home already.
'But there's something about the safety and sanctity of the pickup that sparks the very best conversations.'

In December, the author gushed about becoming a grandmother in a heartfelt blog post.
She announced at the time, 'My sweet little pookie head granddaughter Sofia was born ten days ago, so I thought it would be the perfect time to show you some of my favorite snapshots of the first week-and-a-half of her life.'
The proud grandparent even said she considered buying a house in Texas to be close to her daughter and the baby.
'I got to stay in Dallas just long enough to fall hopelessly in love with her, and I would be lying if I said I haven't checked Zillow for houses not only on Alex and Mauricio's street, but also on their block and actually right across the street from their house.
'It's sort of like when I return from a vacation in Vail, Colorado and I start searching for houses to buy in Vail because I just don't want that vacation feeling to end. Well, in this case, it's even more profound: I don't want my time with Sofia ever to end, and though neither "second home" scenario is very likely at all, a girl (and a grandmother) can sure dream,' she penned.

Eye-watering cost of sorority hopeful's rush outfit sparks fierce backlash: 'Four months of my rent'
It's that time of the year again - rush week at the University of Alabama. Back in 2021, a series of women who were trying to join the University of Alabama's Panhellenic community documented their road to being accepted into one of the 18 different sororities at the school, and uploaded it all to TikTok. Their videos quickly exploded, and many people on the web became enthralled with watching the lengthy process play out. Since then, every time August rolls around, #BamaRush goes viral once again, as a whole new set of freshmen hopefuls at University of Alabama and other Southern schools put their best foot forward to vie for the chance to get accepted into sororities on campus. And many of them figure that the best way to do this is to make sure that foot is covered in a designer shoe. Tons of the women rushing this year have been showcasing their daily outfits throughout the process on TikTok and Instagram - and some of them have donned ensembles worth thousands of dollars. And while their stacks of expensive jewelry and name brand skirts used to elicit awe from their audiences, now it seems as though they only stir disbelief and anger. One Instagram creator recently broke down some of the sky-high prices of these girls' rush looks, and it sparked immense backlash for the students. Destinee Wilson, who calls herself 'your favorite price breakdown analyst,' has been reposting videos of girls rushing sororities in the South and detailing the prices of each article of clothing they wear. Tons of the women rushing this year have been showcasing their daily outfits throughout the process on TikTok and Instagram - and the ensembles worth thousands of dollars. The outfit featured Shila Fijal earrings, a Tiffany necklace, a Tory Burch watch, a Hermes bangle, and a Farm Rio skirt, amongst other things. After finding all of the individual products and their prices, Destinee revealed that the outfit costs a whopping $4,776. And viewers were shocked to say the least. 'She spent four months of my rent on that outfit,' one Instagram user pointed out. 'How much money does she HAVE?!' another commented, incredulous. Some users even had choice words for the parents of the student. She also donned a Tiffany T white gold bracelet, which is priced at $1,350, and the $350 Tory Burch Small Eleanor Watch She sported a $135 Farm Rio skirt, amongst other things. And after finding all of the individual products and their prices, Destinee revealed that the outfit cost a whopping $4,776 'Unless these girls are making their money on social media… their parents are failing them by buying them all this shit that's so damn expensive,' one outraged person said. 'They will never understand the true value of a dollar.' Others even made fun of the outfit, claiming it looked cheap despite its high cost. 'Meanwhile the whole outfit looks like it came from Old Navy,' another user added. Destinee herself did not mock the outfit or its price. In fact, in one of her other videos, she captions her price breakdown: 'The GSU girls were absolutely rocking rush week.'

This rising star is now hoping to copy some of that success and is even starring in a movie alongside her famous parent - but can you guess who her mother is? 6 6 6 6 The nepo-baby in question is Birdie Leigh Silverstein, 16, who is the daughter of Dawson's Creek star Busy Philipps, 46. She has just landed a role opposite her mum in the new horror-comedy, Horrified. The movie started shooting this summer, and Busy couldn't help sharing a clip from a scene her daughter filmed for the movie. Writing next to it, the proud mum said: "Apparently i've now completed the transformation into what is probably my truest form: STAGE MOTHER!. "Thank you to my dear friend @zarastoriez & @horrifiedmovie for helping me to achieve this eventuality." Busy is extremely proud of her daughter. On her last birthday, the actress posted a slew of photos of her girl, and wrote: "Happy 16th Birthday to my Bird. There is absolutely no one like you in the world, Birdie Leigh Silverstein. "I'm forever in awe that you're my kid(but also I'm SORRY but you're SO MY KID- your RBF is proof) "You're the absolute funniest, smartest, greatest, best with a mind like no one I've ever met before. "Literally every person who has ever spent time with you would agree." LISTEN to Busy Philipps discuss her split from husband Marc Silverman on Busy Philipps is Doing Her Best She ended the sweet post with: "I love you more than anything in the world, my chicken." Busy shares Birdie with her ex husband, Marc Silverstein. The former couple had been married 14 years before announcing they had parted ways in 2022. Speaking at the time on her podcast Busy Phillips Is Doing Her Best, the actress said: "It's been a really long time that Marc and I have been separated and our kids know, our families know, our friends know." 6 Busy shared how the pair first separated back in February 2021 and had been thinking how to reveal their split to the public. The actress explained: "Marc and I talked about it, and when we first separated, we couldn't even think about putting one of those statements out — it made us sick, both of us, truly ill. It's a journey. "The surest way that Marc and I have been able to ensure the privacy of our kids that we love so f**king much was by not involving the public." Along with Birdie, Busy and Marc share another child, Cricket Pearl, 12. Busy added on her podcast: "We love each other- very much! And we have these beautiful kids together. And there are a lot of things that really work about our relationship." Busy previously opened up about her relationship with Marc in her 2018 memoir, This Will Only Hurt a Little. In it she revealed she reached out for support from another man as her marriage was on the rocks. Busy wrote: "There was a man I was friends with, another dad. We'd been having lunch and stuff. Texting. Talking on the phone a lot. "Honestly, I had a crush on him. I like him. Maybe I even loved him? He clearly liked me too." Busy also once told Parents magazine: "Marriage is always hard, but especially when you have kids … You're going to go through periods when you're not into it, but there always has to be one person willing to fight. "I went to Marc several times and said, 'I cannot do this anymore. Something has to change, and it's you...'" 6
