
TECOM Group delivers strong H1 results with AED 737 million profit
The Group, which operates 10 specialised business districts across Dubai, also posted a 21 per cent rise in revenue, reaching AED 1.4 billion, driven by higher rental rates, strong occupancy and returns from strategic asset acquisitions.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA|) climbed 24 per cent to AED 1.1 billion, with the Group's EBITDA margin improving to 80 per cent, reflecting continued operational efficiency.
Funds from operations also saw a 17 per cent boost, reaching AED 984 million, further highlighting strong portfolio performance and revenue quality.
In line with its dividend policy, TECOM's Board has approved an interim cash dividend of AED 400 million for the first half of the year.
The results reinforce TECOM Group's position as a key player in Dubai's business landscape, supporting vital sectors and strengthening the UAE's role as a global investment hub.

H1 2025 Operational Highlights
In April, PayPal opened its first regional headquarters in the Middle East and Africa at Dubai Internet City, the pioneering hub uniting global tech industry leaders and talent which today generates 65% of Dubai's technology sector GDP.

Sharjah Chamber reports 12% membership growth in H1 2025
The combined export and re-export values of registered member companies reached approximately AED11 billion in the first half of 2025, as reported by SCCI. The Chamber also issued 41,294 certificates of origin during the same period, marking a 6 percent increase compared to the previous year. He emphasised that the emirate's favorable investment environment and its array of competitive advantages and incentives have positioned Sharjah as a major business hub and investment destination. For his part, Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, noted that the Chamber's strong performance in H1 2025 reflects the effective rollout of its 2025–2027 strategic plan. The strategy focuses on Sharjah's economic empowerment, entrepreneurial development, private sector competitiveness, and the creation of a growth-oriented investment climate. During the first half of this year, the Sharjah Chamber remained committed to diversifying its initiatives and launching strategic economic and trade events, programs, and exhibitions aimed at advancing the emirate's ongoing economic development. The Chamber engaged in a series of business meetings with official, diplomatic, and trade delegations to foster strategic partnerships between Sharjah's private sector and global counterparts. Azimut Egypt plans to launch new dollar fund in October
Azimut Egypt for asset management, a subsidiary of the global Azimut Group, which is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, intends to launch a new dollar fund next October, said Ahmed Abou El Saad, the CEO of the Egyptian company, while speaking to Zawya Arabic. The asset management sector in Egypt has recently recorded a significant development in the diversity of investment funds. According to official data, there are six dollar-denominated investment funds licensed by the Financial Regulatory Authority in Egypt. "In October, we will start a new dollar fund," said Abou El Saad, noting that the maturity date of the fund will be determined in the coming period. The company has been operating since 1994, when it was known as Delta Brokerage, and has undergone several acquisitions. The latest acquisition was in 2019, when Azimut Global Holding fully acquired it. Azimut Egypt manages assets exceeding 26 billion Egyptian pounds ($534.4 million), according to its website. Abou El Saad said the new fund will coincide with the liquidation of the AZ 2025 Dollar Fund, which was launched in 2023 and has a value of around $9 million, with returns of up to 25% through its term.
