Deputies seek information over indecent exposure incidents in Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills

Deputies are seeking the public's help in identifying a man accused of indecent exposure toward a group of girls who were seated in an outdoor food court in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said the incidents under investigation happened about 4 p.m. on June 29 outside the Shake Shack and then a few minutes later outside the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, which are both on North Adams Road. The suspect may also have been involved in a separate incident in Auburn Hills the same day. "We are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and apprehending this disturbing individual," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. "Repeatedly targeting young girls and exposing oneself is not only vile – it's a serious crime. ... Now is the time to intervene and stop it before it goes any further." The suspect appeared to be about age 20 to 30, according to a description provided by authorities. He had blondish-brown hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a gray collared shirt and greenish-gray cargo shorts at the time of the Rochester Hills incidents. The girls, described as "pre-teenage" age, told detectives they were seated outside the Shake Shack when the man walked past them. As he lifted his shirt, the girls noticed the pants zipper was down and he exposed himself. A few minutes later, the girls had moved in front of the nearby bookstore when they saw the same man walk by. He again lifted his shirt and exposed himself, the report said. The girls yelled at the man after the second such instance, and he quickened his walking pace. Several women who were nearby asked the girls if they needed help. In response, the man began running through the outdoor food court. He was last seen in a nearby parking lot. Deputies ask that anyone who can assist in the investigation contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at 248-858-4950.

White farmer on trial in South Africa after 2 Black women allegedly murdered and their bodies fed to pigs

A White South African farm owner and two employees are facing trial over the alleged murder of two Black women who prosecutors say were shot dead for trespassing last August and their bodies fed to pigs – stoking fury in a nation already reeling from racial tensions. The women were said to have been killed by Zachariah Olivier, 60, and his workers, Adrian De Wet, 19, and 45-year-old foreign national William Musoro. The men appeared at the Limpopo Polokwane High Court on Monday, in the northern Limpopo province, a regional spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa (NPA) told CNN. The trio 'are facing two counts of murder, attempted murder, three counts of defeating the ends of justice, and possession of firearms and ammunition,' the NPA said in an earlier statement. Musoro, described by police as 'an illegal immigrant,' was additionally charged with 'contravening sections of the illegal immigration act,' a police statement said. They were not asked to enter a plea before the hearing was shifted to Thursday, NPA spokesperson in Limpopo, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, said. The men were arrested after police investigations led to the discovery of the decomposed bodies of the women 'in a pigsty on a farm in Sebayeng, outside Mankweng,' on August 20, 2024, the police statement said at the time. 'The investigation began when a 45-year-old South African woman went missing after visiting the farm on 17 August (2024), accompanied by a 35-year-old foreign national woman,' police said. 'Both women sustained gunshot wounds, and a 47-year-old foreign national man, who was with them' escaped but 'was also shot and hospitalized.' The survivor told reporters that one of the murdered women was his wife. The other woman was their neighbor. They had entered the farm to collect expired and abandoned dairy products, he said. Many South Africans outraged by the killings have called for justice for the victims. Similar murders have been recorded in South Africa in recent years. In Mpumalanga, in the country's east, four men, including a 24-year-old farm manager, are facing charges of murder and kidnapping for allegedly killing and burning the bodies of three people accused of stealing sheep last August, the NPA said. In 2019, a South African High Court handed down lengthy prison sentences to two White farmers for throwing a 16-year-old teenager out of a moving truck in Coligny, in the North West Province, for allegedly stealing sunflowers. The men were, however, acquitted two years later by a higher court, which overturned their sentencing, citing a lack of evidence. Violent crime is rife in the southern African nation of just over 60 million people, where nearly 20,000 murders were recorded between April and December last year, according to police data. Farm murders, involving both White and Black South Africans, make up a small part, about 0.2% of those killings, even though White nationalist groups make widely disputed claims of a genocide against White farmers.

Montana manhunt expands for ex-soldier suspect seen with stolen survival gear after bar massacre

Montana authorities are expanding a rugged, multi-agency manhunt for a former soldier accused of gunning down four people at a local bar, warning the suspect may be armed with camping gear and survival supplies stolen from a second vehicle. The Montana Department of Justice revealed Sunday that Michael Paul Brown, 45, fled the Owl Bar shooting Friday night shirtless and barefoot, only to later be seen near a stolen white Ford F-150 loaded with clothing, food and outdoor gear. "We know Michael Paul Brown was shirtless and barefoot when he fled…," Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen said on Sunday. "We have very good reason to believe that he is clothed now and possibly carrying camping gear. He is probably able to get around undetected." Brown remained at large as of Monday, with the manhunt carrying on over the weekend. Authorities said that the manhunt for Brown has expanded, with hundreds of local, state and federal officers, including the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation, ATF, FBI, U.S. Marshals and local county agencies. Fox News Digital has reached out to the lead agency in the manhunt, the Montana Department of Justice, for comment. Brown was last seen in "Stump Town," which lies just west of the town of Anaconda, Montana, which is in southwestern Montana. Authorities said that the terrain is steep, remote and heavily wooded. "They're dealing with extremely rugged terrain," Knudsen said. "Local law enforcement is stretched thin right now." The four victims, 64-year-old Nancy Lauretta Kelley, 59-year-old Daniel Edwin Baillie, 70-year-old David Allen Leach and 74-year-old Tony Wayne Palm, were locals known in the small town of Anaconda, which has a population of approximately 9,000. Kelley was a bartender at the local establishment, with the three other victims patrons, authorities said. Brown, authorities revealed, lived next door to the bar. "Everybody knows everybody in a town like this," one resident told The Associated Press. Brown's niece, Clare Boyle, said that her uncle has struggled with mental illness for years, and she and other family members repeatedly sought help. "This isn't just a drunk/high man going wild," she said in a Facebook message to the AP. "It's a sick man who doesn't know who he is sometimes and frequently doesn't know where or when he is either." WATCH: The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of $7,500 for any information that leads to the arrest or capture of Brown. Residents are encouraged to call 1-877-926-8332 to report a tip. Residents in the area have been told to stay inside their homes and remain on high alert. He has been described as 5-foot, 10-inches and about 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. The state's attorney general told residents to not approach the armed and dangerous murder suspect, saying, "This is an unstable individual who walked in and murdered four people in cold blood for no reason whatsoever." Brown was an armor crewman in the Army from January 2001 to May 2005 and served in the National Guard from April 2006 to March 2008, Army Public Affairs confirmed to Fox News Digital. He deployed to Iraq from February 2004 to March 2005 and left the service with the rank of sergeant. He also served as an armor crewman in the Montana National Guard from April 2006 to March 2009, officials said.
