Tesla dealership hit by arson attack in Las Vegas, cybertrucks burned in Kansas

Las Vegas police are investigating a suspected arson and vandalism attack on a Tesla dealership, where multiple vehicles were damaged. Authorities believe the attack was deliberate, involving Molotov cocktails, a firearm, and graffiti.
According to Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the suspect—dressed in black—set at least two vehicles on fire and fired multiple rounds at the dealership. A total of five Tesla vehicles sustained damage, and the word "resist" was spray-painted on the building's front doors. An unignited Molotov cocktail was also discovered inside one of the vehicles.
Authorities have classified the attack as 'targeted' but stated there is no ongoing threat to the public. In response, police presence has been increased at Tesla locations.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk condemned the incident on social media, calling it "insane and deeply wrong." The attack comes amid a broader wave of vandalism against Tesla facilities, which some have linked to backlash over Musk's involvement in the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a federal agency focused on cutting government jobs and programs.

Another suspected arson attack took place late Monday night at a Tesla dealership in Kansas City, Missouri. Police officers responding to the scene found a Cybertruck on fire at the dealership on State Line Road. The flames spread to a second vehicle before firefighters extinguished the blaze.
The Kansas City Bomb and Arson Unit, along with agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), are investigating. Authorities have labeled the incident "suspicious in nature" and are treating it as part of a broader pattern of similar attacks on Tesla locations.
The ATF confirmed that federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies are collaborating on the investigation. Officials have urged the public to report any suspicious activity or potential threats to the FBI or ATF tip lines.
Last week, Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a warning to those involved in Tesla-related vandalism, stating, 'If you're going to touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything, you better watch out because we're coming after you.'
Authorities have not yet identified any suspects, and investigations remain ongoing.

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered the implementation of foolproof security measures across the province in view of Eidul Azha. Transporters found violating fare regulations would face legal action and commuters charged extra must be refunded on the spot. The CM directed the Livestock Department officials to remain present at cattle markets, to monitor animal health, ensure availability of veterinary services and assist the public in purchasing healthy animals. She directed senior administrative and police officers to remain in the field during the Eid holidays, ensuring timely response and on-ground supervision of all arrangements. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a social media video post that ICE had taken into custody the family of Mohamed Sabry Soliman, who lived in Colorado Springs and who federal officials have said was in the US illegally, having overstayed a tourist visa and an expired work permit. Noem said while Soliman will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, federal agents were also "investigating to what extent his family knew about this horrific attack – if they had any knowledge of it or if they provided any support for it." ICE did not immediately respond to a request for more details about the detention of Soliman's family. According to local media reports, Soliman's family included two teenagers and three younger children. FBI and police officials had said on Monday that the family had cooperated with investigators. The suspect told investigators he acted alone. The Sunday attack in Boulder, Colorado, injured a dozen people, many of them elderly. The attack targeted people taking part in an event organized by Run for Their Lives, an organization devoted to drawing attention to the hostages seized during Hamas' 2023 attack on Israel. Soliman, 45, told investigators that he wanted to "kill all Zionist people" but had delayed committing the attack until after his daughter graduated from high school, according to state and federal court documents charging him with attempted murder, assault and a federal hate crime. Police and FBI affidavits quoted the suspect as saying he took firearms training to obtain a concealed-carry permit but ended up using Molotov cocktails because his noncitizen status blocked him from buying guns. Soliman told investigators that he had learned how to make the fire bombs from YouTube. A police affidavit filed in support of Soliman's arrest warrant said he was born in Egypt, lived in Kuwait for 17 years and moved three years ago to Colorado Springs, about 100 miles (161 km) south of Boulder, where he lived with his wife and five children. Federal and local authorities said at a Monday news conference in Boulder that Soliman had done nothing to draw law enforcement's attention before Sunday's attack. He was believed to have acted alone, they said. An affidavit said the suspect "threw two lit Molotov cocktails at individuals participating in the pro-Israel gathering," yelling, "Free Palestine" as they ignited in the crowd. The attack was the latest act of violence aimed at Jewish Americans linked to outrage over Israel's escalating military offensive in Gaza. It followed the fatal shooting of two Israeli Embassy aides that took place outside Washington's Capital Jewish Museum last month.
