Tesco's £25 kitten heels 'give £150 designer rivals a run for their money'
The retailer's F&F clothing brand is selling a pair of pointed toe kitten heel mules that 'look just like a pair from more expensive names but at a fraction of the cost'
This year has already seen a resurgence of classic shoe trends, with everything from ballet flats to slingback heels making a stylish comeback. Many of these revived styles are reminiscent of the 1990s, offering easy-to-style options for fashion enthusiasts.
One such trend is the pointed kitten heel, which has been embraced by celebrities and lauded by fashion magazines this spring. High-end brands such as Steve Madden and Coach offer these timeless designs, with prices ranging from £150 to a whopping £800.
For those seeking a reliable mid-range option, Mango's pointed leather toe sandals are priced at £89. However, for those who love a good bargain, this classic design can be found for less than £30, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Since its return to the online sphere, Tesco's fashion brand F&F has been impressing shoppers with its extensive summer clothing range.
But it's not just about clothes - their shoe selection is equally impressive, featuring everything from strappy sandals to Mary Janes. Among the offerings are the Sacha pointed toe kitten heel mules in black.
This style might be versatile enough for nights out, casual weekends, or paired with jeans for a chic look. These elegant black shoes look like an ideal blend of kitten heel and mule (another fashionable shoe style).
Fans say their low heel makes them a fantastic everyday shoe, while the characteristic open back of the mule design ensures they're easy to slip on and off.
Priced at just £25, these shoes even bear a resemblance to similar styles from more expensive brands. Designer reseller Vestiaire Collective recently sold a near-identical pair of discontinued Massimo Dutti black leather heels for £149.97.
However, one significant distinction with the Tesco shoes is that they are crafted from synthetic linings rather than genuine leather, which could impact their durability.
But for those keen to embrace the chic style dominating fashion circles this summer, these are an excellent starting point.

Hamilton woman stars in Caledonian Sleeper's new campaign
Louise Burke, 43, from Hamilton, is the new face of the Caledonian Sleeper's latest promotional campaign. The musician, actor, and translator has spent years travelling across the UK and described the Caledonian Sleeper as a "lifeline" during her time at university. Read more: Glasgow artist releases 'infectious' new track crowned 'Single of the Week' (Image: Supplied) Louise said: "Travel's always been a big part of my life. "I was always chasing trains, living out of a suitcase, constantly in motion. "My parents will tell you I was never still. "I'm probably one of the Caledonian Sleeper's most loyal customers, to be honest. "It's not anything like other train journeys you've taken - you can actually enjoy the ride and have that little bit of time to unwind, to reflect, and really experience the landscapes and culture of both Scotland and England. "I don't think I realised how much I needed that when my life was so busy." Louise came across the opportunity to join the campaign by chance, responding to an advert. Within days, she was plucked from for her daily commuter life and speaking with the production team. She said: "Within just two or three days, I found myself in a conversation with the production team. "They were really enthusiastic, and one of the first things they mentioned was how much they loved my smile. "That was a nice surprise, and it instantly made me feel welcomed and excited about the project. "I think what really stood out for me was the speed at which everything moved from the initial contact to being fully involved in the campaign. "There was a real energy to the process that made it feel like the right opportunity at the right time, and I couldn't be more excited to be the face of something that connects so closely with my own values around comfort and sustainability." The campaign marks a particularly emotional milestone for Louise and her family. She said: "My grandparents would be so proud of this moment. "They moved from Sunderland to Scotland to create a new future for our family, with my grandfather working in Tesco and my grandmother at the Bassetts factory. "Seeing myself front this campaign as a Scottish local and someone who used to take the Sleeper just to get home has been surreal and incredibly moving." The reaction from family and friends has been overwhelmingly positive, but it's Louise's train-loving nephews who have been most impressed. (Image: Supplied) She said: "They are mad about trains and just wide-eyed seeing their auntie front the campaign. "They have been full of questions. "They cannot quite believe it. "That has been the most joyful part of all. The Caledonian Sleeper has long played an important part in the lives of commuters like Louise, who hopes her full-circle moment will add a personal touch to its legacy. She said: "The Caledonian Sleeper stands as a proud symbol of both Scottish heritage and international connections". "To be the face of a national campaign like this, representing something so iconic and rooted in my own heritage, was, simply put, overwhelming in the best possible way."

How to save money at Tesco EVERY little helps when it comes to saving money at Tesco. The Sun's Head of Consumer Tara Evans explains how you can save money at the UK's biggest supermarket. Clubcard points Tesco first launched it's loyalty scheme back in 1995. You get one point for every £1 you spend in store. If you spend points in store then 100 points is worth £1. You can spend your points via its reward partners and get triple and even sometimes quadruple the value. Extend Clubcard points You can find lost Clubvcard points and find the last two years of unused vouchers by logging into the Tesco Clubcard site. Clubcard prices If you don't have a Clubcard then you will miss out on its cheaper Clubcard prices. However, don't forget to check prices before you shop because it might not be cheaper than elsewhere, especially on big value items like washing powder and loo roll. Yellow stickers Shops do vary the time they reduce groceries with yellow stickers but Tesco tends to be between 7pm and 9pm. Save money if you shop online If you get your Tesco food shop delivered then it might be worth buying a delivery saver pass to help cut the cost of delivery fees. If you live near a Tesco then you can get click and collect slots of as little as 25p, so it might be cheaper than getting your food delivered.
