Next shoppers floored by 'beautiful' £18 item 'perfect for cosy living rooms'
Next customers are loving a "beautiful" indoor light that looks "cosy" and "quite lovely." As autumn approaches, many are on the lookout for ways to spruce up their living rooms - and Next's"stunning" decor could impress shoppers.
The retailer's £18 Natural Hamish The Highland Cow with Basket Feature Light has already proven popular with customers, gaining an average score of five stars on Next's website. The product description says: "This cute little Hamish the highland cow is holding a lit basket. A lovely little addition to any corner of your home.
"Hamish is battery operated requiring 2XAA batteries which are not included. There is a handy on/off switch and has a handy timer with 6 hours on time and 18 hours off."
For shoppers looking for animal -themed decor, other options include Robert Dyas' £29.99 Highland Orb Solar Powered Garden Ornament Light, which also has glowing reviews.
Customers looking for something different might prefer Dunelm's £16 Personalised Highland Cow LED Lantern, which allows them to add a personalised message over four lines. Elsewhere, B&Q offers a First Choice Lighting Angus Highland Cow Table Lamp With Oatmeal Linen Shade for £29.99.
Yet, shoppers might prefer Next's Natural Hamish The Highland Cow with Basket Feature Light. While the light has only received seven reviews to date, the majority of feedback is positive.
A happy shopper wrote: "A beautiful light that isnt too bright. Perfect for our cosy living room, and it's timed so we don't have to remember to turn it on and off. Would buy more."
Another reviewer echoed: "It's beautiful. I have it in my kitchen. I have all the set - absolutely stunning." Another fan shared: "I brought Hamish light feature as a present. It's quite lovely and I'm going to buy one for myself. Such a lovely little light feature."
Someone else added: "Great good and fantastic value good collection." A different customer found: "Delivery was quick and had no issues."
Despite this, some shoppers shared less positive feedback on Trustpilot. For example, someone claimed: "The order came in 5 separate lots, 2 were delayed and then 1 of those was actually missing which meant I had to reorder the item. A lot of visiting the store unnecessarily. Store staff were very friendly and helpful though."
Another shopper said: "Really disappointed with delivery time. Although kept up to date with progress, had to shop elsewhere to purchase another until this item was arrived."
A customer who purchased a lamp added: "Now that I have assembled the reading lamp I am quite pleased with it, it looks smart, unobtrusive and works well. However, an envelope within the packaging said 'fixings enclosed' - it was empty, no fixings inside.
"The assembly instructions were on a scruffy, torn piece of paper and clearly didn't even relate to my purchase. Fortunately, it was pretty obvious what was required for successful assembly.
"It was very sloppy and irritating to include the incorrect information, please look at your supplier's quality control!" However, it's worth noting Next's overall rating on Trustpilot is 4.2, which is classed as 'great.'
For shoppers interested in Next's Natural Hamish The Highland Cow with Basket Feature Light, the standard cost of home delivery is £4.95, or store collection is free.

Next's 'great quality' £60 boots that can be 'worn all night' reduced to £15
The price markdown on these Next Black Leather Forever Comfort Chisel Toe Chelsea Ankle Boots means customers can save £45 Next has slashed the price of a sought-after pair of black ankle Chelsea boots, which many customers praise for their high quality and comfort that lasts all night. In the retailer's latest online clearance event, the Black Leather Forever Comfort Chisel Toe Chelsea Ankle Boots have been discounted to just £15, tumbling from the original £60. This significant reduction allows shoppers to save a hefty £45. Next touts these ankle-high boots as " stylish" and highlights their smooth leather construction with a chisel toe and a "stretchy" elasticated side panel for ease. They also feature a zippered fastening for simple slipping on and off. Next further notes: " A Forever Comfort cushioned footbed provides cushioned comfort, finished with a short heel." The boots boast a 5cm heel and come in sizes ranging from a UK three to nine, though stock is already dwindling in some sizes. Customers can opt for either a standard or wide fit, with two colour options available: classic black and a chic navy. For those considering other similar styles, Amazon offers the Rodawu Women's Ankle Chelsea Boots at £38, available in three shades. Meanwhile, Debenhams has cut the price of the Wallis Wide Fit Alma Faux Suede Kitten Heel Pointed Ankle Boots to £22, down from £55, reports Coventry Live. With an impressive average rating of 4.7 out of five stars, Next's Black Leather Forever Comfort Chisel Toe Chelsea Ankle Boots have won over shoppers. A customer named Anneke shared her satisfaction, saying: "Very good quality, comfortable and smart. Reasonable price." One satisfied customer shared: "Lovely boots, wore them out last night and they were comfy all night including the walk home! Looked great with trousers." Another added: "Super comfy and stylish boots. Just what I was looking for!" However, not everyone was thrilled, as one disgruntled buyer reported: "Very poor quality. Save your money and put it towards a better quality pair of boots," after experiencing the leather peeling off after minimal wear. Another noted a slight issue, saying: "The reason for 4 starts rather than 5 is that the fit around the lower ankle is not quite right for my foot.... but being suede, I expect them to soften and fit better over time." Despite some niggles, the bulk of feedback was glowing, with many five-star reviews. Praise continued with one person commenting: "Beautiful navy colour and material. Very comfy, they look smart and stylish." Another said: "Perfect for wide feet. Fits great and very comfy to walk in. Very flattering don't make feet look wide. Good quality." A customer who opted for the 'extra wide' version expressed delight: "Fantastic to be able to buy fashionable footwear in 'extra wide' sizing. These boots are super comfy, but elegant at the same time, thanks to the shaped heel. And there is adequate room inside for a lightly padded insole if needed. The blue is a greyish navy, which suits my intended outfits perfectly."

My council flat is so stylish thanks to second-hand finds – plus the treasure chest place you need to look for bargains
A SAVVY woman has revealed how she transformed her council flat into a super stylish home. Charlene Bonnici, a bargain hunter from the UK, confirmed that she was on a mission to give her pad a makeover without breaking the bank. 6 6 Now, thanks to second-hand buys and bargains from Dunelm and Temu, Charlene's home is incredibly impressive and super unique. Posting on social media, the young woman gave her followers a close-up look inside her home, leaving many totally stunned. Alongside clips of her council property, which has been kitted out with funky prints and glam accessories, Charlene explained: 'Living in a council flat doesn't mean giving up on beauty or style. It means finding creative ways to make every corner feel like home. 'This is about making the most of what we have, proving that warmth, personality, and pride don't depend on where you live, but how you live.' Since then, Charlene has opened up to Fabulous about her council flat and how she has been able to make it look so luxe whilst sticking to a tight budget. The DIY enthusiast told us: 'Most of my wall prints are from Temu - which are a couple of pounds each - and Desenio. 'A few still don't have frames yet, but I like to get them up on the wall anyway so I can admire them until I can afford the frames. 'My sofa is actually a broken second-hand IKEA one I have had for years. I'm actually saving for a new one….it's on a slope on one side. 'I've covered it with a Comfortly sofa cover that I saved up for ages to get.' Not only this, but Charlene also revealed the treasure chest place you need to search if you want to get your hands on purse-friendly interior finds. Trolls say council houses can't look nice but my stunning hallway will prove them wrong 'My coffee table was a total Facebook Martketplace bargain, (originally from John Lewis) I grabbed it for £30! ' Facebook Marketplace is such a treasure chest,' she added. As well as looking online for bargains, Charlene also loves shopping in the sales too. I very rarely buy things brand new unless I really love them and have saved up for them, so it's all been a bit of a mix-and-match process Charlene Bonnici She continued: 'My rug was from Dunelm for just £25 in the sale, which I'm still so happy about. 'I buy most of my things second-hand, and if I've got my eye on something special (like my Smeg kettle), I'll save for months until I can get it. How to do your council house up on the cheap Take inspiration from pricier shops and head to B&M, Home Bargains for interior decorations. Head to YouTube for easy to follow tutorials on how to decorate rather than paying for professionals. For a quick glow-up for your floors or anywhere with tiles, opt for stick-on vinyl to save on costs. A lick of paint does wonders to make a room feel brand-new. Switch out kitchen cupboard knobs for modern ones instead of buying brand-new cupboards 'I also love picking up little decor bits from Amazon, TK Maxx, Dunelm and H&M when they have sales.' Thrilled with her home's glam look, the content creator shared: 'I've collected everything so slowly over time - I very rarely buy things brand new unless I really love them and have saved up for them, so it's all been a bit of a mix-and-match process.' 6 6 DIY fans beam Charlene's TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ at_home_with_charl, has clearly impressed many, as users eagerly raced to the comments to praise her 'beautiful' home. Not only did people think it was 'cosy' and 'stylish,' but others were 'obsessed' with Charlene's glam decor. One person said: 'Lovely. Clean, tidy, organised and cosy.' Another added: 'Wow, this is actually stunning! What a beautiful home.' A third commented: 'I love your style.'
