Yogi Adityanath to lead consecration at Ayodhya Ram Temple on June 5
This would be the second consecration event at the temple in over a year, with the first one taking place last January.
"On this special occasion, the Chief Minister will seek the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, further strengthening his profound spiritual connection with Ayodhya," an official statement read.
Ayodhya, a city marked for its temples, will also celebrate the 'Trayodashi' birth anniversary of the Saryu River.
According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the pran pratishtha rituals are scheduled to commence at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
The event will coincide with the 53rd birthday of priest-politician Mr. Adityanath.
Over the past eight years, Ayodhya has seen development projects exceeding ₹32,000 crore falling in its lot, with a considerable chunk of it spent on road, rail, and air connectivity.
The district administration has already put the city under a comprehensive security cover in anticipation of a large crowd.
Anjani Seva Sansthan president Shashikant Maharaj said, "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Maharaj has lifted Lord Ram from a symbolic cradle and enshrined him in a grand temple. On June 5, Raja Ram will be ceremonially reinstalled, just as Guru Vashishtha performed His coronation in Treta Yuga, Yogi Maharaj will now perform His tilak. He has tirelessly worked to restore Ayodhya's glory and place it on the global map."
On the change in the city over the past decade, he said, "Eight years ago, people were afraid to walk from Naya Ghat to Guptar Ghat after dark. Today, places like Aarti Ghat have become centres of devotion and celebration."
Mahant Mithilesh Nandini Sharan said, "It is heartening that a monk (Adityanath) has not only understood the spiritual pulse of the state but has also energised it. Today, the people of Ayodhya no longer need to leave in search of livelihoods."
Chamber of Commerce president Pankaj Gupta said the city of Ayodhya has entered a phase of "perennial bliss" under the "double-engine" government led by the BJP.

Mr. Adityanath further directed that matters related to revenue and police be resolved with complete transparency, fairness, and sensitivity, so that every victim receives justice.

The Chief Minister reiterated that land belonging to the poor must be protected from illegal occupation. He directed officials to take strict legal action against land grabbers, stating that no one—regardless of influence—would be allowed to exploit vulnerable citizens. 'If land belonging to the poor is encroached upon, it should be vacated immediately and those responsible must face consequences,' he said. In one incident, when a woman reported that her land had been seized by a local strongman, Adityanath immediately ordered the administration and police to free the land without delay. Officials were instructed to pursue the case with fairness and sensitivity, ensuring that victims receive justice without intimidation or bias. Several attendees also sought financial help for medical treatment. The Chief Minister assured them of government support and directed officers to prepare cost estimates quickly so that assistance could be approved without delay. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inaugurated the state's first and the country's second green hydrogen plant at Khanimpur village in Gorakhpur district, set up by Torrent Gas and Torrent Power, an official statement issued here said. Calling it a milestone in clean energy transition, Adityanath said green hydrogen represents the "energy of the future" and would play a decisive role in protecting biodiversity, reducing carbon emissions and improving human health. Addressing the gathering, he said, "If we wish to save humanity and civilisation, we must minimise carbon emissions. The green here doesn't mean that the produced hydrogen gas is of green colour; it is a reference to zero usage of fossil fuels in the production of hydrogen gas. The Gorakhpur facility will blend green hydrogen with CNG and PNG for domestic and industrial use, marking a major step in clean fuel innovation. He said that with abundant water resources, UP is well-positioned to emerge as a hub for green hydrogen production. He cited examples of successful green initiatives such as LED streetlights, which have drastically reduced power consumption and carbon emissions. Stressing affordability, he noted, "Like mobile phones, which were once costly but became accessible to all, green hydrogen too will become cheaper in the coming years." Highlighting broader environmental concerns, he said unchecked exploitation of nature, excessive use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers, and deforestation have led to climate change, irregular rainfall, and rising health problems such as cancer and liver ailments. He urged greater adoption of natural farming and green energy to ensure a sustainable future. Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan, who also attended the programme, termed the project a "game-changer" that would script a new energy revolution in Gorakhpur, while Sahjanwa MLA Pradeep Shukla said such projects were steering UP towards becoming a developed state by 2047. The CM also planted a Rudraksha sapling at the site, symbolising the state's commitment to environmental protection.
